To Grow or Not to Grow?

Okay, so here's the deal, I have like 85 seeds, never grown before in my life, never looked after a plant before in my life, I live with my parents, and i'd clearly have to hide any amount of weed I would grow. I have a closet I could grow in, but I have 2 options ...

I got these seeds out of a kinda crappy strain of weed ...

I could give them to a guy I know who grows, and he says he'll grow them for me and I agreed to pay him for his troubles with some of my bud, but he could screw me, or we could lose touch, because I don't know him all that well ...

Or I could grow them myself, but I know I wouldn't be able to spend a lot of money on them, and it wouldn't be a proffesional grow by any means. What's the absolute minimum that I'd have to do to some plants to get a little bit of bud out of them? I'm not a seller or somebody looking for money, just wondering if I can get a small amount of bud for some quick, crappy growing?

my parents ( well, back when I was an "in home" child) would have NEVER allowed the cultivation of MJ in the house.
Seriously dude, I'd just chill, and wait until youve got a place of your own.
especally if you hide even your consumption of weed. they will flip 10X's worse if they figure out your growing.

I'm sorry to say this..

but for results, half assing anything is not the way to go.

- You're growing in your parent's house without permission. If you're under 18 and get caught, the house could be taken away or you'll be taken away from the house.. and your parents.

- If you paid your friend in bud and he got caught, who is he going to say he got the seeds from?

Just a few things to think about.

Do you have anything? Lights? Fan? How much space? ect.

Quick, crappy growing is only going to stress you out and give you poor results for your frustration and hard work.

I believe the only way to do something, is to do it with mounds and mounds of research, an open mind, and of course the proper tools.

You wouldn't steal a bike with a fish sandwich, would you?

Yeah, this is my dilemma. How long do seeds last for? I'm hoping on going to uni soon, and I could probably grow because I'll be living on my own (6 or more months away). The thing is, they're seeds from shitty weed so I don't care if they go to waste, so if I were to plant some and just treat them like a regular plant for a while would I get ANY amount of bud? I could probably get away with hiding a plant or two.

I definately agree that I should just scrap the whole idea, but if I were to plant a few seeds and treat them unproffesionally, how long would I have to wait to see a bud, or would the plant itself hold enough THC to be good enough for cooking maybe? Just trying to do what I can, you know?

Any growth is good growth. If it was bag seed and you got it to smoke then i am thinking it will be smokable if you grow it. Flowering depends on genetics and most swag is sativa. Just do your self a favor and grow organic. Even if it is not high in thc atleast it will taste good.

I highly suggest waiting until you got to college to start growing. In the 6 month period until then, just do lots and lots of research. You can actually harvest professional quality bud in your first grow with the proper research.

Oh, and dont tell any of your college buddies about the grow. The ONLY safe way to grow is when nobody knows about it.

I'm moving out in a month and that's when I plan to start growing. During that time, I have been buying books and dvd's as well as reading these boards daily. I wish to, in a month's time, be able to gather enough knowledge to create a pesudo-professional grow. Answer some questions, ask much more, and continually learn. Hopefully, in six months time, I myself will be able to help you, and I will do so gladly.

find a water source get a waterbed mattress and a portable pump and some flexitube - find a remote location (not too far from where you live unless you got a car) set up a slow drip come back weekly pull up males when they show up and in 6-8 mo buy your own home and THEN grow HYDRO

dude if u have 85 seeds why dont you just give him like 40 or something (doesnt even matter) not like youre gonna lose anything unless the seeds are from a real seedbank or you actually know the strain (not counting what you THINK you know because some dealer said yur weed was some strain or another)

yea, just plant them in random plases around a creek or river close to your house, and check on them every now and then is my only sudgestion, im growing at my house but i got premission

Honestly, you don't wanna even bother with those seeds if the bag they're out of wasn't that great. When you can get Nirvana Seed Standard, delivered from seedboutique.com for only $20 for 10 seeds, why would you not do at least that? $20 is a small price to pay to know what you're genetics are. Just give those bag seeds away, keep a few just in case you need them due to unforseen circumstances.

Oh, and I'm with everyone else. DO NOT GROW IN YOUR PARENTS' HOUSE!!! Too risky, unless you regularly consume with them, which it sounds like you don't.

Just cos the weed was crap where you got the seeds from, doesnt mean the weed you grow will br crap.
Even a Jack Herer seed can turn into schwagg if not looked after properly. Its all about care.
