Pulling a bong properly

It was my first day back skating in like 8 months because my back wasn't very sore today and me and my friend decided to celebrate by getting really stoned. We went over to my friends house and he took out his 3 footer. It was my first time hitting a real bong and my first hit didn't have very much smoke. One of the people there said he'd pull a proper hit hit for me and I took a ton of smoke in and before I exhaled I was stoned. He told me how to do it properly but I forgot most of what he said. Can someone tell me how to pull properly so I can get hits like that again?

Go slow and let the smoke fill full and heavy before you let go of the carb/pull the stem.... you're starting a fire and trying to make it smoke as much a possible in the bong. Don't think of it as tyring to smoke weed, think of it as trying to make smoke out of a plant, that's what it is of corse.

Inhale while applying a flame to the bowl, make sure theres some weed in it too. Seriously thats about it, just hit it like any other smoking device really. I don't get how people can't hit a bong properly, I've never had a problem with it and haven't found it any different from any smoking device.

You should always inhale as much as you possible can when you smoke, I think a lot of people will stop when their lungs start to burn a little, which is why they aren't used to the smoke being so smooth from a bong and don't hit it as hard.

I think you're askking on a very simple basis, much more simple than the people on here are saying. I might be wrong.

Fill the chamber with smoke by applying flame to the bowl and inhaling. Pull out the female (the bowl part) and inhale harder, allowing the smoke from the chamber to fill your lungs. Repeat until thoroughly fucked up.

Yeah that's what I meant milking it. How do you do it? Just like normal or do you do something else?

First load it up. Then light it up BUT milk/pull/drag the bong so you arent taking a hit you are just loading the chamber basically with smoke, then once its loaded, pull the slide and blast that shit into your lungs

a normal bong youd just hit and clear but a 3 footer youd milk and then clear, if that makes sense

i had only used really small bongs before, and when i went to use the three footer over my friends house on friday, i pulled it hard for like 20 seconds and he just stared at me with his jaw dropped lol.
