Hey, I'm pretty new to smoking, probably been doing it now for.. 3 weeks. Anyway, Im going to get £40 of bud on Tuesday and I have no idea what to expect! So basically could anyone please give me a rough idea so I don't get ripped off? A picture would be great, but if thats not possible just compare the size to something.
The bud isn't any purple haze stuff, just regular bud... normal quality.

Hash or skunk?
if its skunk it should be a quarter (quarter of an oz) 14 grams.
if you say to a dealer '40quids worth of weed' they most likely will rip you off because you ask for the weight, and they tell you how much they do it for.
its skunk, and I cant really bring a scale to school with me to weight it, thanks for the info but thats not possible, can you compare it to something in size? Picture woiuld be best I know its hard to describe the size of a bag of bud.

(btw if you just started smoking, how much does it take you to get stoned / how many times have you bought weed before, and can you skin up)
Just for the record if its a dealer at your school why dont you just bring the scales in just do it at breaktime somewhere. If its weighed on he wont have a problem letting you weight it.

When you weigh the weed take it out of the bag aswell because the baggie weighs 0.2 or something but depends on the size.
For £40 of skunk you should be able to easily fill 2 small "drug bags" or whatever their technical name is.

Depends how much you put into a joint, blunt or bowl doesnt it, ive put an eigth an a blunt before and i put half an eigth 1.75g. so it depends but just make sure it weighs more than 14.5 around that because of the weight of the bag
When I restarted smoking weed a few months ago, I could get about 12 spliffs out of a 16th, but they were pretty phat bags anyway. And I was the most fucked I've ever been on so little weed.
Now I know I can smoke an eighth all in one go and not feel many effects.
I strongly believe a quarter is way too much for a first-timer. You don't want to end up like me.

It used to take me 1 joint to get properly blazed for about 4 hours :P however, I just bought 1/2 oz of hash and smoked it in 1 weeks pretty much every day, so to get any real effect from it, I need to use my homemade bong.
No I can't skin up at all, I dont even try anymore, I roll a joint and it take a strong toke.. it burns down 1 side and wastes half of the joint.
I have bought weed 3 times in total.. 1/10 of green, 1/8 of hash and 1/2 of hash.
If anyone can still find a picture of £40 of bud, or 1/4 plz post it, I've been searching everywhere but can't find any.. seems the people who post pictures on this forum post large amounts of weed rather than avergae sized amounts.
as to your joint side-ing, elvis-ing, or whatever you call it going to one side thats because the tobacco burns faster than the weed and its not properly mixed in the joint theres just tobacco on one side and weed on the other, when you skin up take your time to best way to do it is put a bit of tobbaco then weed, tobbaco then weed etc...
Dont worry you will learn how to skin up properly in about a month thats all it takes
ah... I was wondering about that, see when I roll a joint I break up my weed and put it in then put the baccy on top, now I realise the error of my ways.. thing is, I still don't having a fucking clue how to roll, basically I put my stuff in, roll it so it takes shape and the weed mixes into the baccy then I just fold it :P I cant roll it properly.
What skins do you use?
Green pack of Rizla's.. I live out in the sticks, so I really can't get much else, Im just lucky that my parents own a restaurant so I have a lot of access to Rizla's and baccy.

thanks for that man, been looking through some rolling guides on the net, but none of them gave as many detailed pictures as that, I can't get rolling baccy easily, I can get normal baccy from brand fags though.. and I don't mind the taste so I hope that will be ok... rolling a J is definetly the easiest thing for me to do, my parents are anti smoking.. anti drugs totally so taking a bong down the river where I walk my dog is a bit of a risk incase they see me.

Bear in mind weed is measured by weight only, and is incredibly hard to judge by sight alone. Because some weed is really compressed hard.

Either someone is telling porkies or it was soap. Im guessin soap cos its difficult to get good hash in UK. Infact, unless its made by someone you know in UK, you cant get it. It's all soap.
Nah man Im not lying, I don't lie, I went through £30 of hash, the bar was about the zise of say.. half a bar of average soap, I was pretty much stoned for the whole week and by the end of the week I would have a rip from my bong and wouldn't feel a thing.. so I decided to throw the very small amount of hash I had left away so when I smoke my joint on tuesday I will get a nice buzz.

Well, whatever the prob is with a joint burning down one side I have come up with a solution! If I take small to average sized tokes it dosen't happen, I have a habbit of taking huge tokes, guess I will change my method :)
Oh yeah, I told my mate I have trouble rolling and he is gonna make me 4 supersized chocolate and vanilla blunts.. goodie! it's gonna be a hella weekend :P
