looks sweet to me  GO for it :smokin:
I actually just posted on another thread.
http://boards.cannabis.com/showthrea...hlight=turnkey
My friend recently picked up a Medium which is pretty kick ass. If I remember right it came with a 1000 watt air cooled HPS, a built in co2 system, and an aeroponics hydro system with an ultrasonic fogger! I haven't seen anything else this advanced, but it's out of my price range :(
The aeroponics system certainly beats the hell out of the lame drip systems on other pre-built boxes i've looked at!
My buddies ladies are looking happy in it! Not to mention about 2 dozen clones!!
The build quality is really good, and the customer service kicks ass. I've called in a few times at all hours of the morning to ask questions, and the staff has always been professional and very useful. Even before I purchased a Mini for myself, they spent over an hour explaining the different features in depth.
FYI: They built and shipped the Mini within a few days of ordering it. I picked up the phone one morning and it was the freight company calling to schedule a delivery! I was like holly shit. I thought it would take 3-4 weeks! So, I am pretty happy w/ my Mini and I am saving up for a Medium to grow really large ladies! I'm totally stoaked to say the least...

if you look closely that's the exact same cabinet, i used to build my grow box,(also for six plants) also the dimensions are almost identical, look at my threadhttp://boards.cannabis.com/showthread.php?t=59922
don't pay that ridicuolus price (sale 875.00, normal price999.00)
that's bullshit i built mine for less than 300.00 canadian and it's better than that piece of shit.

look familiar anyone?
i've also built small rubbermaid DWC units in witch you can put 6 plants, for a cost of 40$.( 1. dual outlet pump=15$, small ruberrmaid storage container=5$,
2 12 inch airstones=10$, 6 two inch netpots=6$, 3ft of tubbing=2.99$)
and you got yourself a easy to use small hydroponic system for under 50$, if you are really concerned about stealth spend a few extra bucks on a whisper air dual outlet pump witch runs almost silent, compared to my 15$ petcetera pump.
Sorry, but that unit doesn't look anywhere close to as professional as the manufacturerd units. Plus, if you add up all the time, labor and parts, plus buying all the tools, how much money are you really saving? You still don't end up with a better unit, and it doesn't really cost that much less. Tools are expensive! It adds up, trust me....
OK, It's obvious from BobMarley5190 posts that he's promoting these units, and he's using the "not so subtle" testimonial approach to build demand.Quote:

The unit does not look anywhere close to as professional as the manufactured units??? the box that i've seen is as basic as it comes,
professionaly manufactured? you say? i lined my box with mylar, they did not, witch makes it not light proof with significant light leaks, take almost any polypropolene plastic no matter what color and shine a light through it, the light will penatrate it,unless it's a quater inch thick!.The plastic cabinet they use is the exact same cabinet listed at canadian tire for 79.99$ witch is in no way light proof, unless they put on some sort of light proof paint, that i dont see in the picture provided, all i see is untouched plastic just the way it came out of the box, how the hell can you call that proffesional manufacturing, i did alot of research on stealth grow boxes before i built mine, and the cabinet i see is nothing more than a 79.99$ plastic cabinet with a 175 w light, and a simple DWC fogger system and a simple ventilation system, whitch is not worth 900$ not even with labor, it would take an averege person 1 day or less to build something like this, as for my box, when i was building it, i was also desingning it, witch takes more time, the total hours of labor it took me to build my box was under 30 hours, plus when i was building it i was also moving out of my apartment witch restricted my build time every day, as for the tools, if you even glanced at my thread i clearly state that this box could be built by tools that everybody should have anyway, such as scissors, electrical tape, epoxy, exacto knife, some wood screws,a pair of pliers. and most importantly a brain. so after this if you still think that spending 900$ on a plastic box is fine. than thank god for people like you, that put money in my pocket.
Well said, Potman420, keep the shoddy opportunists away from unsuspecting Noobs...Quote:

However, I very seriously thought about building my own at first. I went to the hardware store, and started up adding up all the prices of the tools I needed, plus the little parts you don't think about like grounded junction boxes, ballasts, capicitors, ignitors, sockets, wireing, etc and it added up to well over $850. Hell, even the small parts like screws and brackets were like $5 each box!
The 400 watter alone was close to $400 with the reflector. Not to mention installing co2, which I have no idea how to do, and all the wireing and drilling that I am really not comfortable with. Especially with kids in the house...
So, when I saw a decent unit at an affordable price, I jumped on it. To receive the item fully built within days of ordering it was a godsend. There was no mess. Wood and plastic fragments everywhere. Just a solid professional unit ready to go.
And to answer your question, this unit does not leak light and runs extremely quiet. All you here is a buzz. I for one am stoaked, and think the unit looks great, and works better. My ladies are luving every minute of it...
One thing that I always worry about is exposed wireing and water + heat. Unlike the unit in the above photo, mine has no exposed wires to short, and runs extremely cool. Whatever fans they put in there look way more powerful than that little computer fan in yours. Plus mine also filters out smells...
So, I guess I probably could have done it myself cheaper, but it wouldn't have been THAT much cheaper and would have taken me weeks. Plus the tools I would never use again, and the mess didn't seem worth it to me.
But each their own. Your plants don't know the difference...
thanks a bunch mr. ADman.
dear bobmarley 5190, im really sorry to rain on your parade, but the fans you got in you cab are as cheap as it gets, for your main air in take all i see is a duct booster fan, my original plan was to use 3, 5 inch 75 cfm fans, i imediatly realized this was not enough and swithed to 2 125 cfm fans and kept 1, 75 cfm fan to blow air between my plants and my light, i dont see a osilating fan in the picture provided, it has more than enough power to keep my cab cool,it seem's you might have glanced at my thread but did not actually read it, all my electronics are situated at the top of the cab so i see no way of water getting up there unless you change the law's of gravity, all my wires were spliced and sealed cleanly, and both my ballasts were grounded to the metal mounting plate, and my cab has two carbon filtration units. one is in the exhaust fan, the other is a small trueair carbon filtered odor nutralizier, the total for my box, lights, fans, fillters, etc... was under 300$ canadian, considering i can get small used HID uints for free (70w 100w,150w) or nearly free $ from demo sites, you mentioned sockets, reflector, wires , the light's i get, have all that, and if not i just get the wire from a broken adapter or heavy duty wire from broken appliances, you dont need to spend that kind of money, so i see no way that your unit can be superiour to mine,
if you have the money to spend you can build a growing fortress for 900$, not some cheap plastic cab that doesn't even have a fan to blow air across the light, and how many lumens do you think you are getting with a 175w hps?, i added two cfls one on each side so now i can use my 70 mh and my flourecents to veg and add the hps in flowering, giving me a multilight spectrum, witch i see works much better than an hps alone.
everyone is entitled to their own opinion if you are happy paying 900$ for a cheap plastic box then fine, i'm just not as rich as you,
and i found a way to make a better product for alot less,
so anyway, good luck with your investment, and i hope everything works out for you.
I agree with Potman. I have looked all over on the net for a grow system that is economical but I think the same catch a newbie for more tactic is in use with all of them. I am buy no means rich but I just dont know how to build a grow box, I just might shell out the cash for one. I dont have experience with tools and really dont know much about mechanics, constructing etc. If anyone has a good guide out there for a grow box, throw it my way would ya?? Peace.
hey mt431z - try this thread... shows step by step, not exactly a stealth cabinet if thats what you are looking for, but i am sure you can go say 1/2 the dimensions if you want smaller
http://boards.cannabis.com/showthread.php?t=64943
i feel ya on buying something though, it seems so much easier but in reality its not, cuz you still have to put that together... keep us posted
I live in an apartment, really my only option would be to put a box like this in a closet. Do you think that box is to big to ventilate in a closet properly? I have done reading on cabinet grows in closets, this problem is prevelant in alot of these setups.
