Good question! I was wondering the same thing...I know you can tie her down, to expose the buds a bit, but I'd think pruning would be easier?
I hope someone chimes in here,
good for mothers. flowering plants are different. less leaf = less food = less bud. not to mention stress, try cutting off a toe and see how you feel.

Ok sound's like a bad idea but a couple of week's ago I over fed my plants and I had some brown tip's so I did remove about 6 leaves from each plant is this going to efect my yield
Depends on the percentage of foliage you removed. Under 5% no.

Yes very much under 5%. Sounds like I'm safe for now.
Thank You
Should I start foliage feeding?
Now I know, too...
I wouldn't foliar feed a flowering plant, but that's me. I have this thing about putting additional moisture on something potentially already mold bait.
Here's the deal...You can remove some leaves in veg and get away with it, because the flower is not in season yet, getit?...The fan leaves are your plants temperature sensors, they breath...If you screw-up and they don't get fed...those leaves will keep your plant alive. Pretty good advice up above, but to answer you Q...In the words of My great Father...Not only NO, But HELL NO...lol goodluck and leave the leaves...:smokin:
You can also try tucking the leaves if that's at all possible. That way, they won't be in the way and the plant will still have access to the nutrients stored inside of it.
The leaves need light to break down the cloroplasts, turn it into sugar, then turn that into starch and munch down.

No. In fact, with a flowering plant, the lest moisture and less humidity - the better.Quote:

I'm not talking about tucking all of them, just the ones that would be preventing light from getting down to lower growth.Quote:

FYI, leaves don't break down chloroplasts... the chlorophyll present in the chloroplasts is excited and the enegy used to drive ATP (energy) and NADPH synthesis.. If you put a plant in the dark for weeks it'll start breaking down the chlorophyll as it tries to get every bit of reserved energy.Quote:
