Help, my blunts suck...

Aight whats good everyone.

I've rolled about 5 blunts in my lifetime, but the last one I rolled about 10 mins ago was so bad that I gotta do somethin about it...and fast.

Right now I'm usin swisher sweets, and splittin it then loading it is no problem, but after that, it all goes downhill. I get it all rolled up eventually, but when its time to smoke it, it burns down extremely fast, like someone usin a flamerower in a house full of pure wood fast. Prolly 65% of the blunt was wasted due it burning so fast.

I really need to know what I can do better rolling wise to help step my blunt rolling game up.

first of all no one i know splits blunts anymore
blunt-wraps are the shit[if you like blunts]
they stay moist and burn slow
i can smoke 1/8 or a lil less in 1 blunt
and get about 10 heads real stoned

i like dutchmasters and the occasional philly. you just need to keep practicing and develop your own style. trying to make them as tight as you can since the burning fast problem you hav is due to them being really loose.get the bud even across the blunt then start on one endand work your way across slowly making sure you keep it tight. dont worry about a lil spilled weed you can put that in after you roll it if you want

hey i was in your exact position like 3 months ago, but i had never rolled a blunt before... i thikn i'd start with a philly, it was really easy for me to roll that first banana philly..
i'm gonna give you a quickstart manual :-P
1. lick the entire cone end of the blunt (might as well just stick it in your mouth and slobber all over it like it's a blowpop)
2. You don't need to wet the rest of the blunt yet, instead just wet a strip from top to bottom so that you have a moist part of the blunt to split with your fingers or preferably with a knife or razor.
3. Gut it out
4. Now lick the entire rap, front and back, inside and out (trying to make sure that the leaf stays attached to the blunt paper)
5. Remove the cancer paper (it's on the cone end of the blunt, between the blunt paper and the leaf, it's usually a darker brown color)
6. lay the paper on a flat surface and make sure it's still pretty wet and the leaf isn't falling off
7. Fold one end of the paper (long ways) creased over so that you have an edge to place the bud on, and it won't fall off because the paper is bent upward.
8. but the broken up bud into the paper
9. *most important* make sure you leave about an 8th of an inch of no buds for the end that you're going to pull from.
10. Roll the blunt with your fingers making sure that the end you're going to pull from is rolled TIGHT (don't even worry about rolling the top end of the blunt until you get the bottom rolled tight)
11. Once the bottom half inch is rolled nice and tight, slowly work your fingers up rolling to the rest of the blunt up (the middle and upper parts shouldn't be as tight as the bottom)
12. Once you have it wrapped, make sure you lick it real good to seal it, and then lick your finger nice a good and run your finger up and down the part of the paper that needs to stick well so that your blunt doens't unwrap.
13. *optional* Cook the blunt so that it won't fall apart.
14. Take the remaining weed and stuff it in yoru blunt (bottom and top) and pack it down with a pencil or something so that it's packed nice and tight.
15. Twist the top to close it off (if there's room), re-wet the blunt and and cook it again.
16. *optional* take a small piece of thick paper (business card thick or baseball card thick) roll it into a small cylinder, and stick it in the bottom of the blunt so that the pulling end doesn't collapse and it'll be easier to pull from.

practice practice practice, use tobacco first if you don't want to waste weed.

dont use phillys go with a blunt wrap, most little convienence stores(especially the asian owned ones) carry the wraps usually wrapped around a little tube. Go with ghostfaces advice, just gotta practice to get that tight slow burnin beauty. All i can say is make sure your bud is broken up well and dont have any slack

and don't be afraid of a little saliva. it's what holds it all together...

I know the guy who distributes Royal Blunts blunt wrap to all of the southeast. He's a really cool guy, told me about how in the beginning he had to promote by giving out free samples and t-shirts at shows and shit.

I can usually roll 2 blunts out of one wrap, but if I roll it fat I'll use the whole thing. Best flavor, personally - platinum blunts - NYC Diesel.

yea, the flavor's called diesel - and it smells good and tastes amazing.

best way to roll a blunt, put in the weed, put it on the table, roll it like a carpet and you can make it as tight as you want. Another way instead of carpet rolling, just roll it in your hand by catching the paper in the beginning and make it a cone shape.

I picked up some royal blunt blunt wraps and they're a hell of a lot easier to roll than swishers. Anyways I just rolled one and made sure it was tight by stuffing the weed down. There was a lot a excess paper though from the blunt wrap, so I just cut it off.

I'm off to go smoke this, I'll post the results.

Myself I love cigarillos pretty much all I smoke unless we go crazy and roll up phillies. only thing I like about blunt wraps is the little straw type thing to chew on =D

ive been rollin blunts for awhile, and im pretty talented at it, i persoanlly dont like those actual wraps, with the roller, they get too tight and i cant seem to get hits, ill stick with swishers and phil dogs

im usually a swisher man if its for myself but parties u gots to pull out the phillies some times there a bitch to roll but after that its like blunt heaven ive never tried a wrap i really want to tho

roll it reaallll tight to being with, start at the middle and pull it tightly ove the bud, and work your way out.

pearl them, thats the only way to roll an actual good blunt (trust me i smoke blunts all the time)

and if you want some thick smoke with your blunt buy an optimo but i usually smoke some swishers

i think your problem is the cigar choice i noticed swishers burn fastest.....but if thats all you like/use when you go to take cancer paper off take off the whole outer leaf instead(light brown), and then take some honey or syrup and put a light coating on the inner paper(dark brown) and stick the outerleaf to the inner leaf so the honey is inbetween the 2 layers i do this because it will burn so slow and also its alot better then just rubbing it on the blunt cuz you dont get sticky hands and from my experiances honey dont harden....also try rolling blunt tighter that may help it from burning fast also could be the weed if the weeds a bit too dry you can put it ina jar weith peice of damp paper towel for few hrs to moisten it up a lil bit....hope this helps

roll them tighter, but i would roll dutches if i were u if u get them down thats all u will roll and there tight. dont roll a skimpy blunt either that will make it burn faster too try to roll a nice full blunt.

First time I ever rolled a blunt I had to use tape to fix it up, LOL!

Seems like you rolled it too loose. You gotta make em tighter to burn longer. Work on doing that and my friend, is the key to the perfect blunt.

yea man my suggestion would be just to get a blunt of your choice, possibably a dutchmaster if not go with an optimo or swisher and i can bet since its burning fast you are rolling it too loose. your prolly not putting enuff weed in the blunt also and its prolly harsh and burning your throat. the key here is to roll tighter and put enuff weed in the blunt. also do not use too much paper on your blunt, your smoking experience can get pretty harsh. you have to practice and develop your own style of rolling and after like your 10th try it should come with ease. just practice til it becomes easier for you to roll.

I'd say for a beginning such as yourself, dont use a dutch...lol...you'll get to the "dutch-level" soon enough. Wraps are convienent, but I also think for a beginner, they aren't the easiest thing to start off with. Phillies and White Owls would be my recommendation. For the simple fact that (if they are new and moist), they form very well around the weed, making it an easier motion during the rolling process. The first like 50 blunts I ever rolled were all "carpet-style" or rolling them on a surface. Then after that I transformed my game to the "hand roll". If you think about it, the carpet style is a little more flexible , as you can easily justify your tightness, but it isnt as efficient as the hand roll. (for say, rolling in a moving car)...my 2...1

okay ive only done this 2 times get a blunt wrap at a store then put the weed in and roll it with your finger tips so the weed forms up into a cylander shape then roll the blunt wrap all the way to the top and lick the gummed edge and stick it closed then take a lighter and cook it so it stays shut and gets nice and firm then you pack the weed down with the little yellow thing the blunt wrap comes rolled around and pack in more weed till its completely full

your problem is your rolling it too loose, that's the only thing that can result in joints/blunts burning to fast, unless some kind of propellant was put on the joint/sweet. joints, you want a little bit loose, but don't be afraid to tighten that blunt down...

I rolled by far my best blunt yesterday after followin some the advice posted here. Took me bout 30 mins altogether just to get the blunt operational, but it smoked pretty nice and didn't burn like a christmas tree on fire. I used a swisher again and took the outer paper off (no wonder the shit was hitting so harsh before). I think I at least got the hang of this shit now.

The secret is getting the outer leaf and the inner leaf seperate, and using the outer leaf to make the blunt tighter. Dont roll with both papers stuck together. Roll with the inner leaf first, this might be a little loose, and then wrap the outer leaf around it nice and tight.

roll 3 joints for 3 nights, and then a blunt for 3 nights, and then 3 joints....etc :rasta:

lol fuck im a pro wit blunts.. thats all i smoke.. and i actually by the wraps.. i dun see ppl splitting dem n emore? lol ... but ye.. i like that they stay moist.. but to thnik about it, i wonder how many chemicals are in it to keep it lik dat but w.e.. dont roll em to tight than u cant pull(take tokes).. i learned by watching other ppl roll, than i would by sum weed and practice, took me lik 1 week to get them good.. now i dun even drop ne thing wen im rolling.. if u cant roll than by an auto roller than.. or by a pipe/bong..
