Growing in parent's residence
I've been trying to grow pot for a good while now. Everytime that I get around to doing it, something fucks up my plans. So, I was wondering.. does anyone have any ideas for me? I'm only 15, and my parents barely come in my room. But they search around it when I'm not here.. so yeah..
Once, I tried putting a plant outside my window(in the gardenish thing). It was in a plastic cup, with a good seed and good soil, but my dad threw it away because he said "it was too moist so it wouldn't grow anyways"(he's a pot head too). Of course, it was moist cause I had put it out there 15 minutes before >_<
Anyways, does anyone have any suggestions? I have a closet.. not a step-in closet though. It has this rack up at the top, with a bunch of blankets on it. I kept my soil up there for a while, while I was letting it soak in water and get cleansed.
The space between the rack and the ceiling is ~21½ inches in heighth. From side to side, it is ~32½ inches in length. Would it be possible to FULLY grow a plant in there? Or would I wind up moving it outside to let it finish growing?
Also, I've got a shitload of space underneath the rack.. I think. It's ~74 inches(I think this is right, there's so much shit in the closet I need to move if I am going to grow in there) from the rack to the floor(I have carpet btw), and ~28½ inches from the back of the closet to the closet door. Also, the rack up top only extends ~16½ inches from the back of the wall.
I hope this wasn't confusing. Anyways, could I get a light, put it on the rack(the rack is just a bunch of metal laced together) and shine down on the plant from above? I also hear you need to outline the walls with tin foil? Please help me!!
Also, do you think I could grow on my roof? :p I know it sounds insane, but would it work? I could go up there everyday.. water it.. I'm sure it would get enough sunlight, but it's about to get out of summer and everything, so I don't know if this is such a good idea. Even though all sides of my roof are slanted.. Oh well..
Anyways.. PLEASE HELP ME OUT!

Depending on whether anyone could see you on your roof, you can start the plant outside, then move it inside when the weather starts to get cold and if you've properly setted up your closet.

Hm.. so what would I need to grow inside? A fluorescent light? cause I don't know if I could get my hands on one.. there might be one around my toolshed, I dunno though.
Eh.. I'm a fool, so, WTF does a fluorescent light look like!? Are they those long skinny white lights? Or what?!

Yeah, but make sure they are labled "cool white" or "daylight". I recommend "daylight" because they contain 7% more blue light then a "cool white. If you could get compact fluorescents that would be even better.

Hell ya, I have 2 of them. They're connected to a pooltable light though.. as in the light that hangs above it. It's a big miller light thing that hangs over the pool table. I can't take it.. my parents will notice it within a day of me taking it. blahh.. I tried taking out one of the lights, but uh, it won't work without the entire structure will it?

Nope, you need a ballast (lamp) for the fluorescent tube's to work.

Hm, I might be able to convince my sister's boyfriend to take my money and go buy me a light. Will this one work?

I've never seen this model, and from what I'm guessing doesn't have a specified light spectrum. It would be better if you got a compact fluorescent because you can screw them right into your normal light socket and they produce alot of lumens.

Hey, I just found a Hallogen light.. 100 wats. Will that work?
Growing in parent's residence
Nope, they're a very inefficient source of light, crap.

Hm.. I have 2 100wats.. does that make a difference?! The only other bulbs I have are the regular soft white bulbs.. I'm going to go looking around for some other bulbs, be back in a sec..
Growing in parent's residence
Nope. Hologen lights don't have the right light spectrum, no matter how many watts you have.

Alright.. I just foun some fluorescents!! right in front of my face the entire time!! I'll check the wats in a bit, my mom just got home.. I have two of them. One is a free fluorescent light with the two little nob things at each end. and the other is smaller and connected to the same thing that the light in the poolhouse was. It has two stray wires in the back.. how the hell do I hook these things up!?
Growing in parent's residence
Well, I don't know how much is in the smaller one, but the larger one says "25W".. but on the box it said 40 somethin. The smaller one doesn't have a wats mark on it.. blah. I can measure them though, hold on..
the big one is about 47½ inches long
the small one is about 23 inches long..
how do I hook em up?

I think you got one that needs to be installed into your breaker, if it has two wires. It didn't have a plug?

Nope.. just two wires in the back, a red and black one. about 3 inches long each.
you're probably getting annoyed by now but.. WTF IS A BREAKER?!

AKA "Circuit Breaker"
You know, when your electricity goes out because you had on too many things, then you go to your basement and flip switches to turn them back on?

Haha.. I don't have a basement. I have an attic? and I think that device is in my sister's room, not sure though. How would I install it into there? Also, do you have AIM or somethin!? cause we're the only ones posting in this thread and it seems kind of pointless. If you do, my screen name is FadeToBlack89, IM me.
Growing in parent's residence
Nope, don't have it. But DON'T TRY TO WIRE IT YOURSELF!!! You'll get severely shocked!!! I think you just better buy a compact fluorecent, they cost $10-$20. They're perfect for your situation.
Growing in parent's residence
Hey I have some of these compact fluorecents' you are talking about. How decent do they work? They dont seem to go very high in watts, are they higher compared to regular bulbs? My friend said the 23 watt ones are like a 100 watt regular bulb or something.

EuLibra you should just ride your bike up to a hardware store and buy a florescent light and all the nessessary hook-ups for about $15, but growing in your rents home without there knowlege isn't really a cool thing to do.
