tips for my first acid trip

Well on tuesday this dude in my music class was telling me about how his friend was always on acid, so I asked if he could get me some and he said sure, it would be really easy. Around these parts, acid is very hard to come by. I didn't really think he would get any immediately, but today he comes into class and throws down a werther's original or whatever, and said it had to hits of acid on it.

Now, Monday is the next day I have off of work, and I only have one class. I plan on doing it then, when I get out of class. I'm going to be all by myself all day, and I want to know what precautions I should take, or cool things I can do. Movies, games, anything. I already have an ambient mix CD with bands like Explosions in the Sky, Godspeed You Black Emperor and of course Brian Eno. Anybody have any tips or anything?

Just take it and go about your business like usual. Don't even worry about having a bad trip, you'll love that shit.

I just had my first acid trip a few weeks ago, even that single hit is pretty heavy duty but you wont have a bad trip. Dont take it half heartedly like just cause it might be fun though, really want that hit and it will be rewarding. As long as your not saying "I wish I wasn't on it anymore" it will be enjoyable.

Everyone in here is acting like its immpossible to have a bad trip, so you wont think of having one... but its possible...

Only happends to weak minded people, or paranoid people.

I've only done mushrooms, but one thing i know is Be in a good minset for the trip, and be around things your used to (trip somewhere your familiar with, whether it be you home, backyard... whatever)

Also for the trip, you should have music, and toys you like at hand... it will help you stay in that good mindset.

Also, if some hallucination startles you or something... just laugh it off, like you would if your freind came up behind you and scared you.

why do people always say be in a good mind set? that is so stupid because if ur in a badmind set u cant force ur self to be in a good mindset.

fo tru, i always just take it, pack a bowl and go about my business( just make sure i dont have to drive anywhere) and then when i least expect it, BAM!, its not just the weed i feel and the xbox visual looks really cool ( Milkdrop - it reacts to music)....perfect circle and of montreal are good bands to put on as far as im concerned

I would suggest that you don't do it alone. its way more fun when you can interact with friends. The first time I tripped acid, I tripped alone because all my pothead friends passed out while I was tweakin' out. Also, I suggest that you get some nice kind bud to smoke after you start to see the ceiling bubble up.

My brain can be an awkward motherfucker sometimes. I'll try and get in the mindset for tripping and it won't cooperate.

FOR EXAMPLE:
Two months ago, me and two friends were going to trip. However, I couldn't stop thinking about crazy, scary shit. The kind of stuff that isn't good to think about while tripping. So I decided to wait till tomorrow. The next day, everytime I think about acid, I start thinking about that crap again.

So finally I get frustrated and have a 30minute mind war with myself. My brain kicks my ass and the acid is postponed for another day. Fianlly on the third day I say fuck it and we decide to pop it. During the onset period I'm still trying to get my brain to cooperate with me. The only solution I can think of is some good ol' Mary Jane. So while we're waiting we go through 3-4 joints. By the time the acid kicked in, I'd couldn't remember what I'd had for breakfast this morning, much less being paranoid or mentally raping myself with unnerving thoughts.
