2nd GO -----WhiteRhino/AK48

Ok heres the deal I will start off with 4 white rhinos and 4 ak48s. They all sprouted and its only been 2 days in the paper towel method:o

I dont want to update to much but I will do updates:o :(

Tonight I will install 2 65watt CFLs for the seedlings, which I will also put the seeds in the pots. I will probably have these lights running on 18/6 for 2 weeks or depending on the growth, then I will throw in the 400wMH for the rest of veg. I need to get some superthrive and another fan and thats about it, cause I already have everything else.:p


C you soon....... Man I will miss you guys (Mobay + Scoobie) just drop by to help out when I need it:thumbsup: I still have Puff and Mand and some new noobies to the site;)

I installed the (2)65wCFLs last night and this morning 2 popped thru the soil.... thats great to see. I need to fix my camera to take pics soon

You know I wonder if it was the heat problems that caused the bit of hermie trouble last time ?

All I can think off is what you're doing anyway, door open and fan on.

One thought though Buk, it's probably a bit silly :o. Do you have anywhere else you could grow, somewhere prehaps near fresh air or ventilation or somewhere you could adapt for growing ?

GreenMonster-- its growing good just the slow start:o just waiting now but my last grow was OK I did get a few seeds in the buds. I didnt get tons but yes i did get seeds in my buds:( The smoke was OK i would say Mids not highs.. I'll post pics sooon

Mand-- I'm keeping the Temps as good as I can but I really want to keep this damn door closed but I cant cause the heat goes crazy:( I wish I had a different area but I dont:( I have a garrage but in the summer it would get worse than my closet:( I have CFLs right now for about another week or so, that can buy me some time to figure out what to do before i throw on the MH and then HPS. I do keep the closet door open and have about 4 fans, 1exhuaus 1intake 1 onlights and 1 on the plants. I think im going to add 2 or 3 more fans inorder to keep that door closed the way I always intended to. Its a lot of work with this damn heat, I dont know y I have such a problem and I have a cool tube:( that sucks right! but my plan should work I just have to put some labor. this time around the temps are good though I didnt let it reach 109 :D like my 1st day. I'm sure I'll do good this time around thanks to you and lots of others that gave me my knowledge that I needed on my 1st grow thanks again.:dance:

how big is ur space buk? as i have similar probs with heat: closing the door is a big no-no for me as my temps would rocket too. shit man how many more fans can you have if u already got 4??? maybe u should get bigger intake, exhaust fans as they dont seem to be doing their job?! R they like pc fans (intake/exhaust) u have? get some 5 inch beeatches for intake/out and you should be ok.... but if u already have them then i have no idea!

buckdatass, I had the same brob with temp in my room i had 2 large exaust fans taking air out,but i found it didnt do much good so i got more fresh air pumped in and took 1 of the exaust fans out now i can control the temp better as more fresh air keeps temp down better and if the exaust isnt getting all thehot air out it will escape from some were and new air will keep temp down. well it works for me ,

Yeah sounds good. Yeah I am going to buy 2 more powerful fans that should do the trick... I dont have any PC fans but I will buy 1. I'm just going to try everything. I dont know about my last crop last night I tried another sample and it was a lot better dont really know y. It might be a different plant that I sampled it from or it could be that I didnt dry it enough, o well works for me....

big buk whats up with the update want to see what the ak48 / rhino look like now.

Well heres my 8 roses. I went to look back at my 1st grow pics and the same date from soil 15days the plants were alot bigger. That just tells me how much better a MH is than any other light. I dont care tho cause I should be throwing that MH in within a week:D . Also I noticed that the stems arent as strong as they were under the MH. Thats y I bent one in like 3 different places:D :D there was no stick that would hold it up because it was bent in 3 places so I was about to trash it but then I thought of the straw thing as u can see in the 1st pic and it worked. The straw held up the plant from tumbling over and now its nice and strong again:p

The 2nd pic is the (2) 65w walmart lights(11bucks each) with the bootleg fixture I made for it to hold up with the chains:D

show em buk how to grow man you make me want to come out of retirement. but i never did soil before and tc and scobbie are not here to help me so when i do , i will be talking to you.

mmm hell yeah I'm play twister with these plants on this grow... give me some tips

man just set it up like the picture and let her grow you will be amazed. thats all i did, i bent my plant late in her grow, and had to bend her twice, she was over 6ft when hung upside down.

WOOOW... Thats all you did just 2 big bends then?? just like the pic, what were ur box measurments again?

measurments of the box was 3x4, 400w hps. she was growing to tall after the 2nd bend and i was running out of space in there so i added a 125w fluo warm light in to help the 400w hps. nuggs were the size of a computer mouse.

Hello Buk :) Just a quick post whilst I have a cup of tea;)

Buk just a suggestion, to be honest I haven't a clue if it's possible or practicle in anyway :o .................. Anyway is it possible to set up some kind of small portable air conditioning unit/device, that could sit outside the growroom and put cooler air into the room maybe via a hose, something like the hose of a tumble dryer.

Like I said Buk I really haven't a clue what I'm on about, just a thought love :o

Well I went to my Walfart and no SUperthrive but I'm leaving now to get some Foxfarm stuff and the Superthrive at the hydro store. I'm going to get some Big and Tiger Bloom for flowering. I hope i dont see anything else cause those damn hydro stores are overpriced

Man what's the deal with Walmart, I haven't seen the high powered cfl's or superthrive at the Walmart stores I frequent. Maybe its a reigonal inventory thing. Anyways Buk I hope you find what you need to get this grow thing knocked out and lit up.
