SCROG with plants from seed ?

I have read lots of scrog posts in here, (something totally new to me) ... I understand Clones are usually used for scrogging, but I'm wondering if there is any reason I cant use a chickenwire screen above my "plants-from-seed" that are currently vegging, my cabinet will allow for 6+foot plants, so height isnt an issue ... I'm just interested in training them horizontally, to get more budsites ... they have already shown their female sex, so I'm guessing it will work OK ... comments ? ... :smokin:

erm yeah? why not bro? lol scrog can be and is done with seeds and clones

But, since they are female you should take clones for your next grow!

the only reason "they" say to use clones is so you don't end up training a male under the screen. so if they are already sexed then you should have no problems.

You could have gaps in your grow once you cull out the males. Defeats the idea of a screen of green method if you have holes in your forest.

Second if a male gets buy every flower will be pollinated and produce seeds. The close proximity of each plant is a problem if a boy gets through.

lol if I remember didnt you put on the screen already and then take it off, take four clones and flower them:D

yes, the screen I put up didnt allow me access to all my plants, due to the dimensions, ... I didn't like that, so I took it back down, and am growing them out conventionally ... ... what does that have to do with someone running up posts on very old threads ?? ....... :smokin:
