Does anyone watch the colbert report on comedy central? Most leaders make decisions based on facts. Bush makes facts based on decisions.
Funny how since Great Britian declassed cannabis to a class C drug, many reports of mental illnesses from cannabis is reported now, and now this! Sorry, but cannabis has never killed anyone in the history of the world and maybe because this is an extract and not the real deal.
How tricky. Put something bad in a drug, add cannabis to it and then blame the cannabis for the death. Cannabis base? What other "base" was involved?
seems like big brother is doing what he can to demonize cannabis, once again.
Cannabis doesnt kill, but cannabis based drugs do? MMMMMmmm thats weird.
dai*ma
Exactly, it obviously wasnt anything to do with the cannabis that had been extracted. Them spray's ahve allsorts in them, and i really dont see how ANY form of cannabis can lead to someone catching pnumonia (sp?)
Those people are idiots. No one will EVER die, and no one has EVER died.
Cannabis is good. FREE THE WEED
I have heard that people with AIDS who also have a low CD4 count AND a High Viral Load could get PCP, which is a pneumonocentesis,... or some other reason for a compromised immune system, like age, youth, cancer/chemo . Cases of cannabis causing this infection are unknown to me. I have never heard of any, i have just read about the possibilitites of it happening with ill people who use cannabis. Most AIDS patients actually tell us that the risk is worth it because of the many different forms of relief that the cannabis plant provides them. Toke on. :smokin:Quote:

i find this extremely funny. i don't find it funny that the woman died, that's not funny at all. what i find funny is that marijuana, for centuries upon centuries has never caused 1 death. the first time it is synthesized and put on the market, someone dies. how hilariously ironic.
first of all it makes me think, if this drug was legalized, just fucking IMAGINE what tobacco companies would put in it. i don't even want to know.
also, to blame this death on cannabis is bullshit, cannabis can't kill, it was definitely something else in the mix. makes me pissed to see that title on BBC, a news source i respect a lot. this one definitely missed its mark though.
that old woman had many thing wrong with her thats why she died! then the try to out the blame on cannabis, that bs, they just want money thats why there suing! there are some stupid fucked up poeple in this world! but whos worse the idiot lair or the gullible idiot that beleaves them?!?!
Well what ever. If she died from the cannabis drug it's obviously not 100% THC in it or w/e (which I doubt it is if it's labeled a "cannabis drug" lol. I think that there is something wrong with their drug or she died from the problems she already had.
PROPAGANDA
Whatever yo
Also notice that it has NOT yet been determined what her cause of death was. That's like saying if you eat a slice of chocolate cake and die four hours later that the cause of death MUST have been consumption of chocolate cake. There are a lot of things that cause death, especially in 69 year old women.
I work with old people and this shit seems farfetched. Old people can die from all kinds of crazy shit. This medication could have accelerated some preexisting condition or spawned an acute respritory infection. some old people have the ability to give up on life all together: ive seen them die that way.
I agree with you on the chocolate cake thing, but the article CLEARLY states she died of "accute kidney failure". I believe that one of the complications of diabetes can be kidney failure. I'm sure someone will post a link backing me up on this.Quote:

What kind of mental problems? Onset of alzheimer's perhaps?
It's clear from the article the doctor was using this woman as a guinea pig for Sativex. Just because Sativex is reported to be beneficial for MS sufferers, doesn't mean it will be good for an old woman with diabetes.
Not only should we continue to fight for leagalization, we should fight to keep the plant pure and not let the pharmaceuticals and tobacco giants poison it with additives and shit.

You'd figure that after 70 plus years of Reefer Madness that they would finally give up after knowing it doesn't work. I guess some people are too damn persistant.
