you need to be more specific on what ya allready have
tell us what ya allready have e.g lights, ferts and nutes , soil or hydro , what size ya space is and so on
cheers all :)
Well i have cleaned out a area in my house because i would prefer to grow inside seeing as i can controll things a bit better :D . the area that i have cleared out is about 3x3x3. As far as lights, ferts, and nutes go i really dont know what works the best.
Well, what's your budget? Optimally, you'd like to veg under Metal Halide, then switch to High Pressure Sodium for flowering on the 12/12 cycle. It'd also be recommended to grow hydro, although you should do at least one soil before you start hydro.
The budget is whatever, i made a promise to myself out of respect for my habit that when i grow, i grow right.
i would go with a simple soil setup
your soil should consist of potting soil and perlite and maybe kiln dried or masonary sand
for nutes i would go with canna terra www.canna.com
and lights go with an envirolite blue spectrum for vegging and an red spectrum for flowering
these lights will be perfect for your growspace as they dont give off much heat and are self ballasted
get an indica strain as these are more suited for small spaces lowryder are perfect for small spaces
if you are gonna try a normal indica strain veg it up to half the hieght of ya grow space or 1 foot which eva is best for you on an 18/6 light cycle ,
when ya seed sprouts i would give it just plain water for the first 3 to 4 weeks then start adding nutes after that
use mylar for on the walls for added reflectivity and get some type of ventilation and airflow in there
hope this helps
cheers all :)
The most important things to make a grow good is the best lights and temp controls.
yeah i agree one thing i left out lol
cheers all :)
start simple, use poting soil,if u go homedepoe try fish emulsion, safe for first timers.u can use florescent lighting,if u want too.after 4weeks of growth, wait until plant shows signs of needing to be fertilized.most important,or ur plants wont grow, get that watering right,i cant exspess how important that is,get that right ur 75 % here,no matter wat u do,write down wat u do,easier to get help, dont mak same mistake twice, and so u can mak adjustments, keep very close track of the watering.too many time growers do things and plants respond well, and they can rember wat they did? WRITE IT DOWN...that way ur not wasting time and spinng ur wheels..peace buthead/xxxxxx
Try to get more than 3 feet of vertcal space.
If you are new.. you should consider using CFL's... especially if you only have 3 feet of HEIGHT to work with..
It is more important to be happy then to be right..
this is called correct living
i like your philoserphy veru good knowm :)Quote:

Good ventilation and airflow is also another key element.
Think about it -- how do those PC server case growers fit a 70 - 100 watt HPS in that little fucking cab and manage to keep it within an optimum range?
Good ventilation!
That's why they're so successful -- well, that and they SCRoG [ Screen of Green ].
Read up on SCRoG, I recommend it. Also LST [ Low Stress Training ], HST [ High Stress Training ], and SoG [ Sea of Green ].
With proper training you cannot fail. It's impossible.
Why do you like to grow sativa dominant strains in tiny places..Quote:

Thanks for the advice and guidance so far i really appreciate it, what would be your advice for how to germinate the seeds. I have used the paper towel method to no success.
Really? That sucks....Quote:

That's strange... on my 1st grow, I was 100% successfull germinating 5 seeds with the paper towel method. And I'm, as you, a noob.
QUESTION: Did you pre-soak your seeds?
I don't know if you did, but I pre-soaked my seeds on a cup of water for 24 hours... a cup with water, just drop the seeds in. After about 12 hours or something, some seeds had dropped below the water level.
After the 24 hours, just a little water agitation caused the rest of them to sink to the bottom.
Did you do this? I don't think it's required, but it might help. :)
yeah i have tried it now hope its more successful then my previous endevours ty very much, Kush Over You say I need training? Could i be your padawan learner please : )?
growing isnt hard, your going to be very surprised at how well most of your plants are going to survive your first time. It doesn't take AS much effort as you think... unless your like Garden Knowm.. then its a science.
But if you just wanna grow some girlies and get some bud then keep in mind that nature originally designed the plant to grow and bud with any help from you.
I started germ'in some seeds using the papertowel method and i soaked them over night in distilled water and out of the 20 seeds i put in to let soak only 3 of them floated (I Like that ratio : P). I put the bag under my bed, because i have drawers underneth, do you think what i have done will do me some justice? Is there anything else that i can do to boost my numbers of sprouts?
