jobs where you shouldn't smoke up?

So , simply put, are there jobs where you shouldn't smoke up at all?

Flight instructor
Airline/corporate/cargo pilot
Bus driver
18-wheeler driver

Of course, any intelligent person wouldn't perform duties as any of the above when stoned or under the influence in any way. Nonetheless, its most likely a moot point as to whether he/she has smoked weed recently or not..especially since random drug testing is part of the job.

Should he/she refrain from smoking entirely?

If you are responsible for the lives of others, should you not smoke? Even though it has no impact on safety? (ie. smoking weed the night before an instructional flight lesson probably has less negative impact than getting drunk -- and there's an 8 hour rule for drinking).

a job i wouldnt smoke up at is hmm... i`ll say working at a dmv? i dunno

i know a job i would toke up at.. or an event.. at the anti marijuana campaign..

I'd say a lifeguard, bus/taxi driver... anything where your actions of smoking can effect other people in a negative way. That's just irresponsible and gives stoners everywhere a bad name. So don't do it. Please.

I stay high in work, I do accounts

Telemarketing. Did that once (worked for StayShite Windows of all people...) and I went in baked. Just ended up babbling to the customers about random crap, like music and what was happening in EastEnders.

stoned and telemarketing go hand in hand. here in missouri we have tons of call centers, thanks to our central time zone and relatively neutral accents. If you can call people all day long and say the same bullshit without being high, mad props to you

Haha, I could aswell - and I actually got an average of 2 leads per 3-hour shift, when everyone else was on 2 leads a week. A lead is where someone agrees to let you come round to give them a quote BTW.
It did get boring after a while, and I kept going outside for a ciggy all the damn time. They bitched at me for that, but I said to them that theyre not gonna fire me because 'Im too valuable to the company - you fire me, and your boss comes down on your ass because were not getting any leads'. Yeah, kinda cheeky, but I was fed up with that job. They even made us stay behind for half an hour once because no-one (well, I got one that shift) got any leads. I told them to go fuck themselves and walked out. Never gone back since.

P.S. If some stoner surgeon works on me, I want him high as hell!

I imagine there are some jobs that people are better at when they are stoned so the boss shouldnt complain :D :smokin:

that's stupid, most companies are evil

I know I had a hella time trying to sell anything over the phone when I used to smoke up. I'd forget to ask them about a product or wouldn't question them any further. I know the higher ups were glad to get me out of that call center.

I have always gotten high at work no matter what job I had:

I sold cars for a few years and I loved to do it stoned. My walk around presentations were always sharper and the closing, oh the closing was the best part. Head to head with the customer was a blast and it is easier to close deals because your relaxed and it makes negotiations go smoother.

Also, have done mortgage loans over the telephone. Did it high and it does help with the amount of rejection you deal with on a daily basis. In a business like that you have to be alot more self motivated and the rejection holds you back. Not in a way were you feel scared. Your just tired of dialing and hearing NO. So you get stoned, then all you wanna do is play video games on the computer. It is a double edge sword.

I had a friend who worked at .. ah..shall we say "a type of fruit" computer company ;) . If you ever met this guy you'd think he was a hard core speed freak because his mind just raced and he just couldn't sit still. That's just his normal state though. Anyhow, his boss would send him out to get stoned just so he'd come down to a level somewhat compatible with everybody else. Even totally baked he was twice as productive as anyone else. A brilliant guy with computers. Wouldn't want him doing brain surgery on me though.

i am suprised nobody said a petrol station!, i had a plan once to dance around a petrol station with a jerry can full of water, and pour it everywhere screaming, then get out matches and pretend to light the fake petrol. Then i realise that was a really stupid thing to do.

that would be sooo funny

i wouldn't smoke if i was a contact lens model
or a white teeth model
or an olympic runner
or a bomb technician

i would smoke if i was a cab driver or a lifeguard at a pool (not the beach) because i'd feel soo good about rescuing a little kid from drowning!

I work at a gas station (in Oregon, we are not allowed to pump our own gas), and the only way any of the people there can manage to not die of boredom is to be really blazed.

Jobs not to smoke at:
Surgeon, Pilot, SCUBA Diver, Quarter Back.
