what were you fired for?

was it smoking pot in the bathroom at your break? or did you just not come back when you were done?

I got fired for giving insufficient notice of absense.

i was working as a security guard
at a bingo game.i had never seen
bingo being played.all the old people
had cash lots of cash.there was a full
room of money and i was in charge.
i made a call from the payphone and
a few minutes later the place was robbed.
i was unarmed so couldnt do much but laugh
when my boss rolled up to see what happened
i told him the job was too dangerous and i quit
he gave me my money and i split home to collect
the big loot.i dont know how much was taken
but i got a sufficient amount

I technically got fired for being late (after I gave them a 6 hour notice), but I was really fired for having a bad attitude. I had family up visitng from FL while a hurricane wrecked havoc. I took the 1st half of the day to drive them around getting gas cans (there was no gas in FL at the time) and shit like penut butter and bread the day they left to go back. When I got into work, they sent me home for being late. I told them where they could go and they let me go home for good. Worked out though. I got another job making more money doing less work. I won't give any names, but it was a large tax software company run by biblical principles.

I just got an update from my mom and there's a new company policy banning smoking from any location they own (they own half of the town). A bunch of people are quitting and shit. The worst part is that as more people e-file tax returns, the more money they make. The company president was one of like 5 people in the pilot program for the irs e-file program in the 80s. He's made millions of dollars. Now they make tax software for professionals and file millions of tax returns go through thier system each year.

HERES A CLASSIC!!!

I was working at blockbuster in an express store just me and my mate and we were so so poor back in these days! Basically there is this big tall Haggen Das (or however you spell it) fridge freezer stocked to the teeth with icecream maybe 30 big tubs and 50 little ones i opened the fridge door and saw that basically when you close the door a little catch at the top triggers the fans to keep it cool lol well i pulled the door down while it was open so it didnt hit the catch anymore waited like an hour and called the manager to let him know a customer complained that the icecream they bought had melted and i noticed the freezer was broke and all the ice cream had melted so he told me to put it all in a bin bag (THE WHOLE FRIDGE) and throw it away! lol so me and my mate filled up 3 bin bags full of ice cream and got another mate to come over and stock up all our freezers with ice cream!!!!

and wanna know the best part i didnt even get fired for it until like 6 months later when i was leaving my job and confessed to it hahah :)

It was funnier at the time i swear :P

i was working as a laborer for a big masonry company. we were building a huge 5 story dormitory at the university. towards the end of the job the bossman realized he had about 5 or 6 extra tons of bricks(one ton fits on a palate) and nominated me to be the one to drive his truck back and forth to the concrete company(where they bought the bricks) to return them.

so the forklift loads them up and im on my way. what a perfect chance to smoke a bowl since i loved to smoke weed at work whenever i got the chance. so i smoke a bowl and im driving down the road. i had told my boss i knew how to find the place but ill be damned if i could. so i stopped and asked for directions.

on my way again and i forgot i had a on ton of bricks on the back and took a turn too fast. they load shifted and bricks went fling into the intersection.the right rear part of the truck was about 6 inches of the ground and the left front tire was a foot or 2 off the ground. it looked like i had hit the switch on a low low and was cruisin.

fortunately for me i passed by another site where our company as working. the look on those guys faces when i pulled up was priceless but my boss fired my ass. that work was killing me anyway so i didnt mind.

I was fired once & was not even given a reason. The boss lady did not like me she was a real bitch & I had no problem letting her know it. That could be the reason...

Ive never been fired, and never plan to be fired! work sucks so i just quit, havent yet found a job worth keeping!:)

i've stopped showing up to one job (got real fucked up on new years and the party didn't stop for like 5 days) so i guess i kinda got fired from there. other than that i've always quit never been fired

When I was 13 I worked in a Great Eastern department store... I was the attendant/change giver in the little arcade "PONG the first vid game was hot at the time"... I had a safe as well as the other change givers... We all had a 70 dollar bank role in change and on thurs the boss came in and counted all the banks then turned it into all change for the new week... Perfect!!! I got payed on Weds "30 to 35$ a week"... I would play pinball most of the time and my 30+ dollars was not cutting it,so I started hitting my bank... I hit my bank and when Wednesday rolled around I would replenish it... I got a call one Tuesday night "Your bank is low,your a thief,your fired!!! No more pinball Yur screwed...

i worked at NAPA a few years back. my oldest brother left the job a few hrs earlier that day(he was sitting at my door step waiting for me to get home). i had work that day, and like an hour into it, i was talking with another employee about what happened, siad i wanted "to leave this shit", and a boss was upstairs and heard me. he told me to get the hell out.

Napa reminded me of another job I had... I delivered autobody supplies to car dealers... I left my bong in the van on Sat and had no fuckin key to get it out,sure enough I got a call,and lost my bong!!!

I only been fired once....

This few yrs back now, i clocked in at 1130am went down the scooker bowl, got pissed n stoned, didnt go back till 345 pm got into a fight at work :O this was on a friday, the following monday i was out!

A few times, I got fired for calling in sick too many times. :o

A few times the job just wasn't working out. I wasn't enjoying it, giving it my all, nor I cared, so I have lost jobs due to that.

I sometimes didn't get along with my bosses. I have been fired once for flipping out on my boss because he demanded to see my friends funeral write up in the newspaper...in another city. :rolleyes: I tossed my hardhat at him, called him a fag, and stormed off. He was yelling at me the whole walk down the stairs.

I once got fired for spilling a huge wood load of lumber on the street with a forklift. I said I could drive one, I lied. Whoops!

somehow i've never been fired. Ive no called-no showed at my current job about 15 or 20 times. they're just like "where were you last bla bla" im like "sleeping"...then theyre like "oh...try not to do it again"

I've never been fired.. If I don't like the job, I can't quit it.. I NEED cash REALLY bad.. I start searching for a new one, and when I get one (IF I get one) I quit and start the new one..:)
