I originally only got MySpace to hook up with females in my local area, but MySpace is so boring I dont even do that anymore.

I use it for networking/promotion. There are a ton of uses for myspace, it just depends how you choose to use it.

I cant stand it either.

how many musicians become famous off of myspace?...Artists with the most plays or views are usually already famous...that's pointless.
It's a playground for youth and too many pervs. imo i'd stay as far away from there as possible.

You wanna get your music out upload it somewhere else, or stick to the old fashioned way of doing shows and selling/giving away CD's..:thumbsup:

Go check out the band "The Hollywood Undead".

Their growing fanbase starting with nothing but Myspace members and a skyrocketing count of views.

I'm not saying people become famous everyday from myspace, but in this day and age you need to market yourself using every tool you have available to you.

Matchbook Romance was signed before they played a single show due to sending their first single out to promoters ONLINE.

Linkin Park was signed on their first show due to getting a large enough fan base ONLINE.

But in no way am i trying to say don't use every possible means to get your music out.
