He is why I believe terrorists are the ones that really did what happened on 9-11...he is living proof to me..he should be put to death. How would you have reacted in that courtroom..hearing those voices for the first time of someone saying I don't want to die? What made me so proud of the passengers that fought back..was reading about how those evil pieces of crap (terrorists) faltering and having to struggle to hold that door..and then their last words..Praise to Allah. I don't know if I could have been in that building with him if I had lost some one I loved so violently. I was really sidetracked by the plane thing but after his trial..and that cockpit recording..I don't think our Government knew..but thats just my opinion. I always acknowledged 9-11 but it was one of those things that I really haven't"connected" with until keeping up with Moussaoui's trial. I also watched a video for the first time of people jumping out of windows after the planes hit..I don't think I will watch it again.

There is no way to describe what it was like to have been in lower NYC, much less the WTC, on 9/11 - and afterwards.

For many months the air was full of smoke and chemicals. We all thought that we'd get cancer or lung damage eventually, and some of the rescue workers have already succumbed to it.

Most of the firefighters from the fire company across the street from the WTC perished, during rescues. I could picture them, as they used to be, hanging out or responding to the frequent calls in the financial district and WTC, whenever I walked by that fire house for several years. It just seemed impossible that so many had died - at the hands of terrorists.

When the fires started really burning, they knew that it was hopeless. While the emergency-rescue firemen were preparing to go up to bring out more people, there were fire department chaplain priests in the streets giving the Catholic ones their last rights - it was a suicide mission and they knew it.

We must never allow something like this to happen again, ever.

A 757 plane never even hit the Pentagon...and the government said with absolute certainty that a 757 did hit it. Well if the government said it did, where is the wreckage? And surely since it was the Pentagon hit, there had to have been security footage. Don't you think the government would have security footage of a plane hitting the Pentagon to make their story credibile? THERE IS NONE BECAUSE NO PLANE HIT IT!!! If the government lied about the Pentagon, which they did....why on Earth would you want to believe the "official" story on the WTC and 9/11 in a whole?

I do not dislike you or your posts - although I disagree with some of your views, and things get a little rough here sometimes. Everybody disagrees - but it is obvious that you are a very decent person, at the very least - and have a very big heart as well.

The 9/11 attacks were worse than Pearl Harbor, in my opinion, because civilians were targeted. It is generally considered the worst attack in history - not just in comparison those against America, or for the 20th century everywhere else, but of all time.

I do not believe that the NYFD and NYPD families received the same settlements, because it was their job to put their lives on the line. There have been various funds, and charities, set up to help, though. They probably had life insurance, also.

After the second plane hit, the building that I worked in was evacuated. I went to a subway that was running (most were not), and met an architect. He told me that the Towers were built to collapse and crumble straight down, in the event of a major catastrophe, and his prediction was correct - and this is exactly what happened after I arrived home and turned on the TV.

I have already explained the disclaimer too many damn times!! IT IS FOR LEGAL REASONS!!!!!! I don't think that would have been right about the Firefighters and the Police Officers..even though it was in the line of duty that should have made their settlements a priority..not leaving families..and all those children to live with insecurity..thats not right imo. My husband told me that the buildings were built that way also..because of what happened in 93. Im sorry you were there that day..I can't imagine..your right on that one. I was sleeping in on 9-11..my husband called (he was out of State) and told me to turn the damn t.v. on..so I did..and it was like a good 10 minutes before we figured out what had happened..I turned the t.v. on right before the second plane flew in the other tower. Do you live in fear? Because of 9-11? No I am not saying like a coward would fear..but more like is it always on your mind? Especially being that close to the site? I was very lucky - as was my wife. I can't say very much here about it, at least until I retire (early) in a couple of years. We have huge mechanical steel barricades that come up out of the street to keep unchecked vehicles from entering the financial district. Cops with uzis, and police dogs, are all around as well. There are bomb sniffing Labs, private security people, and undercover agents all over. It's just a way of life.

I forgot to mention that I was across the street from the Trade Center when they bombed it's garage in '93, and I went inside the building after it happened. I thought that the explosion was much further uptown. I used to work in several of the WTC buildings, some time ago, before any of these things happened.

After 9/11, we also had to deal with the possiblilty of Anthrax , bomb threats to the buildings, subway attack threats, etc.

I would say that I had post-traumatic stress, along with many other people here. It really felt like we were in a war zone - and still does, four and a half years later, but the PTSD has subsided.

All in all, it wasn't easy, and still isn't - but you just have to keep yourself going, stay busy, and be aware of your surroundings and the people around you.

Um... At&t just filed a class action law suit that said they has contracted through the NSA to filter ALL internet transactions. We New Yorkers do not pay much attention to craziers and other assorted assholes stumbling along muttering to themselves. In the weeks following 9/11, all kinds of nuts came out of the woodwork and were making wild statements in the streets of downtown NYC. Weirdos carrying posters with the words "THE END IS NEAR!" were running around drooling - like the apocalypse had started.

But anybody down there giving speeches, calling the government of the U.S. â??fascistsâ?� and the American people "stupid", and worse things that Iâ??d rather not repeat , wouldn't do very well at all.

Even Alex Jones knows this - he asks questions, and extrapolates the answers that he wants, in his films, from the people in the street. Jones, a shameless exploiter of this tragedy, does not claim to be a representative of the supernatural.
