Lady Vapor 3rd. Times a Charm
It has been said the third time is the charm. For me this is becoming true. I'm reveging four from my second grow(my best one is 5 1/2' tall). Eleven new strain of Indica/Sativa that are extreemly hearty. Then to fill up the space about 8 small Sativas in hard to reach places. These have been growing since the 1st. of the year and will go to 12 hr. light in a week. In order to water, etc. I have to move two pots to make an isle for a crawl space. One of my favorite things to do is sit in the middle with a bong and an iPod. 7th. Heaven:) June 1st. Harvest Time:dance:

I'm ten days into flowering after growing 10 weeks. Four males bit the dust. That leaves me 8 new strain of Indica/Sativa and 8 Sativa. Here's some pics.
1st. pic is a busted male:thumbsup: 2nd. pic shows my space heater and a two ligthts on floor for underside of plants (I'm real careful about water and or stepping on them!). 3rd. New strain at 4 feet. 4th. pic is what you're looking for. All 16 plants have flowers like these one em now :) Pic 5 is my best new strain at 5 1/2 feet and was topped once

I forgot to mention.... My best reveg is 6 and 1/2 feet and was topped two times. I'll put up a pic of it next time... She's turned into a monster! I'm real interested in discovering just how much bud I get from it and if the potency drops off :stoned:

Postmandave asks: "do you think you will get a better yeild of your regen" I used the Cannibis Grow Bible to learn much of what I now put into use. The book suggested it may not be as good of a yield and or the potency could drop. In just 10 weeks time it has a ton of flowers on it... I will let you know after harvest what it comes out like.
Garden Knowm says: "WOW... its a forest!!"
I learned something about maximizing your yield from looking at the cover of "The Cannibis Grow Bible" and seeing how the leaves fall off like they did in my last grow. The cover of the book shows plants packed together real close on both sides of a big room with a tiny isle to walk. After the flowering has been going about a month it begins loosing all it's leaves except around the flowers. That makes it possible for light to get to all the flowers (provided you have enough light).
One other thing I found is that by leaving them in the buckets I can move them around once I get rid of the males.
I love sitting in the middle of the grow space with my iPod and listen to Tangerine Dream's album called "Ambient Monkeys."

Just wanted to show a pic of one of my 5' high by 4' wide ladies. Doesn't she have lovely little twinkly flowers! She's got 7 other sisters, but not all are that nice. I ended up finding 5 males out of this grow. Ending up with 16 lonely ladies. I started adding the mercury vapor light for good measure.

That garden looks very nice Lady V.
Congratulations! Very nice indeed... :)

Thanks turle420 ;) I wish I was retired and could convert the whole underside of my house to a real farm! My last grow only had 3 females as 2 of my last 5 were males. Then there's the medical plant I obtained, but got stunted. In all I only got about 15 oz. from the 4 plants. Sooooooo, with 16 going this time and lots and lots of light - I'm hoping for 3 lbs.

I'm going to WalMart to look for a 5,000 watt flourecent fixture somebody bought there. If not, I gotta get at least 3 more 100 watt swirly bulbs for the floor. I need to get more light from the bottom up to get to all the flowers. I can see where the flowers that aren't getting direct light aren't growing as fast.
Also, I bought a new product at Pet World called, "Liquid Acid Buffer" It converts Alkalinity into CO2 @_@ If it's ok for fish and plants I would hope it's ok for my garden to bring down the ph level. It goes a long way for 12 dollars.

Lady Vapor 3rd. Times a Charm
I found some cool 5 leg/star light stands to help light up the underside of my plants. They were only 2.50 a piece - one warning though - They are only good for up to 25 watt bulbs... All my 100 watt swirly bulbs use 26 watts so I kept a good eye on them for 12 hours... I don't think that extra 1 watt will start any fires @_@ !
The second pic is my biggest reveg standing at close to 7 feet.
I'm running 2,050 watts total at about 150,000 lumens. The flowers are growing much faster this time with all the 100 watt swirly bulbs. This place is going to start cranking now ... I hope ;)

WOW thats all I can SAY your a BEAST and so are ur plants. I wish I can have that many plants growing at one time. Nice job man keep it up
Do you know the name of the strains?

Lady Vapor 3rd. Times a Charm
Thanks BukDatAss! I'll be enlarging my growspace this summer to get it ready for December. Growing in the winter is cheapest for me as I live in the mountains were it's cool.
The two strains I mixed for the new strain are Mexican Red Hair and an Indica seed I got from a friend that found it in some 800 dollar an ounce Orange Kush or from some 500 dollar an ounce he can't remember the name of...

Hello LV :), I love to see tall full sized plants, they look very nice :).
I used to grow mine full sized one's, but I've become more intrested in trying to get crops done quicker:o .
I hope to do a more "satisfying" grow after the current one, Let them grow a little longer.
Keep up the good work, they look super ;)
love mand xxx:)

Close call!
I was just about ready to leave today and for some lucky reason I found a male that looked just like a female on the top:confused: Notice the flower that was the top looks very female... Then a little further down I find a ton of these! I went through this last time and it pollinated enough to produce about 100 seeds in 4 plants.
At first I thought it was a hermie, but as I look at it the top and one other flower were the only female looking parts of the plant. The rest of the plant was making tons of pollen sacks.
I really lucked out because it was a shorter plant near the back and gets very little wind right now so if it pollinated a few flowers I'd love to get the seeds from the plant. There lots of flowers from all the plants the size of a thumbnail :) One of the four real nice ones has the leaf color of the mother. I'll get a pic of it tomorrow night.
Thanks all:thumbsup:

Lady Vapor 3rd. Times a Charm
WOW your lucky you took it out now. Now thats 1 mean hermie:mad:
It looks as though maybe 2 pollen balls split open in the picture. I hope it didnt get around but you said its near the back and dosent catch much wind so you'll be safe, just make sure theres no more of those man whores sitting around:thumbsup:

I WENT THRU THE SAME THING LAST NITE. I WAS OUT TRIMMING, AND FOUND A BUD WITH GREEN SEEDS. I THOUGHT OH SHIT. AS I LOOKED FURTHER ON THE PLANT, I FOUND A FEW CLUSTERS OF "APE GRAPES". I EVEN FOUND A TINY YELLOW BANANA. LOOKS LIKE ONLY THIS ONE PLANT WAS POLLINATED. I HAVE HIM, HER, IT, WHAT EVER YA CALL IT, INSIDE TODAY AND IT'LL GET A TOTAL NEUTERING.
GOOD LUCK TO YA

I would be dying if the same thing hadn't happened before and it was further along. I held my breath for a week before I knew very little went to seed. There is just too much too loose with this crop to see it go to seed.
Anyhoo, the first pic shows the plant with the medical mothers colors... Kinda hard to see it right.. the leave are actually on the blue side. All the plants you see in it are from the medical plant I grew last grow. Notice the color difference from the right and left side? If I'm correct, it will grow wicked flowers like the medical one (My avator shows a bud from the medical plant - Indica).
The second pic shows a good shot of how its coming along...

Look at my hybrid Freak bud in pic one! That's one freaky bud. It's almost 2 inches of white hairs. I cut back some of the million leaves on it to see underneath - All white hairs :stoned: Pic.2 two is the top of my best plant with an 18 in single cola going. and Pic. 3 is a closeup my reveged Medical Mary. Right now of the 12 plants I have going, I don't have a clue what the yield will be, but I'm hopping for at least 3 lbs. of bud. Looks like about 2 weeks for some to be done. This is going to be one hot summer!:rasta:

ya,that is a hermie. Either you turned it hermie maybe from lack of light in the corner. If you turned it hermie, those seeds should be all female. If it was a hermie to begin with, the seeds will all be hermies too.

No way it's a hermie! It's a hybrid that hasn't stabalized into a new strain. There are NO male polin sacs in this room. This stage of hybrid is called a Runderalis.
My light in this 9 X 5 foot room has over 150,000 lumens.
2 400 hps
1 175 mercury vapor
1,800 CLR bulbs
for over 2,000 watts.

I got an idea from someone here that put white rocks in his buckets to help bounce the light. I had a bunch of those white curly things that are used for fragile stuff in shipping things. First pic shows them after a water... they float nice and stay clean. The second pic is my best of 12 ladies - 6 1/2 feet with this cola of 16 inches X 2 1/2 and swelling each day. Third pic is a close up of the the same cola. Fourth pic shows something that I didn't get in grow 2. A huge amount of leaves with trichomes all over them :stoned:

A pic of my best Cola... I don't know how long it has to go, I checked the trichomes today and there are still tons of greenish trichs. I think it will be hard for me to vap it cause I think it's soooooo pretty!

These old maid are wearing me out. I'll so glad I'm enlarging the room as It's hard to crawl around to do all this work. All that said. The first pic. is my best cola at 9 weeks of flowering. I've been using the microscope about every day now. There are more pinkish to tan thricomes now than a week ago. I have a feeling they will take between 11 and 12 weeks to finish. I'm getting I'm getting just a little impatient. The second pic is on of the sisters that I'm happy to have, but I'm not happy with it :( Pic. three is a close up of the buds, but I didn't get a very good shot of it... With 12 old maids I'm awaiting - Hurry up Damm it!

If that isn't a hermie. Then I don't know how to grow.
Believe me. That pic of the hermie bud was from a hermie.
Ruderalis is an auto-flowering strain. This has nothing to do with hermies.

The packing peanuts didn't work out. They started some weird fungus so they've been taken out.
Jdog7000 please don't take offence at what I'm saying here about a hybrid. For one, I've had dealt with hermies before and a freakin hermie displays BOTH sexes. Theses last 12 have been flowering for over 9 weeks - at no time has any of these developed any male pollen sacks. Maybe you're confusing hybrid as something that's exceptionaly good. Not the case, a hybrid is the crossing of two strains and remains a hybrid until it's stabalized and grows normaly. Then it becomes new strain. I tested out this plant for potency last night. A sample cut at 8 weeks flowering is showing great promise for an end result. Here are some pic. from today that show what the ruderalis plants are doing now. As you can see in pic. one the cola is weird, but filling in with some decent stuff as it fills in.

just curious lady v .this ruderalis strain is it not a wild strain that grows in russia some were and it has been introduced to some strians for its disease resistance and auto flowering trates.i never knew that if you crossed 2 strains and before the strain becomes stable it is known as a ruderalis.could you explian some more please.wicked looking plants by the way.intresting strains.i am also revegging a jamaican strian and 1 white russian that i have just harvested they were thebest 2 of the bunch.Any ideas to help me along as i know you have been down this road.the postman

Howdy postmandave,
This gets a bit confusing, I posted this in another thread that you commented on. The way I understand it - and I could be wrong. This is the second grow where I have crossed to different strains - One is Sativa - Red Hair, the other is from a seed I got from a friend a year ago. The seed was found in some real good herb from a medical supply store. I believe it's of the India strain. Once they were crossed the offspring can grow normal (6 of 8 grew nomal this time and two did the weird thing I understand to be a plant that went the ruderalis way. This also happened to one of 3 I grew in the first grow using these seeds.). The ones that are growing weird buds are producing less bud then normal, but the herb itself gave me a good buzz at 8 weeks of flowering. I'm going to keep growing them till I after I harvest the normal plants unless the weird ones trichomes turn amber before then.

I reworded this info from "The Cannibis Grow Bible" and am including pics showing how a Runderalis plant can look - Four of my 12 ladies are Runderalis plants. They just keep growing, so I topped them to keep them in the light. There are trichs on the leaves and will be good in a vaporizer, but I don't think they would make good tasting herb. Except the parts of the plant that have great buds going.
A hybrid is the offspring of two different strains. A strain is just a stock line with common parents. Stable strains have stable genetics traits, which means that the offspring will all be quite similar. In fact, most strains are called strains because of their uniformity in growth and less variations in the offspring. Hybrids tend to be unstable, or genetically unpredictable, because of their â??newnessâ??. A good stabilized hybrid eventually becomes a strain.
Most unstable hybrids do not find their way into the market and are found only among breeders who are experimenting with plant genetics. Seed producers tend to only produce strains in the following categories:
Pure Sativa (pure species)
Sativa (mostly Sativa species with some Indica)
Pure Indica (pure species)
Indica (mostly Indica species with some Sativa)
Indica/Sativa (50/50 cross between an Indica and a Sativa species)
Runderalis (pure species)
Runderalis is a problematic plant. It doesnâ??t produce large quantities of THC or flower like the other species. Runderalis is considered substandard by most flowers because it flowers according to age, not according to the photoperiod. That means that the Runderalis cannabis plant will flower when itâ??s mature enough to do so and this flowering action of the Runderalis is â??out of the growers handsâ?? for the most part.
All I know is come July 1st. it will have 3 to 4 lbs. for party time for the summer
