Just want to see what everybody's reading. I finished Vonnegut's Cat's Cradle yesterday. I'm also reading Deepak Chopra's The Book of Secrets, Mitch Albom's Tuesdays With Morrie, and Anthony Burgess' A Clockwork Orange. So, what's everyone been perusing lately?
I just finished reading Hearts of Darkness by Joseph Conrad. I read A [I]Clockwork Orange last year, very good.
Deepak Chopra's work is always interesting
im in love with margaret atwood. right now i am reading both 'the edible woman' and 'dancing girls and other short stories'

Just finished the Farseer Trilogy by Robin Hobb.. probably the most enjoyable fantasy series I've ever read.
It's taking me a while to get through the Chopra. I'm just taking my time but it is amazing. A lot of people have reccommended "the edible woman"... How does it read? I'm a fan of pretty eccentric writers so I find myself reading a LOT of Tom Robbins and fairly similar authors. Ahhh...:stoned:

Just started "The Unabriged Mark Twain"
It's a gicantic book with about a third of every thing Mark Twain ever wrote in it. Including four or five novels and many many short stories.
Mark Twain is the shit.

I'm reading She Got Up Off the Couch by Haven Kimmel, a memoir that's a sequel to her first one, Zippy: Growing Up Small in Mooreland, Indiana. In her first book, the author's mom sat on the couch, reading books and eating too much, practically through her whole early childhood. In the second book, she tells more funny stories about her family, including how her mom got up and went back to college and lost a bunch of weight. They're both really funny, sweet books.
Anything by Andy McNab. Aggressor was shite, Last Light was the best.
