I think that HP one posted above looks like a good deal. I have a Kodak and it is also nice, it does take clear pictures.
Kodak, Canon and Nikon are all great . Check out this place

I get all my photgraphy stuff from them. They've got good prices and great service.
i would go with the tigerdirect link, that camera looks very nice, auto focus, and a mic... It comes with a lithium rechargeable battery, thats great my digital camera eats my freakin batteries, it blows i got some rechargeable batteries for it but it still goes through em! yea, that one looks like a good deal.
I'm a huge fan of Cannon cameras. Whatever you decide to get, you might want to make sure it has a macro feature. Macro will allow you to get nice and close (1-5 inches) from your subject matter; quite handy for cannabis things. :D
I'm actually not a big fan of canon, they've let me down before. I myself like hp, but it doesn't reallty matter. The higher the megapixel the clearer the image, and the more you'll be able to zoom in.
Here's some shots with my Kodak "DX3900".
Look at my eyes in the black & white.
I dunno tbh, i aint got a cam, but if you do get one friendowl, post the pics of your WW and C99 harvest

5 mega-pix is plenty good enough IMO... it's like razors after 2 3 blades it's all the same to me... below are pics from my Fuji FinePix A210 3.2mp,you just need a steady hand and Know Your Camera, fuk with all the settings and do a lot of pictures... Walmart carries an inexpensive, excellent lasting, rechargeable batteries Too",they outlast them all two fold "Digital" 'pic below vvv' ...
Just one more thing.: I love my Fuji FinePix and will get another when needed... I dropped it from my truck seat to the pavement and it still worked like an old fukin Timex...
My take on rechargeable AA Batteries is:: They are available everywhere and cheap, why fuk with a manufacturers battery you need to probably pay 1/3 as much as the cam to replace,if the cam comes with AA and a charger that would be cool... charge 8 AA and your set for the day...

I'll only buy Canon. Good technogogy in every camera. Decide on size, MegaPixels, and zoom. You can get a good camera for 200.
Cameras that use AA rechargable are best because you can use store bought AA in a pinch. Invest in a fast AA charger.
I used to sell cameras at a Ritz Camera, and the best balance of price, quality and durability would be either Nikon, Minolta or Canon. Brands like Fuji, Kodak, HP, etc. use a lot of plastic components in the camera. I've seen a lot of them break, especially the zoom motor for the lens. They wont hold up well if you're going to be very avtive with them.
I'm also a photography student, all of the gear I own is Minolta. They all hold up very well and take excellent quality photos.
