It is cool when I read the posts from the people from England, scotland and Australia. Cause I know they have accents but can't hear it in their writing. It trips me out.

I read everything in a Scottish accent, obviously. The only one I read with American accents are BFA, friendowl & Torog, no idea why. I can almost hear Torogs voice/accent in my mind.
Scouse accent :), I love the scottish accent similar to scouse dont you think?
No.Quote:

i dont type the way i talk, simply cuz typing this way is easier to spell, and im too lazy to think how i would spell the way i speak lol
I'm always surpised when I read Sensi's posts because she "sounds" like anyone down the street from me here in California. In person, however, I have a hard time understanding some Scots. I was doing business with this guy in Scotland once and I could barely understand a thing he said. The first time I talked with him on the phone he said a couple of sentences and I was like "Um, excuse me, I know your speaking English but I didn't understand a thing you just said" He just laughed and said it slower, without any slang, and gradually I caught on.
What's really weird about accents in that people will have the same accent no matter what language they are speaking. What I mean is, when someone from England is speaking English they will have a distinct accent. But if they are speaking Chinese they will still have an immediately noticable English accent. Weird.
I cant stand the accent, its horrible! So is the liverpool/merseyside accent. I like the Fife/Edinburgh accents - really friendly and I like the way they say eh at the end of every sentence lol.Quote:

I guess it does sound weird! But I like it :)
Edit - is there no way for us all to post voice clips? That would be cool!
All accents are cool :D
Yes there is sensi go to start > programs > accessories > entertainment > sound recorder.
Record your voice and save it. :D
I actually only thought of the whole accent thing last night when I was messaging one the people I normally chat to on cam and he gave me a phone call,
hahaha It shocked me to hear a really posh english accent when he spoke
It's cool though...accents are quite a cool thing really...

But you can't define someones accent cuz of what country they come from, because loads of people in england have loads of diffrent accents (depends on what area of england they come from) and im assuming its the same in other countrys
lol i sound like a fuckin retard there lolQuote:
