i heard it fucks you up alot and puts things into a whole different perspective...
sure it can make you get stuck in a perpetual loop of laughter
but thats not what its good for and niether is to "trip"
when used correctly it will bring you to other dimensions

However, the common perception is that salvia doesn't just make you "Trip". I know a lot about salvia divinorum. I've done 20Xtract and below, many times. Not to get "fucked up" but to explore my mind and the interactions with this plant.
My first time, I felt a tug on my body and I knew I was in for something unexpected.. I ended up in a dreamy state where I couldn't stop laughing, and it was pleasant.
After that, every trip was crazy. It doesn't just make you see things, or make you feel happy (that isn't the point of salvia)
It Re-Writes your reality. Right now, you beleive you're a human, that you're reading something someone else wrote on a computer.
Imagine having no knoledge what-so-ever of that. Imagine inventing an entire perception of reality out of nothing, or maybe out of a chair in your room. Not just THINKING it, BELEIVING IT. You go Temporarily INSANE. But i'm not saying it's bad, becuase you don't realize it's bad unless you do a small dose and fight the feeling of reality slipping away.
My advice: Tell your friend to smoke some weed before hand, get generally stoned, THEN try salvia. For me, it usually makes the trip have a happier glow to it, even if I don't realize i'm stoned.
Be careful with these types of drugs... Always have a trip sitter. Bad things can happen if you think you're in a candy store licking on a lolly-pop when you're really in the middle of the woods dining on a bunch of broken glass shards. :dance:

I am soon going to be ordering 15X salvia extract, and cannot decide whether I should buy 1 or 3 grams, my friend and I are splitting the cost and the extract.
How much/how many hits does it take for salvia to take its full possible effect?

Its a good thing she didn't trip on the first time - most people freak out and never do Salvia again.
Doing salvia is like running a sprint - you can't just rock up on the day and expect to come first place, you need to train your body to adapt and get faster......
the same for sally-d. Take small doses and SLOWLY increase the dose until the hallucinogenic effects start happening. Even then, take it SLOW. I'm not sure of the dosage but have a look on Erowid:

and have a search there. It'll tell you everything you need to know. Remember, take it slow and get very comfortable with the drug (but always respects sally) and enjoy the ride.
If you laugh, or even make a single noise while on salvia, you ruin the whole trip. For a good, memorable trip, you have to be in complete darkness and complete silence. They probably laughed because they did it outside.
Smoking salvia is like jumping into an ice-cold lake. If you do it once, you probably won't do it again.
if you take a small dosage you tend to get uncontrollable laughter. take about an eigth of a gram and you should trip pretty nicely. Respect it though, don't take it to get "fucked up" or it may seriously fuck you up in a bad way. Take it to enhance your mind, and it helps to ask salvia questions before taking it such as "what is the afterlife like?" it sometimes gives you answers.

the other nite i got .5g of 10x... i used a gravity bong (i want to get it again and use a pipe next time, also i put in abt .1-.125g in it) and lit it up and got a good amount of smoke in there... then i breathed it in and held for abt 20 seconds... but i didnt get any effects except i felt a little dizzy...
wen i blew out there was no smoke so im thinking i didnt do it rite (unless its normal wen u hold it)... also im wondering if wat i bought wasnt actually salvia extract.. i got it at a headshop and it smelled just like greentea leaves... is that also normal?

I hate that part of salvia the moment before you start to trip but havent quite got there, all i do is laugh but nothings funny it can be quite scary some times lol...
i really dont know all this uncontrolable laughter part... haven't really experienced that my self or seen others experience it while on salvia... i mean i have a hard time even trying to stand up or even trying to speak while im at my peak...
anyways. its really an unexplainble feeling. i suggest u pick up 20x or above to get a good high out of it.
first time i tried was a 20x... even though people say start off at like 10x.
