good mom bad mom?

i have 2 son,s. when my oldest was 15, i caught him smokin weed...i was a bit perturbed, but coodnt say 2 much caz he saw me smokin it.so i figured if i just let him go ahead and smoke, with the stipulation...he cood only smoke it at home...i did this thinkin he wood not get in2 much trouble this way...well he proved me rt.neither him ,nor his brother ever got in2 trouble over smokin weed, and i do believe they kept it home...now they r grown, have good job,s, and have there own families...and they still smoke...so>>good mom, bad mom?

i still believe that if more parent,s were 2 do this( caz u guy,s r gonna do it anyway,s) that there wood b alot less trouble in the school,s and in the home

Kids do not need manipulation, they need simple guidance. Guide them in the right direction, and you very rarely will go wrong.

good, the only way you could be a 'bad mom' is if you told your kids no you can't smoke without atleast gathering and researching trustworthy information on the drug it's self, or in short, having aclosed mind on all drugs period...

when i typed this thread, slip, i new there wood b a wise ass out there.
i dont no bout ur parent,s, but i put trust in my son,s ,and they respected that trust. i have been smokin pot 4 about 35 years, and feal i no some about it and it,s effect,s. the key words here wood b trust and respect. and i had both from them, and 4 them. i dont expect 4 every parent out there 2 do this, caz not all parent,s can trust there kid,s. my son,s both graduated. and did something with there live,s so u just keep wise assin, u sure dont bother me**

like i said, not every parent can trust there kid. but i did. neither 1 of them has ever done a single day in jail over pot. and they donot buy or sell pot, they grow it.this i taught them.
but let it b known , that id donot and will not ever ,give any 1 under the age of 18 any thing that cood harm them in any way.pot alcahol, or pills. i did this in my own family, and my son,s showed no interest in other thing,s i have way 2 much respect for other parent,s than 2 do so.

but be careful. by stipulating that "your house is safe to smoke in" his friends may decide that YOUR HOUSE is the PARTY HOUSE. wich is unfortunetly what happened to me. ometimes against my own will. I'd go tell my Dad, and I'd get in trouble (unfair :() but yea.

my son,s r all grown up no.. 34, and 37...i live alone now...and never wood i allow some 1,s child 2 smoke in front of me, in my home or some where else...that is strickly a parent 2 child thing...and yes we smoked 2gether...

so puff, you looking do this again?! because i am 15, and my mom is kicking me out when this school year ends, JUST because i "smoke pot" she doesnt even see me as her son anymore, im more like "a bad seed" to her, she lets my other 2 brothers (who are 25 and 27) live here AS LONG AS THEY WANT, has their own room, their own bed, buys them eatch a car, pays for their gas, and spoils them in every way possible, brings them every where. i dont even have a bed to sleep on, only a couch. my mom even says this "sorry kent(me), but if one of your brothers DO choose to move out, and your still here, his room is going to be my new office...thats just how it has to be kent.." when it comes to vacations, im "left behind to watch the house" because my parents cant "afford" to take me with them. so im going to say this, you are a GOOD mom. and i know Plenty of moms just like you in my area, and all their kids are some of the COOLEST and SMARTEST kids i have EVER met. but when i go over to a freinds house that has a mom like yours, it makes me feel like shit. like something i wish i had, but will be Damn near impossible to find. its hard to say this, but it looks like "im gunna have to find a new Mom..." or atleast some where to sleep till i turn 18 :(

Puff, here are my feelings on it. Alot of you guys probably won't like them but here goes...... No, I wouldnt let my 3 boys (13,17,23) smoke at home. # 1 reason, it's illegal ( which I know S U C K S ), because alcohol is way more harmful N deadly n it's legal ?? WTF?
Anyway, yeah, if the cops happen to come to my house, were all busted, that would worry me..... Can you guys understand this?

i restect u 4 ur belief,s...my son was 15, and the other son had 2 w8 till he was 15... i have a 13 yr old grandaughter ,that i wood not even think bout lettin her smoke... not now..but i am very happy 2 say ,she does not have any interst in smokin anything...thank God 4 that...my ways r the old ways, and r not readily excepted now...but thank u r u view...
