hey guys whats up. ive been thinking and not that i plan on having kids anytime soon but i was wondering about whether or not ill let my kids smoke. i think i probably will. ill talk to them about using responsibly and trying to stay away from other drugs, but i tihnk once there about 17 ill allow them to have the wonderful experience of smoking pot. hell, i might even smoke with them.
what are you all's perspectives on this? what do you think youll do?
Yeah, I would let them smoke it..I wouldnt say no to anything my kid whats to do unless he's putting both of us at risk or if they didnt even know the point of why they wanna do what they do..I dont want my kids to be some fuckin trend whores lol, if they smoke marijuana even if they lie they are gonna have to tell me why and if they say "because my friends do" then the answers no..I wouldnt let them grow though because if I have to go to prison I want it to be my fault..I would hate to go to prison for something I had nothing to do with :p.
Jamaicans give weed to thier children to help them concentrate at school. I wouldn't give it to them, but if they got it thierselves, it wouldn't bother me. At least it's not going to kill them like cigs or crack or somethings.
if they are going to smoke weed they may be doing it befor 17... and i wouldn't smoke with them befor 18 or 21 because of the laws concerning minors...
I'd definatly let my kids smoke weed, even as young as 15.
I'd much rather have them getting high and enjoying themselves on a harmless plant than drinking themselves into a coma, and even dieing.
i would do it, but they have to be 16...so they can truely make the adult decision it is...and i would educate them about both the good parts, and bad parts, about drugs...not only pot, but mushies n salvia n peyote n et cetera
I know you would because I'm 15 and I do it and I dont care what anyone says lol. Also if you really think about it you can tell your kids they can have this and that but if you plan on your kids having a future they're gonna have to go to school which has people in there that are raised on a different foundation and eventually if they are looking for a certain something they'll find it and try it anyways :).Quote:

A. If my wife approved
B. If I'm able to let them do it responsibly and in a controlled state.
Of course I would, but theres some important things to consider:
First off, I hope we all realize what a large majority of stoners/hippies/potheads existed in our parents generation. Meaning, there is an extremely good possibility that your father smoked more than you do, as well as did more coke and acid than you ever dreamed..
Second, I imagine having a wife who is going to be against our child smoking marijuana. Since if you ever asked around, way more women would vote against their child smoking, while many men would be fine with it. Once you understand the power women have on us, you can understand why most fathers must go along with the wifes consensus on the issue.
So while I can see myself not caring about my son smoking, something tells me that I will become like all fathers and pretent to care about it, but really just do it so he understands the importance of the aspect of "not getting caught".
i would tell my kids not to smoke weed and promote that until there 16 or 17 then ill smoke with them and explain everthings i started way to eliry
ill let my kids smoke...do just like my dad did me...if i suspect they are smoking ill act like i find some weed..ask if its his/hers...after they answer ill say "you wanna smoke some" an then have a long talk about being responsible an not getting into situations that are easily avoided

I would let my kids smoke, why not? Only when they are 17 or 18. I tell them i will get it for them for the first time, and not to smoke anything of lesser quality than what i give them. That way they will always be get ting a good quality high and no fucking headaches.

Yes, I would let my childern smoke with me. I believe that it helps strengthen a relationship cause then your child feels more relaxed around you and feels better about expressing themselves. When I was growing up a friend of mine and his dad toked up together and they got along extremely well. The only time I would stop letting my child smoke is if I saw that it was affecting their grades or life in a significant way.

i would, but only if they have started it form another place rather then my own, and they would have to be a reasonable age to let them. like i say 15+.
i would love to smoke with my kid(If i ever get any in the future) because i would hope he could get a job and supply me with some :) LoL
the hard part is convincing them not to do it until they are like 17/18 and then all the sudden their father/mother is like "hey lets toke up"
i would tell them as a small child for why we celebrate christmas....

yea id let mine(if im gonna have any) smoke that after they are 18+...id even fog it out with them...id tell them to stick to the greens...and if they start taking any chemicals or any other shit thats not natural...then oh boi...that ass gonna get whooped...:stoned:

Yeah, once they were 16. I think I'd probably offer them a joint, if I was smoking it and see whether they were interested. If they were I'd certainly share my stuff with them, same as I'd share with a mate who came over. I'd explain about marijuana to them before they were 16 though, so they could make an informed decsion.
I don't konw. I've been thinking about this a lot, and I think that I would let me kids smoke, only after they're 16, and only if they keep their GPA at least a B or B+. If their GPA dropped, I'd definitely crack down and make sure they didn't smoke or drink or do anything until it was back up again.
I want to be a cool dad, but I want to be a good dad, and I want to make sure that the kids I have don't turn out like me, ya know? I'm only 18, but I already know I don't want them to be like me.

Of course I will let my kids smoke, otherwise I'd be a major hypocrite. And I hate hypocrites. I will wait until I find their stash(bound to happen) or until I have the talk with them about drugs and such. If they want to smoke, I will let them. Hell I will smoke with them, as I would rather be with my kids smoking then them off somewhere without me knowing they are smoking. Then they can hook me up with some bud. haha
Rules of the house: Don't come home until you have some bud for your pops! Then we will smoke all night and have a blast. Some good bonding right there.
I wouldn't want my kids smoking at all until they finish highschool, or maybe their senior year. Every kid I know that started smoking early is a loser now, and isn't doing anything with their life.
First off, they wouldn't be able to drive at 16 because I'm in the UK, you dumbass. Secondly why pick on my post, out of all the others who've said the same thing?
