mge420 you can shoot for the max yield on the plants if you bend them. this was mine 1 plant

whats up buster the way i did it was tied off the middle of the plant and anchored her to the wall. i then bent the plant to the left slowly til i heard a snap. anchored the top down to the floor then i taped the snapped part. within a week you will see the new sites taking over as the main cola, growing bigger each day. i had 17 colas growing as the main cola , it was amazing as this was my 1st grow ever. that plant was the runt of the litter. so to max out your yeild bend and tie down the plant. i didnt take clones off of her cause big bud is 1 of the hardest almost impossible to clone. when u bend the plant to the left remeber to have her go sideways not facing the floor. sideways

How smart is it to snap your plant in half?
How much would this yeild now?
just pinch the stems and bend them. the part where you pinch and soften becomes hard as a rock within a few days. they can even break to a degree and live. I saw it done on a video.

like i said tadaa it wasnt my intent to snap the plant in half, but i wrote what i wrote so when someone does bend the plant and they hear a snap they wouldnt freak out. jusst look at the picture in post # 6 and thats the way to do it , but if you do hear a snap tape it and continue with your grow. an OSG ( old school grower ) told me that and i didnt question that person about it and it turned out excellent.

My point is that the overall stress of snapping your plant in half, whether it lives or dies, is going to hinder your yield so much you would have been better off not even bending it. I would slowly train it, bending it a little more every couple days instead of doing it all at once. And I would only do this if you don't have sufficient light.

MOBAY is right about snapping the stem, ... for years, many growers would snap the growing tip purposely, the theory being the plant reacts to the 'damage' by sending growth hormones, etc to the damaged portion of the plant, triggering more vitality and blooms ... how much it helps, Im not sure, but the plants DO survive it fine ... :smokin:

How big was it when you started to flower it???

it is called supercropping, you get the plant were you want to bend it and rub the stem between your finger and thumb until it starts to bruise then bend thew plant to the desired position and thats you

I like to twist it slowly back and forth which causes less damage.
