Has anyone ever gotten high and gone to sleep immidiatly afterwards? I was just thinking about what sort of dreams might occour from that.... if that's happened to you before (which to me right now seems like a waste of a good high... pending change on that opinon based on the feedback i get here), do you mind sharing what sort of dreams (if any) you had and how they were differant (or not) than normal? thanks.
When I go to bed stoned (most nights) I don't dream,
or don't remember them...
When I take a break I dream vividly,
sometimes a little too vividly.
i have trouble sleepin so i smoke weed to help me sleep. i'll smoke a few j's and then fall asleep infront of the telly.
weed definatly helpz me sleep. i usually have ta lay down fer 30 minz to an hour ta fall asleep but when i smoke a few bongz b4 i lay down i juss sit an let my mind drift off. if i go 2 bed thinkin bout bein high er smokin, i usually dream bout smokin. other then that i dunt rlly notice a difference.

I find that smoking weed then sleeping helps me sleep and also makes me wake up sooner and feeling more refreshed. I reckon it just tires you out so well that you sleep like a log. I also tend to dream more if I've been smoking.
Thing is, I didn't smoke before bed last night and I had an odd dream that I was standing in my bathroom with my decapitated head in my hands except it was mummified and wrapped in bandages and had a big slit in the neck. Then the lower jaw and the upper jaw unhinged themselves. It was scary.
I always smoke before I go to bed. If I dont I usually stay up late cause I cant calm my mind down and I will lie awake in bed for hours thinking of nothing. I dont know if I have had any weird dreams from it. The only thing I have noticed is if I was smoking and fall asleep on the couch I usually wake up very hot and sweaty, but that is the only thing different I can tell.
As RNF said, if I fall asleep high i usually wake up sweaty as hell. But i usually have a good sleep too.
Ive smoked like an hour before going to sleep before and I've had some really just weird dreams before sleep, mainly sex dreams tho :eek:

i had constant nightmares almost six days a week until i started smokeing regularly. I didn't notice that it stopped until after a couple of months ....i was thinking about a bad dream one night and i noticed that i hardly ever have had a n y recent nightmares....that is awsome.........going right to sleep after smoking alot i somethime go right into a dream and then i realize that i am really still awake and i jolt like when you fall in your sleep, it's like yyou really might have gone someplace else, i don't think that is true, but it feels like a major trance, it's scary at first, but when you rmemeber what the hell's just happened i have to laugh...
i have found that if i have some weed that is heavy toward the sativa side i will have wild dreams, more indica i am just knocked the hell out. lol
Yea if i have the bud, I usually just smoke like half a bowl pack b4 i go to bed. Just enough to get me high so I cant watch tv and sleep. Very refreshing.
I like to smoke before I go to sleep too. When I dream, I usually have normal dreams. Once in a while I'll have a strange dream. I'll smoke before bed because it's very relaxing.
Sounds like doing it before bed just makes you have better sleep :D Alright I guess that means it's not too wastefull... if I'd only smoke a half a bowl like MRB041 said. I'm gonna try it and see how fulfilling my sleep actually becomes (I get horrible sleep now since I'm sorta anaemic). Thanks peeps. This toke's for you!
i swear when i get off probation ill never go to sleep stoned again. i becam accustomed to this an eventualy started needing to be realy stoed to fall asleep. so when i quit i couldnt sleep at all. its been about a year since i quit an i still have one tha most irregular sleep patterns
THat is what I like to do too. That way you have half a bowl to start off the morning and because usually half isn't enough for a proper wake n' bake I end up smoking another one.Quote:

I smoke every night before bed b/c of PTSD, I have nightmares and grind my teeth and whatnot. Weed helps tremendously and I recommend it over any of those antipsychotics that they push as a prescription sleeping pills any day. Those dumb you out and give a nasty hangover.

lol i always smoke before sleepin like with my brother. i listen to some maiden or bob marley or even hendrix and then i fall asleep. helps alot to sleep :). one of some weird dream i did is that my 2 front theet were missing and i had to put some walse and i was pretty sure those theets were missin cauz i was doin too much pills. HAHAHAHAH. i woke and i was like holy shit man what a fucked up dream lol. some of my friends take mush before sleepin. make some weird dreams too :D eh eh.
P.S. weed is never waste, even if u die after tokin. :D

I like to smoke before I go to bed. I was really baked one night and i thought I was going to have a heart attack. When I passed out I dreamed that I was in a car with m y friends and they pulled out a key of coke! Another time I dreamed that I ate mushrooms
man i have no problems sleepin stoned or not but i do find when i am all cut up and fuckd out my tree al i do is ly down and i'm snoreing...

I must be weird, because I trip the fuck out in my sleep. If I just lay down I feel like I'm floatin and spinning. I usually dream about weird shit, like eating my shoes.

i never dream when i smoke weed and go to sleep or pass out lol
I do it quite often. I'm an insomniac, so it really helps me FALL asleep, and STAY asleep. I don't remember my dreams though, I know I have them. I just don't ever remember them.

It takes me 3 hours to fall asleep sober, but when im high im one tired person. So marijuana helps me sleep at night.
I'm one of those people that slap's hands, jogs on the spot,jumps into bed and try's desperately to go to sleep. Then after about 10mins get's board and has to get up again. Not fun.
i love hittin one before i go to sleep......all last school year i made it a habit and i tried to get out of it, but i couldnt sleep, so its a good thing and a bad thing at the same time. I remember having dreams, and like some said, they were very vivid and felt real, like i was in another place. some cool shit dude.
thats y i started smoking, i cant sleep it helps. cant remember dreams but falling asleep i see weird stuff like being on a rollercoaster then the track goes off n2 nowhere then turns into bubbles or sumthing weird like that. its good. but dont do it when ur out with m8s its annoying when u wana do sumthing n theyve fallen asleep n u cant do nething.
Whenever i have it, i smoke my usual 10:30 bowl laying in my bed blowing out my window. This habit is probly simply due to to how convenient it is... my bed is right next to my window and i just bust out my stash and pipe from my nightstand, spark a nice bowl, and put everything away without even changing positions. Over the summer i wake up and blaze random bowls in the middle of the night regularly.
when i smoke on school nights and then go to sleep like 30-45 min after i wake up feeling really good and not tired even if i slept at 2 am and woke up around 6:30 and makes my day more cheery
I read a study done a couple years ago in Switzerland about sleep and cannabis. Apparently THC inhibts REM sleep (you know, dreaming). This means that a person with THC acting upon their brain won't enter REM sleep until the THC has been completely absorbed, usually early in the morning. That's why most people who go to bed stoned, myself included, don't remember having many dreams, except when they haven't smoked for a day or two. Then there is a sudden rash of bizzare dreams.

i have fallen asleep after ive gotten high quite a few times.. i hate it though, feels like im wasting my money - i want to be able to stay up and enjoy the buzz.
Bogart, ino how u feel, i fall sleep quite often after tokin up, i jus wanna enjoy the buzz abit longer, i normaly go to sleep at smokin shit loads though jus blows my head off :)
when i sleep high (ALOT) i dream of weed, like finding it, or buying it or smoking it or rolling it
i know you won't believe this (unless you have had similar experiences) and note before hand no these types of dreams we're not due to drugs cuz i've had them since i was about 7 or 8 and didn't start smoking til 13. ok well i tend to have dreams and the mean nothing, but i'll remember certain parts, and it isn't too clear but i can still get a picture. example being: someone laying on a bed watching a certain t.v. show, while another person is standing infront of the fridge, and i'm sitting a certain way, say sprawled out and as low as i can get on the couch with my head resting on my arm. ok well a few days or weeks will go bye and that same thing will happen and i'll remember it. from my dream. and before any messed up comments that don't need to be here i don't care who doesn't believe me, and i've met other people that are like that, my wife for example and some friends. also weed doesn't cause it. it just makes it come more frequently
