I wonder if this is the right forum to be asking on. Actually, I hear playing chess stoned is really interesting.

playing chess stoned just makes it more creative, while at the same time making it more difficult to think ahead, its a give/take situation.

Well, the whole thinking ahead thing is the reason I don't like playing. I hear though that the patterns of the game become easier to see the more you play, so you don't have to think as much and it's more intuitive.

My problem is I usually can't get into feeling competitive. It just ends up seeming pointless to me.

Its just a battle of wits, no more no less

been hooked on chess since bobby was the king. i play on msnzone.com. i play about 5 to 25 games a week. uscf1800 but as long as ive been playing my rating should be a lot higher........i play as the TRAUMATIZER.....
