a mugging in shoreline, and a toker too!

the other day, 4/20 I witnessed a mugging in the fred meyer parking lot.
it was about 11:30 at night
there is a cop station about a block away
but it took 15 minutes for a cop car to get there
they dispatcher on the 911 phone was asking so many questions that it took a long time. and in the meantime the mugger got in a car and drove away, with the victims backpack.

I saw the guy who was chased. he was running for his life!
but the mugger cuaght him and tackled him.

by then the mugger realized he better get out of there right away.
and he did.
so the cops come, and I tell em what I saw, even though I was nervous as hell becuase I had been working with my plants all day long and probably had like a half ounce in my pocket.

I haven't seen the victim on the bus the last few days I hope he is allright and didn't lose too much.

later on about midnite I was still waiting for my bus and the biggest police dog I ever saw ran across the street and sat down watching me.

I said HELLO OFFICER and tried not to act scared.

then the handler/cop ran up and talked to me some more about how sad that mugging was.
we don't have many muggings fortunately.

anyway
the next day
I'm sitting at the bus stop and observing the comuters as they drive home to their big houses in innis arden

oh, and I was probably toking on my pipe once in a while too.

well one of those soccer moms musta seen me toking and called on her cell phone to the cop shop aboust a block away.

then all of a sudden I see three cops walking up to me.

they tell me they got a report of me smoking a joint in public.
I calmly denied the charges and complied with there request to run my ID.
my ID still has my old address fortunately.

then they asked me, were you smoking a hand rolled cigarette or something?
again I said no, and they realized they didn't have shit on me to even begin a search.
and they left.

I tell you guys this story to let you know just where police priorities lie.
they'd rather catch a toker instead of a mugger!

Shoreline is a shithole IMO, its because seattle is a cancerous tumor and every year ghetto shit spreads out further and further from it. Aurora is where the hookers hang out....yuck

Sucks they had to put a krispy kreme doughnuts right where the hookers work. Ive seen hookers go in for free doughnuts so many times haha

I agree with you that they are just doing it to make a living BUT they dont have to, its a cop out. Also I bet you alot of them are doing it to feed their habit among other things.

I see the total picture and prohibition doesnt work, it creates a more intricate problem. I personally wouldnt want to live directly in Seattle but the suburbs and outlying areas are great. Love the mountain views especially Mt rainier. The rain is seattles greatest downside....

My bashing of Seattle is more directed towards the people. The eastside is horrible unless you fit in with them.

i think we got off the subject sumhow...
i was put in a very sim situation. i was living with my girl at the time, and shi* was bad. and she was super anti pot. so whenever i wanted a toke, i would drive down to the park and jus blaze in my jeep. sum1, as super anti pot as my ex, saw me and called the cops. i had been sitting there for a while and had sum bubba kush i had jus got 2 hours prior. i decide to leave and as soon as i make the first turn in the direction of my house, i bike cop comes up behind me and pretends to merge into the left hand lane to turn, (u smart people already know) and i knew, so i made sure shi* was out of view in a bag on the passenger seat, not even closed, but everything was out of plain sight. so then the officer "slyly" gets behind me and turns the light on. he comes up to my passenger side wimdow and i had to manually roll the window down. my registration sticker was out of date, and he say's to me "smells funny in here to you?" fu**er i thought "funny? what do you mean funny?" he looks around knows he dosn have anything and gets on his tricy... i mean bike and rides off. When i called the same damn department and reported a break in, took them 45 minutes to travel 3 minutes away. it is ridiculous seattle420

Wtf? That soccer mom called the cops on you? Man, police don't even have to enforce and investigate their BS laws, they have the citizens do it for them! I could understand if it was, you know, a murder or something, but come on, calling the cops on someone for drugs? It's none of your business anyway!

I assure you I would never call the police for any reason, in my experience the police around here just add a heap of drama/bullshit to the situation. Local cops here will swarm to any call they get no matter how insignificant the problem is. Once i saw 8 cops that responded to a kid who was shooting bottle rockets on some guys private property......

I have lived in Seattle now for 10 years and for some reason Seattle cops have an extra chip on their shoulder; maybe it is too much coffee? The one's up in the Northend are the worse. I avoid them and they never even look at me. I work in a Seattle area hospital and have to deal with them enough. If they only knew.....:rasta:
