Emegency man..plant about to die, brown shrunken dried leaves. What to do???
my plant is about 4 weeks old and was extremely healthy until a day agot when i noticed light green-brownish color on the leave and began to dry up and shrink. i water it often but not too often and i've been using Foxfarm Grow Big and Big Bloom with every other watering. to save electricity I would but the small plant outside during the day and then for another six hours under the Metal Haloid Light in the closet. keep the humidity 50 to 60 and the temp. at 80-90 maybe too hot! whats the problemo, is there anything i can do to save it, and what can i do to prevent it from happening again???

Emegency man..plant about to die, brown shrunken dried leaves. What to do???
Just start over, don't give anything but water for at least the first 2 weeks, looks like it burned up from fert, your temps are fine, maybe the MH light was too much for it? looks pretty small for 4 weeks IMO

also the humidity so high...everytime my humidity gets over 50..boom ...fungus........with good ventilation you can keep humidity low and stop the fungus before it stops you

I can't see the pic but it sounds like over ferting, suppose you could try running a shit load of water through the pot and see if you can revive it. If I was you I would turn it into a test experiment and grow it to maturity and see if you can make something of it, experience is good.

Emegency man..plant about to die, brown shrunken dried leaves. What to do???
I had a $5 humidifier (wick style) running to keep humidity up to 50% but it broke.. broke in the on position.. and just emptied its contents at full blast over the last two days or so and now over half my f**kn plants are dying of MOLD or Fungus..
I mean I saw the problem.. but it was so freaky to diagnose.. there were spots.. but plants looked healthy.. thought it might be nutes but there were two of them outside of the hydroponic system that had the same symptoms.. and two new seedlings.. all the same.. but a bell pepper plant that I use as a tester for new hydroponic mixes showed no ill signs.. I was scouring the FAQ's for possible issues and looking at 100's of pics of plants.
I have root misters under the roots that I noticed were making an unusually abundant amount of mist (this later proved the rediculously high humidity).. There was a hygrometer readout on the machine which is what I used to determine humidity but that reading was the whole problem.. there is no telling how long it has been off or by how far.. the thing was drinking a gallon a day..
I shut off the humidifier (and the root misters too for extra effect) and increased ventillation a couple hours ago.. this should dry out the plants and hopefully they will survive.
Anything else I should do? Should I cut off the affected leafs or wait for them to die?? It would mean cutting about 1/3 of the leafs off some of the plants.. they are almost 3 weeks old.

Emegency man..plant about to die, brown shrunken dried leaves. What to do???
plants have taken a turn for the better over the last 12 hrs.. all but one of the 3 week olds are turning around and even the one that looks bad is puting out new uneffected growth.. there is a baby thats just hanging on by a thread..
What else can I do for these guys? Its dried out in there.. no folar feeding or watering till this clears up.. or should i?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.. I can get pics but its a hassle.. I have to drag the hydro setup or the plant infront of webcam for piss poor pic anyways.. just imagine MOLD and FUNGUS.. you dont want to see the picture! :(

the plant you showed a pic of is trashed.
utterly trashed.
cut it and start over.
at 4 weeks, it was a shithead to begin with.
Plants should be huge after 4 weeks.

Emegency man..plant about to die, brown shrunken dried leaves. What to do???
like i said...fungus is among us...I have same prob right now with white widow group
Solution: Clip all fungus parts ALL...then take everyone out of room and scrub with strong chem cleaner..if in soil..scrape soil off top or transplant
***these babies dont need no humidity**** I live in one of the driest places on earth and I grow great..If you wanaa stop fungus you gotta try and keep humidity as low as possible a humidifier (im sry to say) is like weed killer.
Good luck my friend....

Emegency man..plant about to die, brown shrunken dried leaves. What to do???
mine are hydroponic.. since i killed the humidifier they have taken up a new love for life.. even the leafs with fungus have stopped getting worse.. they are now getting better but I can see dead spots on the previously affected leafs (not getting worse).. I was thinking about letting them grow another couple sets of good leafs then cut off the damaged ones.. the fungus appears to be completely dead and not spreading..
When will it be safe to turn my root misters back on? Im thinking when I cut the injured leafs off.. its gunna be sad.. cuz they even got their color back.. after the humidifier was turned off and the fungus died. plants are a few inchs tall now with about 6 alternating pairs of leafs.. got their first 7 pointers yesterday.. and these babbies arent even 3 weeks yet!

Emegency man..plant about to die, brown shrunken dried leaves. What to do???
well i cut off right away as long as you can still have 50% or so of ur baby's leaves left.
as to ur misters....i dont recall if u mean the feeding mechanism?? U should always feed the roots. but if you mean foilar feeding...I would suggest not doing it if fungus is a problem...unless an emergency feeding is required
I hear these guys foilar feeding 5 times a day!!! They dont live in the desert where all the fungus is secretly waiting to explode as soon as water shows up...good luck man
