Vacation to Alaska

Only on a forum about weed could you have young people talkin about a vacation to alaska.

I'm gonna drive from AZ to AK one of these days, I already got my passport, I'm gonna save up some money and just drive all the way there making stops at Vancouver and a few other blaces in B.C.


Anyone wanna join me?


The grand finale is going to be in AK where i will buy a QP of weed walk out onto the street with it and roll up a fat joint, then proceed to walk around the whole city doing that same thing at every bench and bus stop.

Why go all the way out there? Just take a quick trip over to Denver.

im down for alaska. its legal STATEWIDE tehre
verses colorado where even in denver they will arrest you

Technically couldn't they arrest you on Federal laws in Alaska? Since like you said state laws trump city laws (Denver), so I'd assume Federal laws trump state... but I really don't know much about it so maybe not.

its basicly lax to the point where only a federal agent is gonna bust you. Alaska lacks many of them.

any state law is a blow to federal law. essentially drugs shouldnt even be a federal law. It became that way int eh 70's when lots of states legalized it.

besidses in denver the limit is 1 oz but in AK 4 oz and 24 plants are perfectly legal AND protected under the AK constitution.



Plus if i go to AK I get to go to canada which ive always wanted to do.




So wtf, nobody is down for a spontaneous road trip? Imagine if we had a caravan of us stoners, when we're driving through canada we'd be leaving a giant trail of smoke behind us. hahah 6 cars all smoking as they're flyin down the highway, heh awesome.

if i went to alaska, i wouldnt even smoke 'much' grass...too many sited to see to have it while you cannot stop laughin

Drive down to L.A. and take the 5 all the way up to Canada. If you take that route, I'm down.

alaskas my favorite state...so beutiful..plus i like cold better than heat and weed is legal!

i really like this idea, because nobody has to be worried about piggies because where were goin its all fine a legal.


wow im in a really bad mood right now though, i haven't eaten all day and my stomach STILL hurts like a bitch. well, im gonna eat and maybe i'll think of some ideas, like how we could organize a nice stoner migration to alaska for like a week.

it would have to be at the end of summer though. in about 6 weeks, is anyone down for doing this in july? like july 15-july 29th

1st off, you don't need a passport for canada. a driver's license and another photo id is enough but a birth certificate isn't a bad idea to bring along for re-entry back into the states. 2nd, you won't be allowed to get just as fucked up as you want in public. there are still public intoxication and decency laws to contend with there (and everywhere else it has been decrimmed or legalized for med use). i have a nevada med license yet it still doesn't give me the right to smoke in public...then there are the dui laws to think about too.
no, making a scene of doing anything controversial just because it's technically legal usually causes more probs than what it's worth.

Don't worry del..., as much as i can possibly smoke still isnt that much for me. Maybe I'll toke up at a coffee shop if they have those in AK, I know they have a few in Vancouver.

You guys have fun on your trip and send me some pics please. I know the deal with Denver but for me an oz. o.k. with me. Oh, and I did not know that you could grow 24 plants in AK. Thanks for that valuable info. It feels good to learn something new everyday. Maybe I would be down for a trip there if you felt like driving down to the SE.

according to my bud visiting down here from nome over the winter, it must be kept in your homes and is not generally seen or done in public. bars and smoke shops don't allow it either and he says there are no such coffee shops there either. so it sounds like they're trying to keep it low-key and not make such a big deal out of it so that it brings attention.

and vancouver still has blunt brothers...then there's the sativa sisters awesome bed and breakfast that's worth a trip by itself! drop by and pick me up while you're at it! a little coolness sounds pretty damn nice now that i'm thinking about another summer in the desert...it's already broken the 90's!

Ok, why doesn't everyone just post where they live if you want to come, that way i can make a map and figure out a route to take, then I'll post it.

Maybe this should just be a Vancouver trip. That will make it shorter and thats good cause driving to alaska is gonna be fucking long!

yea, its not leagle to have 24 plants at all... your only alowed to have 4 ozs or less in the privacy of your own home, your not alowed to transport, sell or grow, nor are u alowed to smoke in public plasces.

i did read, and i'm not so sure you should rely on one source.
marijuanna laws changed significantly many years ago.
when i lived there from '94-'97, i can't say that it was "VERY socially acceptable. It is very common to be offered marijuana at parks and other local places.".
that was not my experience.

i think this is a serious exaggeration.
i'm not saying don't go; Alaska rocks! the herb is great! go! visit!
just check a few more sources on laws/culture first.

well, whatever. scratch alaska, the more i think about it the more i know that it would be really impractical to drive from AZ to alaska.

fuck practicality! live life and enjoy it! besides! you gotta take me to AK! :O
