hey quick question ive researched so much bout pot cause im a loser, and ive heard a lot of shit about it having long term effects on your brain like it can fuck it up so its easier to become mentally ill like schitzophrenic. does anyone think this is true or is it just bullshit

If you're prone to schizophrenia, it can actually trigger the symptoms, but as far as I know...Marijuana does not actually cause the disorder itself. Almost certain of this!

it is very highly unlikely to get true schizophrenia/psychosis-like disorder from weed, i have had a few very bad panic attacks, but not persisting after the trip, which i myself can be VERY sensitive to panic attacks and depression, though not so much anymore, i tried to do a little bit of acid awhile ago, i don't think i did enough or it was just crappy acid, i felt a little though, no visuals, i actually felt kinda good instead of dysphoric, and usually for me i think i would have gotten a bad placebo effect, especially a strong psychedelic like acid

actually if you have schizophrenia and you didn't know it weed will most definitely show you that you have it so you can get help early for it.
the only part of your body that is going to be affected negatively is your lungs. when you eat it, nothing is affected negatively. when you vaporise it your lungs may be affected but MINIMALLY, nothing like smoking it.
even when you smoke marijuana though, it's still not that bad. there are no additives like ciggies have (nicotine, animal urine), and you'd have to smoke multiple times daily to actually notice any effect on your body.
i used to smoke 2-3 times daily and after awhile i developed a pretty bad smokers cough, but all it took was cutting it back to 3-5 times a week and my cough was gone in a few weeks.
it really is an injustice that we are at risk of going to jail for using this plant. i don't know how our country has gone this long without changing it. in this day and age, almost every argument to keep it illegal is ludicrous and can easily be countered by a legalization lobbyist.
prohibition supporters dont want to show you data. they don't want to show you studies. they just want to throw shit on a sheet of paper to get you to be scared of what this drug could do to our nation if it was legalized. if you've ever read a pro marijuana article, it's riddled with statistics from research which is always cited.

I know a girl that has a serious personality disorder associated with psychotic delusions(auditory and visual) and she can take pot pretty well

cannabis can trigger schizophrenia if it runs in your family, for me it sure as hell dumbed me but it changed my perception of things at the same time (in a good way though, kinda) i think that if i didnt do drugs i wouldnt realise how fake everything is....also if smoked regulary in large amounts when a teenager theres a 1 in 4 chance (might be 1 in 10) of you suffering psycosiss when your older..even if you stop smoking
