First off, I want to say although this is my first post I have been reading these forums for weeks now and I already recognize styles certain members use and I enjoy reading everyone's posts, in all the different boards! I have been a member of other forums similar (emphasis on similar because I've found nothing compares to the community here) to this one. I wish I had never wasted my time elsewhere! I'm glad to be here now and I hope I can learn from all of you and share what mary jane is to me :)
I'm home for the summer from college and I quit smoking for about a month and a half now in hopes that I would find a good summer job somewhere that might require a drug test. I haven't got any calls back for any of my applications and I've grown tired of the wait, especially reading all these dern posts about mary jane. I look back at my short stint with sobriety being a little pissed that I could have been smoking all this time. But I am also glad that it gave me time to think. I had my first dance with mary jane when I was about 14. I didn't start smoking habitually until I was 16. To give you an idea, my mom gave me money for an ounce of some GOOD for my graduation present :) I would say I'm an intelligent guy, I finished 5th in my class. People were sooo pissed that I could smoke "the devil drug" and do so well in school, I thought it was great :) I got a good scholarship and some great financial aid to a good private college. After my "graduation ounce" was spent I stopped cold turkey for college. Boy was I naive haha. I hadn't smoked for about 2 months and had been in college for about a month when I met what would be my best friend there. He was a soccer player and I was a baseball player and he was sitting in the gazebo outside of our dorm smoking out of an apple. I had talked to him before and I knew he smoked and all, but I never really hung out with him before. He asked if I smoked and I just kind of chuckled and told him it had been a while, and 2 months feels like forever when you've been smoking regularly the last two years. I smoked with him out of that apple then he said he was going over to his friends room and they were going to smoke some more and I could come if I wanted, already buzzin' I couldn't turn it down. After that day, my year of college is a blur haha. It is no joke to say I smoked almost every single day there on out. I even went as far to join a fraternity that basically the only thing they did was smoke. When I joined the frat, I got back into selling through my old high school buddy who has ALWAYS been my reliable hook up. I didn't even do it to make money, I did it to sell the 3 oz's and keep 1 oz for me and my best buds (including the ol dude I smoked with for the first time in college). When I had the green, my buds and I toked up. When they had the green, my buds and I toked up. It was cool and real relaxed.
If youre still reading, youre probably wondering where in the hell I am going with this. Well, I realized that besides 1 other guy (I chose him as my "big brother" in the fraternity) that I was the only one there who appreciated marijuana. I saw it as an art, an EXPERIENCE. Everything. From inspecting it before you buy it, to breaking it up, to packing it up, to smoking it, to enjoying its pleasant effects, and to even storing it in such a way that it truly deserves. Everyone else just wanted to get high. They didn't care how they rolled it or how they got it or what it was, they just wanted to get that buzz. I partly got drawn into that and looking back I didn't appreciate it as much. Being sober this last month and a half has brought on a new perspective about marijuana. I won't let myself lose that appreciation I once had, and still do have, for the great herb. I was doing it every daggon day at least twice a day. Weed should be an experience to enjoy and I think spending every moment of your day stoned is a waste of a special thing.
So I have decided to say fuke the jobs that don't bother calling me. I am going to be a buss boy at a restaraunt instead. No drug test, no worries. I'm still in college so I wasn't looking for a career job. I was trying to find a UPS, Fed Ex, DHL, factory type job that payed really well for the summer. Sadly, I've come to the realization that's not going to happen. I am just going to get a nice secure buss boy job at a local Damon's or Tumbleweed that I can keep as long as needed with no pesky pre-employment drug tests.
The old high school buddy, the old high school dealer, the sure fire every time friend of mine that always delivers....is getting a call tomorrow. We'll discuss prices and the product he's got in, I'll stop at the bank, and I'll procede to his house to pick up an ounce of what you guys would call mids. "Back in the day" this guy was pushing what everyone here would call "schwagg." I am talking $75 an ounce. It got you high, but it wasn't pretty and it wasn't mind blowing. He has since evolved you could say and he deals mostly with hydro now. He's got very reliable hook ups that I dont bother to ask about that delivers some of the finest hydro bud I have seen. But he also has very reliable hook ups to where he can get some darn good mids as well. He has no problems getting me mids, doing a favor for an old friend. He never ups the price to put change in his pocket (although he did up the price for me when I was selling quarter pounds for him, which I didn't have a problem with since he told me straight up what was going on and I was cool with it since that is a whole different ball game compared to me getting some personal stuff). I can get an ounce of some good mids for $120 or $130 depending what it is he can get. I will be paying him a visit tomorrow and he knew I would be calling him again sometime, as I told him the last time I burnt down with him that I was quitting to try and get a job and he would be getting a call as soon as I pissed clean.
I will post pics of the bag I get so you guys can see what I am talking about. Even though he has hydro all the time, I just can't see myself dropping that kind of money. I am perfectly intent on buying what me and him call "some good" for a fraction of the price for mind blowing hydro. For a while he had only been getting this stuff that smelled EXACTLY like fruity pebbles (the cereal) with a fruity taste to it. He said he didn't know what strain it was, but I had smoked some of it with him and I can honestly say it was BETTER than the Jack Herer I had smoked once or twice in college, at least to me it was. I apologize that this post has gone on so long, but I can't hold back the excitement knowing that I am going to be loading up my first bowl in my brand new bong (that has NOT been touched with any smoking matter since I bought it a few weeks ago) that I got specially for this occasion, and well of course because I needed a new bong since my old one cracked. I will go picture crazy tomorrow and you guys will get to share in this special occasion with me whether you like it or not :) The weed, my tools, my pieces (although they pale in comparison to some of the collections on here)..everything. I'm just super excited to be a part of this community and look forward to many goofy posts while in that beautiful state of stonedness :)
