My mom watches it every week. So, inevitably, I hear it every week even if I don't watch it every week.
I thought Kat was excellent this week. (I didn't like her last week; I thought she or Elliot should have lost, not Chris.) Her performance of "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" rendered me speechless. I voted for Taylor this week though. All of his performances were excellent too. And he got Paula to get up and dance with him to "Dancing in the Dark"! Hahaha.
I think Elliot's time is up.

I thought Katherine did great, but Taylor is still my favorite, and I thought that Joe Cocker tune he did last night was fantastic! I never did like Elliott, so I think/hope he's gone, lol.

dialidol.com says Elliot is leaving tonight. I've watched sporadically this season. Usually I just skip to the end of the award show on my DVR to see who is still in the game. I watched last night though and voted for Elliott simply because he has a better voice than Taylor. People are in love with Taylor's whatever-the-fuck-it-is but if he is indeed one of the final two he will undoubtedly lose as he canā??t hack it when it comes to the actual task. Katharine was good but the Somewhere Over the Rainbow left something to be desired. I just didn't enjoy the arrangement and felt the praise for the ornamentation by the judges was obligatory. I would rather have heard the standard Judy Garland from her, simple.
I don't really care at this point. Any talent was shaved off many rounds ago in America's quest for that perfect crystal clear voice we've been listening to for the last 50 years. b-o-r-i-n-g.

im an AI junkie, watched the first season and this one though, the others fuck that
elliot had been my fav for awhile, so im sad to see him go. it sucks to see taylor go past paris, chris, and now elliott, which all of them are much more talented singers. taylors a really good singer, but c'mon, soul patrol aint that good. katherine has been one of my other picks to win, she has a beautiful voice, but she oversings sometimes, like in the somewhere over the rainbow. but she does have what it takes to be the winner, so i hope she does win.

American Idol is one of the largest symbols of the shit society is becoming. I couldn't disagree more, MrDevious. This show is full of talented people trying to reach their full potential. The show can be very uplifting, and it brings families together. In my family for instance, we gather 'round every Tuesday and laugh and critique each performance. It is a nice way to escape from the harsh realities of school and work and have a little leisure time. I really don't understand how this show has falsely placed importance. I love the show, but my world doesn't revolve around it, nor do I look up to the contestants on the show. All the show does is entertain a large number of people, and I don't get why you have a problem with that. And besides, it's fun to skank around the house to Taylor.
That's why I don't listen to rap. It's not the words that I listen to, just the melody. And, most of the time, what people say goes in one ear and out the other, anyway.Quote:

i am good friends with one of the top ten contestants and i can say that we have burned many a doobie together. i was in a band with his brother for a little while. he's gone but you can hear him on the CD and catch him when he comes to your town. he is not from the northeast, texas, california or rocky mountain country. rock on!
