BAGHDAD, Iraq â?? An Iraqi tennis coach and two of his players were killed because they were wearing shorts, apparently in violation of a warning by Islamic extremists.

Gunmen stopped the car in which the athletes were riding and asked them to step out before shooting them Wednesday, Manham Kubba, secretary general of the Iraqi Tennis Union, said Saturday. The coach, Hussein Ahmed Rashid, was Sunni, and the two players were Shiite, Kubba said.

The athletes were in shorts when they were killed and police believe the attack was related to a warning by extremists against such attire, police Lt. Maitham Abdul Razzaq said. He said the warning was made in leaflets distributed in the Sadiyah neighborhood in southwest Baghdad a week before the attack.

What ever happened to the good ol days when we just killed people because of the color of their skin? or for their resources? gee whiz. What ever happened to creating poverty around the globe and starving innocent children and families with our policies? Gee what ever happend to testing drugs on our unsuspecting soliders? I doubt the US soldiers would take martial law that far. I'm sure they would kill some of their own people, but not for wearing shorts. Maybe for causing other crimes like rape or something in the chaos. And I seriously doubt they would kill them for possesion. They would prolly just ask. These are just regular soldiers. If there was a draft, anyone of you can be one of them. And by the way, I think there would be a court marshal if they went and killed someone because of their shorts.

No, no! You've not offended me at all. And you're never atacked someone. In fact, you're quite well mannered and articulate, which is a lot more than I can say for many others. I just have at times regarded your views on things as rather extreme. Particularly on the 9/11 matter. I understand and have read your facts, but I just can't agree on on that having been an inside job.
