do tend to got some bug problems ranging from spider mites to caterpillars to these small maggot like things that were eatin through my leaves an leavin lines all over them one year, picked the caterpillars out my buds with a cocktail stick, nipped the leaves at the end of the wee trail an removed the maggot like thingys an for the spider mites i used a bug spray for fruiting plants , not s`posed to spray any more than 3 times though, the earlier caught the better
thankz for that so would it be worth me spraying them now when there young so they wont catch any bugs later on in there life?
i spray mine if i see an infestation, but not otherwise. when they are young, i soround the area with snail pellets as they are all over the place. i went outside this morning and found 12 dead snails around my plant
have u seen any green little bugs on your plan t laefs im not sure if there gonna cause a problem at all but on one plant one what set of leaves theres 2 holes in the leave which maybe caaused by these green bugs.
hyave any idea what insect this is and its gonna cause a damage to my other plants.
ye, ive just had them, theyre green flies. they do damage the plants if their young, I sprayed mine yesterday with a general insecticide
are u sure they dont do anything because 2 of my plants have little holes in there leaves which i think is jue to the green flys which my friend tells me are aphids.
any way i can get rid of them or make them leave thankz :rasta:
yes, i said they do damage young plants, thats why I sprayed mine
oh sorry to high thankz though.
what will happen if i dont spray will they still survive or die?
soz i took a while, I was away. They could die, in general bug problems just escalate if you leave them, it depends. If I were you I would definately spray them
Well don't bloody well spray them with poison, ya fucken fools!!
A bit of soapy water, sprayed. Washing up liquid (for dishes) works fine.
No poisons.
Hunt out those fucken bugs. Look under the leaves of other plants around. Look around the ground.
Can you build a little plastic-sheet tent around them until the bugs go somewhere else?
But don't use insecticide on a plant you intend to smoke.
Insecti-cide
Infanti-cide
Homi-cide
Sui-cide.
Dig?
thankz all i kind of scared to spray with soupy water are u sure it wont effect the plants health.
is it there a easier way ?
I wouldn't like to spray my plants with insecticide. You can use soapy water or i think you can make sprays out of garlic and tabaco. There sould me some recipies on the forum somewhere.
ive had big problems growing outside with bugs and birds. i went on holiday to southafrica and brought some seeds back with me. of the 14 that sprouted 11 were eaten by birds:mad:   i now have covered them with bird netting. The bugs have been eating at the leaves so ive been spraying with some insecticide that shouldnt harm the plants but i dont want to spray them too much, and the new leaves that are apearing havent been sprayed and the bugs are attacking. what to do?
what tye of soup should i use and how much should i add to a litre and how should i apply thankz all for the great help very appreiciated

Insectices are made to kill bugs. Simple as that. A soapy water spray will do the trick in some cases. In other cases more drastic measures may be needed. If you find that your infestions is from ground dwelling bugs, then a nice spray of beneficial nematodes will do the trick. Getting bugs on your leaves or plants? Then maybe purchasing and releasing ladybugs and praying mantises will help. Birds attacking your crop? Adopt a couple of cats from an animal shelter ;)Quote:

I say that as I just sat down and ate almost an entire box of Keebler Chocolate Wafers. :o
Good luck, though. Organic farming, regardless of what you're growing, can be so very rewarding. And so damn frustrating at the same time. :)
