Unable To Get High

I've smoked weed about 10 times (in my entire lifetime), but unfortunately I have felt NOTHING from smoking it. I have no physical or psychological changes whenever I smoke, and even though I've only done it a few times shouldn't I still be feeling something? I've toked up with my friends most of these times and they've always got baked, while I'm just sitting there completely unaffected even though I smoked the same amount as them. What the fuck is up with this? I have been wondering if for some reason my body is unable to get high, which would suck quite badly, but I don't see how this is possible since I've never heard of it happening before.

I was/am planning to buy a pipe soon but theres no use in buying it and throwing the money down the drain by not being able to get any effect from smoking out of it. Is there some "test" I can do to see if cannabis affects me at all? This is bothering me a lot.

Thats odd. If the weed was half decent and you inhaled you should of got high. My advise would be get the best weed you can and do some cooking with it have you access to hash? If you do melt around .3g in to butter and stir it into some youghart, if the hash is half decent you will be gone. There is something in youghart that gets you higher apparantly. If you don't get high then maybee your body is very good at destroying THC. I know a girl who did speed a lot when she was young and had no effect from it so it can happen.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll definitely try it. Would mixing the butter and hash into a saucepan then heating it over a stove until it melts, then mixing the yogurt into it and eating that work or is there another way I should go about it?

I think it's easily possible that some folks have fewer cannabinoid receptors than others and can't get high. I know it sometimes takes extended practice in order to sensitize those receptors and get them activated so you do get high because I experienced that myself when I first smoked years ago. If you continue to try--and I assume you're inhalaing and taking it in properly--and get no results, that may be the problem. I know this happens sometimes with opioid receptors, too, because I'm one of the ones who doesn't seem to have enough of those and so can't feel the effects of opiate-derived drugs like morphine or codeine when I've been prescribed those drugs for pain.

The butter and hash mixture would be a fine approach, by the way, and would be a good way to get the THC fat-activated before you ingest it.

Yeah thats pretty much how I prepare it. What I do is take a small bit of butter and melt it on a table spoon with a lighter. I then stir the hash in and after it has all disolveed in to the butter stir the mixture in to some youghart. Sort of like cooking up heroin (which I don't do). I usually use those Muller yougharts with the corner sachet of fruits and stuff but I don't think it would matter much as long as it is proper youghart.

I'm not sure why it is so effective but with the last lot of hash i had I got higher eating the same quantity than smoking it. Effects take an hour to kick in and two hours for peak effects. :rasta: :thumbsup:

you probly just have a strong tolerence like me, save your money cuz if you buy a nick or gram you will feel nothing. honestly it takes 2-2.5 grams to get me seein psycadellic shit save your money, buy in bulk, you'll be there in no time. this isnt neccesarily a curse tho. hang it over your friends heads that u have a strong tollerence. be proud i am

maybe u should inhale... i mean no offense but if ur able to count how many times u've blazed it so far, that means ur pretty new at this.

i had a friend who kept the smoke in his mouth the first few times he blazed it...

and maybe u might consider buying a bong to make sure ur hitting it right.

ps - if ur gonna spend 2 - 2.5 grams like nice dreamz said just to get stoned once, ur wasting mad money shit might as well consider jus quiting smoking weed all together ( im thinking u.s. prices )

I do inhale, just because I haven't gotten high doesn't mean I'm not smoking it right. I know I'm smoking it right, and I knew how to smoke weed before I ever did it. And I know I am very new with smoking weed, but 10 times should be plenty enough to feel at least something.

As for buying a bong, I can't afford one right now, plus I wouldn't be able to hide it from my parents. If I'm smoking from a pipe though that shouldn't be the reason I'm not getting high.

And for wasting my money on only 2-2.5 grams, it would only be $25 for some good bud around here max for that amount. How would I be wasting my money? If I bought it in bulk and found out I can't get high, THAT would be a lot of money wasted.

On another note, I did some asking around to see if I could get some hash and nobody has it, nor can any of the "dealers" around here get it. It's ridiculous, and this is an awful area to get mostly any kind of drug. I'll still be looking around for it though and there still might be a couple dealers I can get it from, eventually.

are you smoking stress (mexican brick)? how many methods have you tried smoking, you should try a bong, take a huge ripp, hold it in for as long as you can no matter how bad it "hurts"

I actually have a friend like this. It seems he really IS unable to get high. We watched him smoke 3 blunts back to back, by himself, making sure he did it properly and everything, and he still didn't get high in the least bit. I honestly think he's immune to weed's effects lol. Anyways, I don't have any real advice to give you, just thought I would share that story tho.

Mix up your method. The only reason I want high my first time was because I couldnt hold the smoke in my virgin lungs. Contrary to what you may think I say take smaller rips

The stuff I've been smoking is mids, maybe slightly lower grade, but definitely not schwag or mexican brick. I've smoked with my friends with a cheap ass metal pipe, but the first time I toked up was with a bong and a glass pipe, which of course hit much better. Again, I'm positive I'm taking good rips, because I hold the smoke in for awhile and I feel the burn.

And no, I definitely don't smoke because of peer pressure. It's more the other way around, not that I pressure anyone to do it (does that make any sense?). I think drugs are a great thing to experience in life and my interest in doing them isn't influenced by anybody other than myself.

I guess I'll just have to buy like a sixteenth of some real good bud and smoke up alone, that will hopefully prove successful in getting me blitzed.

It's simple really, if you want to get high, buy some dank like 1-2grams. Smoke a joint by yourself. IF that joint doesn't work then smoke another. I call it the smoke 2 joints method, it's quite well known. The key to this method is smoke by yourself! You want to get all the hits. Just trust me.

Are you actually inhaling. Cos some people just puff on it and let the smoke blow out and dont take it down.

You can use bud in that youghart method but you will need to make some bud butter first probably from a gram or two and then put a bit in the youghart. Do a quick google on bud butter to learn how to make it.

How many people are you smoking with? If it's with a bunch of people then I would suggest somking by yourself. Try to smoke to some real relaxing music, or with something that is real mellow to you. Relax is the key, before you know it you'll be baked.

When I first started smoking I wasn't very good at taking hits so I never got high. After my first time it got A LOT easier. Also, the people I was smoking with were more experienced and they made a "one hit pass" rule which kinda sucked because they were taking huge ass hits while I wasn't really getting anything..

Lol, it's not too difficult. Just get a dime bag and a pipe, walk off into the woods alone, and give it a go. It might be better to first try it alone so you're not worried about what other people are thinking.

All you literally do is breathe normally, only with your mouth around that pipe. Your lungs might start to fill up a little and burn, then when you can't hold no more, exhale, sit back, and prepare to be ripped.

You gatta be doing something wrong. Just get alot of flame ass bud and smoke it correctly by having a friend help you out.

I am doing it correctly, and I always have. I think the "problem" is that I naturally have a higher tolerance than most people, I usually get about 4-5 good hits when smoking with friends and it's just not enough, I'm going to buy a glass pipe and smoke a couple bowls by myself and see what happens.

Well 4-5 hits may not be good enough for you. My friend can take 4-5 hits and not be high (he also has 0 smoking tolerance for quitting for 3 months) and I can be high after the 4th or 5th and smoke everyday for the past month.

I would say nextime you smoke have your friend or you make a home made bong. If you dont know how to make one post back.

By natural tolerance I mean having a higher tolerance than most people. Everyone's tolerance level is different, regardless of how many times they've smoked weed before.

That was an estimate... the prices around here are pretty low (Buffalo, NY), but it's also hard to find good dank buds in this area.

That's probably true, but when passing around the bowl I'm not going to take more hits than other people because that would be selfish, even if my tolerance level is higher than everyone else I'm smoking with. Toking up alone is the only thing I can do right now to see if I get high, and to do that I need a bong, pipe, or some other method of smoking weed which I don't have right now.

I've been looking around the net to find ways of making one, and they are all too complex for me. I am horrible at projects, and I know I'll do something wrong... not to mention I don't have all the materials. I'm just going to have to wait until I can buy a pipe or something.

I think you just need to relax, and try to feel it. My first couple of times nothing happened because I was all like "Hey, nothings happening, lol, wtf!" Just relax, take some deep breaths, and if you feel a little change in feeling just concentrate on it. Don't resist anything, and just clear your mind. Before you know it you'll be BLAZED

Hey, I know how u feel, when i first started, I got so pissed cuz I could never get stoned, just keep at it and do it several days in a row, if you are doing it like once a month, u'll probably never get fucked up! I'm pretty sure u have to have at least SOME cannaboids in your system, just get them built up, smoke a lot of hash and u'll be fine forever pretty much.. unless maybe u don't get any for like 20 years lol

I finally got high. My friend and I smoked about a gram of mids on Sunday out of my new chillum/one-hitter, and I got a bit high surpisingly. Today I toked up with a couple friends I haven't hung out with lately, we had like 2 bowl packs of chronic (not sure how much), and I got high again.

I guess it was just the people and the weed I was smoking with that didn't get me high. Their weed wasn't that great and we only ever had enough to get a few hits each of weed that I THOUGHT was mid grade but is complete shit sompared to the stuff I can get now, and we always smoked out of a shitty $5 metal pipe. Now, I know the right people and can get good shit. And I have a decent piece.

Tomorrow I'm getting an eighth of that bud I smoked today, now that I got high, I'm going to see how blitzed I can get.:stoned:
