Now, my friend is very anti-pot, declaring indecent "facts" about it, and one of them is that Jimi Hendrix died on pot, at the age of 24.
Now, doese anyone know what he really died on? Any links?

Some more "facts":

-Nicotine is not a substance within the tobacco plant, its a substance that is born when something is being burned, wheter that is tobacco, weed, wood, normal grass or(i think he claimed this too:) plastic. Or anything else.

-Smoking weed will get you more addicted than smoking tobacco, because they are both physically addictive, and weed also gives a high which makes you desire more of it.

-The tobacco corporations dont add anything to tobacco that isnt naturally there.

-Weed causes lung cancer as much as tobacco

-Tobacco is not radioactive; they use radioactivity to clone the tobacco plants, so they grow faster or something. That means that the host plant is radioactive, and all the other ones are not.

Now...I have smoked only 4 times. Yes, i know, pathetic amount. He has inhaled 1 or 2 times some weed that was so shitty (mine, and i dont count this on those four times) it did not give me any effect. And yes, i was smoking it right.

Feel free to correct if there is anything bizarre or suspicious in there.

And yeah, i know, this is not recreational, this is medical etc...but i thought this would be noticed better this way.

wikipedia isn't a factual source, it's comprised by people and it doesn't even give information about his death. I made no statement on what I thought, just posted a video that I found... perhaps you shouldn't be so willing to defend what you believe without finding out why you believe it...

Also, I'm assuming you stopped at that sentence you highlighted, because it gives three different opinions on what happened. It's writted by people, but many people are satisfied with the belief that he drowned in his own vomit. I might be more inclined to believe this because a similar incident happened to a friend of mine. That's why I believe.

I'm not discaliming the Wikipedia statement, I just don't find it as a good source for factual information yet... it is still too new and too much false information is still on there... But that is another point.

I still don't know I don't trust the govenrment enough to believe they could have killed him, but I do know Hendrix did a lot of drugs and abused his body.

No, it's cool I get it. There's a lot of bad info on wikipedia, especially on these subjects. I would believe the goverment killed him, but that means that I have to believe the government is competent and good at keeping secrets.

I think the hardest part for me is believing that the man kep acid under his eyes yet died cause of some pills and wine... I think I want him to die for a bigger reason is all... I think that's why a lot of conspiricy come about. People want to think he died for a greater purpose.

I don't think the govenrment is that bad at lying though... this one is, but remember Kennedy died and people still think it was only one shooter. The video shows 5 people too, that is what made it a bit more convincing. We'll see though, and perhaps it's better not knowing... that way we remember what he did when he was alive rather than the instance which he stopped living.

the truth is that jimi died from an overdose of sleeping pills, he was used to taking a handful of them when he was on tour so that he could get some rest, sleeping was hard for him because of other drugs he was doing such as speed, anyways he took a handful of a rather potent brand of sleeping pills from germany and later choked on his own vomit... sufficating him

Some time after, Hendrix took at least eight, possibly nine of the same tablets. Monika woke around 10.20. Hendrix was sleeping normally. She had planned to go out for cigarettes but just before leaving, she noticed vomit on Jimi's nose and mouth. She tried to wake him but couldn't and called a friend to ask what to do. An ambulance was called. It arrived about 11.20 a.m. Hendrix was seated upright in the back with no head support. Sometime in the next twenty-five minutes before they arrived at St. Mary Abbot's Hospital, Jimi Hendrix choked on his own vomit. He was pronounced D.O.A. The pathologist reported a large amount of Seconol in Jimi's blood but no reason to assume that suicide was the cause of death. The cause of death noted on the coroner's report was inhalation of vomit after barbiturate intoxication.

In 1993, the investigation into Hendrix's death was reopened by Scotland Yard, but when no new evidence was unearthed, the matter was dropped.

It can be "psychologically" addictive which means that one can convince themselves that they need it to become normal. The thing is, any subastance can be psycholically addictive; caffeine, sugar, pizza, whatever.

and the lp that he was working on when he died would have been called "first rays of the new rising sun" had he lived to see its completion. The tracks were split up over a few lps over the early 70s including "cry of love"(1971)"rainbow bridge"(1971)"war heroes"(1972) and "loose ends" (1973). with the exception of "my friend" on the "first rays" cd, which was recorded in 1968 during the electric ladyland sessions, its a pretty close interpretation. although there were some tunes that jimi had worked with but not recorded like "locomotion" and "this little boy".....
and plus dont forget all of the interesting writings in the "black gold" book; he was on the verge of making probably 6 records in three years. had he lived i think "first rays" would have been released; then there would have been a huge tour; and then a blues record followed by a jam with miles davis
(jimi had talked to miles before about a collaberation; they were billed at the isle of wight festival on the same night-)

Marijuana is a psychologically addictive substance. Everything is a psychologically addictive substance. Tobacco is a physically addictive substance.

Actually, cigarettes contain "Acetone, Aluminium, Ammonia, Arsenic, Benzene, Butane, Cadmium, Caffeine, Carbon monoxide, Carbon dioxide, Chloroform, Copper, Cyanide/Hydrogen cyanide, DDT/Dieldrin, Ethenol, Formaldehyde, Lead, Magnesium, Methane, Methanol, Mercury, Nicotine, Polonium, Tar, Vinyl Chloride, and Potassium nitrate." The only one of the aforementioned chemicals that doesn't normally exist in tobacco was, as I said, nicotine.

Hendrix was abusing barbiturates so badly in New York's The Scene, (aka Steve Paul's Scene), a club that held after-hour jam sessions, that he often had to be carried out at closing time.

Regarding politics, was not particularly radical. To the dismay of most of his musical (and other) protégés, Hendirx was hawkish regarding the Vietnam War long after most were calling for an end to American involvement. He eventually changed his mind about it, as did many other people.

P.S. The tobacco companies use Polonium (sp), a radioactive substance, in the soil that tobacco grows in. Polonium is not considered harmful to grow food with, but smoking is a different story. They've been doing this since the 1930's, and the rise in smoking-related lung cancer started rising dramatically since.

An ex-girlfriend of Jimi's (Kathy Etchingham) and another guy, started an investigation in the late 90's, to look into his death. This is because the woman (Monika Denneman) who claimed to be there with Jimi, and ride with him to the hospital, had committed suicide a week before she was supposed to go on trial and tell the truth about his death.

They discovered that the English Official Inquiry into Hendrix's death had accepted Monika Denneman's story fully, and claimed the death as "Inhalation of vomit due to barbituate overdose." They found out that on the inquest of September 28, 1970, the emergency medical team was never interviewed.

The two ambulance men, who arrived at the flat where Jimi was staying, said that when they arrived, "Jimi was fully clothed, and alone." They determined that he had been dead for several hours.

They brought him to the hospital (no one rode with them), the emergency room doctor pronounced him dead, and they found massive amounts of wine in his lungs. You can't drink wine into your lungs.

Sparing you the details, Jimi Hendrix was, either, held down and wine was forced down his throat or his head was forced into a sinkful of wine, and held there.
