What is tripping like?

Alright here it is Ive never tripped before the closes Ive come to is a 3rd plateau on DXM no visuals, some CEVs. I mean though whats it like to trip balls. Ive read and heard that shrooms are feel like getting really stoned and hallucinating. I just want to know what you feel like when tripping, so that when I do finnaly trip I know some of what to expect. Cause when Ive taken DXM Ive been sitting there thinkin O SHIT WHAT IF I START TRIPPING but maybe its cause Im at my rents house. Anyways tell me what you guys know, it ll help alot.

Alot of my friends ask me this and it's really hard to describe. But my favorite trip I've had was a Nutmeg/DXM not the most intense I just love the openess of the DXm and the wierd hallucinations mixed with the euphoria brought from nutmeg along with the stoned feeling. When my friend swung around the glowstick and the fan was making a nice cool breeze listening to uplifting music it was one of the happiest times I've had. That'll probably change when I try E next month though.

tripping... well, it all depends on what you're "tripping" on.
i don't have any experience with shrooms, myself.
BUT, i've dropped acid a couple of times. it's by far my favorite drug EVER.
it's like a TOTAL mind fuck. (well, if you get some good shit, anyway)
you're seeing all this shit, yet you know it's not real. but it looks SO fucking real it's just crazy. it's hard to explain really... like soxsuk6432 said above.
my hearing was all crazy. my vision was totally whacked. i was seeing people's head bubble up and down, like a lava lamp would do. everything on tv amazed the shit out of me. i was having all sorts of analytical thoughts over the simplest shit. i even thought i was psychic for awhile... (while tripping) my friend and i were completing each others sentences before the other could even get a few words out of their mouth. CRAZY. just CRAZY.
i loved every fucking minute of it.

Visuals aren't everything.

I've never found visuals to be as astounding as people say they are... more like subtle things that you can't usually see without psychedelics. Like rainbow halos around lights and how trees form like a fractal (Look at a bare tree with a lamp post behind it) and just stuff in greater detail... and of course floaters account for CEVs although they take different shapes (Like cogs for example) and they SOMETIMES appear with open eyes. But the state of mind you're in while experiencing these visuals account for the crazy stories about dragons and goofy shit like that. :rolleyes:

But usually Acid gets me into a funnier, ego stroking state of mind, where I can make shit appear in a way.

If you start to trip really hard you can go nto a total dream world kind of. Everytime I trip now days I go into a forested area and it's really real. When I'm there theres always a meditating dragon and he gives me wisdom it's really cool. I love it my friend said I talked to him for 30 minutes or so. He had no clue who I was talking to except I said alot about dragons.

cola really summed up what I experience while tripping. I don't see many intense visuals, but it's those little things that catch me off guard and keep me thinking about it. That's usually why I stare off into nowhere a lot of the time while tripping. That's kinda when I found out it's not too good of a drug to take while at a party. A forest is perfect to sit down and just watch the show. Don't be afraid to think about whatever creeps into your mind, as fucked up as it is. You won't have a choice on acid. My mind usually flies in a million directions it seems, and is hard to grasp at once. Other than that, no words can describe tripping. You gotta experience it.

mescaline is my favorite trip, good visuals but i can not eat enough peyote to trip any more does not effect your mind you just have visions good times seen things like lines of cartoon people with cloaks walking in lines in the sky from pyramid to pyramid

acid well good acid gives me pastel patterns like you see in a tie. walls move a bit building sway that kind or shit. mostly motion distortion and trails of rainbow light. i only got cartoon visuals once after eating a half sheet for like 5 mins. i was infront of a stage at well it was dark and most people where sleeping and i was looking at the lights that were off and they turned into rainbow streams of light and animals. very short but cool. a bit of a head ache after but not bad.

Shrooms do not effect your thinking either but and make my body feel mellow. i can see shit when i look into the clouds, but i can do that without them to its just a bit clearer with shrooms.

Tryptophins make you trip, in the plant world they are the chemicals that make auxins.

If you want to take DMT get the root itself as the pills are alot of synthetic garbage.

O I got this orange marmalaid acid once and I dont know if it was that type as I ate 11 hits that night but I could not stop laughing for about an hour. My stomach was hurting from laughing so much but for what ever reason I could not stop. Did not effect my thinking I just felt like laughing and it seemed like the thing to do for quite a while. I was in a arena before a show back in 95 and I remember there was this chick on the other side (not many people at this point) of the stadium who was laughing to. She would see me laughing and I would see her laughing and everytime we stopped, very breifly we would start laughing again. Solid laughing for about an hour. The cats I was with were not feeling my vibe and went on a long mission to get food. God damn I never laughed for so long about nothing at all. I am not one to laugh at things but I love to smile. There is a big difference

The first time I ever ate acid it was felix the cat blotter. I was 12 or 13 I think and we scored it on vacation on the board walk vacationing in Mertlye Beach. Tripped in the hotel room made a birthday card for a friend and laughed are heads off in the morning when my boys parents woke up and told us about the movie they saw the night before. I dont know what he was saying cuz I was laughing to hard but for some reason I just could not stop. His parents were in the same hotel room but we they had a bedroom and we crashed on the couch, kind of. I remember being like from now on I am only going to eat acid. It could have been cuz his parents searched his stuff on the first night and found most of are ounce of joints we rolled before the trip.
At like 4 in the morning we both saw this lady across the street picking a rose for a long time. The hotels behind her were swaying to the music. We played the Doors and Floyd. The hotel room had crazy curtains to. I could type for days on my adventures. All good times though. I would trip at night in my room on school nights when I was bored. Acid looses its effect after a while. Some day hopefully I will be able to find somthing that I can trip on without throwing up. I eat 10 flowering peyotes and all I get is increased strength and a cold feeling. I got like a five sec visual of those not worth the 200 plus dollars I paid for them but it was the night after I got out of jail for being raided so it was still good to relax with. They were waiting on my door step with a 1000 watt light and some cloning trays and other supplies after I bailed myself out.

Your question is by far too flawed, "tripping" has many definitions for every different relation. Im sorry but I cant simply answer your question.

tripping is like experiencing a part of life you never knew existed. you will think about things you';ve never though about, see things you couldnt possibly see without being on a hallucinogenic, and certain aspects to life will come together and make so much sense to you.

actually, hallucinogens are different for every person... its a fact.

and as for your comment about mushrooms.. i took 2 8ths the first time i tried them, it was a really stupid move i know. but they were small so i ate too many.. i started having suicidal thoughts and couldnt comprehend reality. i ended up in a hospital bed with a catheter and a tube that when up my nose, down my throat, and into my stomach, they pumped 3 quarts of liquid charcoal into me.. and i ended up on probation for spitting on a cop while i was tripping. i only remember thinking that life is meaningless and trying to understand reality.

mushrooms are dangerous, dispite what all you people who praise shrooms and weed cause theyre "organic" say. and hallucinogens are different for every person, it depends on your body chemistry.

You couldn't handle it and you know should have known your limits before slamming them down. Mushrooms aren't dangerous... they just aren't... if you're in danger on shrooms it's because your mind isn't equiped to handle the change...

From my experience...

Tripping is like being plunged into another dimension, where your thoughts surround you visually. So what i mean is, images you've seen before,images your mind makes up, you see vividly in front of your own eyes. Foreign colors, shapes, and 3 dimensional patterns appear, and unfold odd changes. Melting of objects, morphing of objects, shrinking, and expanding of objects simulteniously. Wood grains forming different shapes, and detailed pictures, sometime wood grains move like water across wood. You can see precise detail of all objects, and appear to look perfect.

This is my analogy of what a shroom trip is like to me... but we all know its very hard to explain such a fantastic experience.

Shrooms are a really badass trip. No hallucinations though. Vision is slightly distorted, like you fell like it's the first time you have ever seen some things, or like you have never seen them before like seeing them for the first time. When i tripped at my house i felt like i had never been in my house before. Then when I got in a car i felt like i had never been in one before. It looked very different, like the dashboard and cd player looked like the console of a spaceship. Then when we drove it felt like we were hovering above the ground. Good buzz too.

I remember one thing that happens during my trips sometimes that other people don't have is that when people talk, a speech bubble appears from they're mouth above their heads and has whatever they said in word form. It made me feel like I was in a comic book and we wanted to go and fight robbers and shit, but we then got distracted by like five planes that flew overhead with their little blinking lights and we forgot all about comics.

it really depends on the strain, I only had libs n cyans and cyans produce patterns and color disortion and somewhat confusion like the above 3 posts about the dashboard being a starship console.

Whoever says that shrooms do not effect your thinking, is not experienced in shrooms. Shrooms to me have a much more of a thought provoking, intense, and altered effect on thinking than acid and other psychedelics do. Many others agree.
Maybe you dose differently than I do, but I usually take at least an eighth of shrooms either eaten strait or coffee grinded into a fine powder, and mixed into a glass of pure, fresh squeezed lemon/grapefruit juice, and drank.

No nothing affects your thoughts more than PCP, I just expirianced it yesterday and theres no way anything else has a stronger control over your thoughts and feeling, expecially when you dont know that your tripping on PCP. God that was a scary night.

muscle relaxers- have no idea what your tripping, dont even know you are
Salvia- most intense trip you will ever have crazy other worlds while your physical body is doing somthing u dont even know or care about
LSA- very bad trip for me slight visual distortions lots of puking
Shrooms- best day of my life effects your mind/emotions alot good visuals, very cartoon like, i could see sound, the visuals and the emotional aspects are the best part about it.

can you cope with everything around you? when soem of you guys say your in a dream state... does this mean you have no idea ur in the car/room/building your in?

or is it like different parts of the trips that make you like that instead of the whole time you dont know where the fuck you are

large ammounts of 'cid and mushies are amazing, like nothing you have experienced. You really have to do it to know what its like.

piote and natural mesc. (in cactus form)...are by far the best trips. Ive dropped acid in a few differnet ways (eye,tounge,"button button") and i liked it but it seemed to...eh idk unnatural.

but cactus hallucinagins are almost as intence as acid but they feel more natural like you dont feel all sick and scaped out...you just...are

Tripping is different for everyone my man, and trips will vary every single time, not only in what you hallucinate(that's obvious) but just the general feeling, euphoria and outcome.

I've tripped many times, 95% of them positive, all different. No complaints.

What I want to know the most is what are the feelings going up. Like dose it feel like being stoned. I wanna know these so that I can expect em and not tweak out.

Just like everyone else is saying, different people experience different things. For me, on the come up of a strong hallucinogen, I feel like there is something hanging over my head. Like all hell is about to break loose. There has been a slight moment in every trip I have ever had (Shrooms, DXM, LSA, XTC all multiple times) where I felt slightly scared/apprehensive. This always lets me know i'm about to start tripping. If I just let it go and try not to think about it, 15 minutes later I am having the best time of my life.

The best advice is to just relax and let the drug do its thing. You will feel different than you have ever felt before, and I can see how that could be a little scary. Just ride it out and you'll have fun :thumbsup:
