300mg isn't really very much unless you weigh 50 lbs. Dextromethorphan is a real drug; if you don't it is try taking 1770 mgs and see if you're not in another world. Just because it suppresses cough symptoms at low doses doesn't mean it isn't just as powerful at higher doses as any other psychedelic. Heroin was marketed as a cough suppressant back in the day - no one is calling it a "fake drug" now.

Good point, but don't freaking do 1770mg Minnesota.

Don't recommend things like that man. That's a fourth plateau dosage, and we don't even know if he's done it before.

I've done 250 and experienced a great buzz without any hallucinogenic effects. I was just severely stoned out of my mind, and I'm 175lbs. That was half a bottle of Vicks 44. Next time, I'm doing a full bottle.

Personally Id rather just eat up some shrooms and get a clean trip.

It should also be noted that there are in fact people who don't seem to get any real effects from dextromethorphan even at higher doses. Also, an enzyme in your liver (CYP2D6) metabolizes DXM to DXO, and both of these substances contribute to the effect (they affect different receptors in different ways). Some percent of the caucasian population (somewhere around 5-10%) don't have this particular enzyme, so a dose of DXM behaves differently in their body.

BobBong, it is obvious that you really don't know that much about dextromethorphan, so why don't you just keep your misinformed comments to yourself.

420mory, what happens if you don't have the enzyme is you're body cannot handle it and you have negative tolerance and can hurt yourself. I'm sure you know that, but your post could be read to mean that that situation would mean dextromethorphan wouldn't have any effect on you when, in fact, it is the other way around.

I think that this site serves great educational purposes and healthy discussions occur here where very valuable information is presented. It is the lack of knowledge that makes for bad decisions. This is like Whiteâ??s inner struggle about making the â??DXM FAQâ?� â?? of course it is going to serve as a guide for people who already want to do the drug, but it also will educate them enough so that they, say, donâ??t go off and buy the wrong kind of cough syrup and kill themselves. I think in the end having this information public saves lives.

IMO over the counter trips are dumb. There are sooo many safer and better options ie. shrooms, acid, morning glory, salvia......
