hey, so i went blind last weekend when i was smoking.. it was about for 15 minutes or so. i was high.. but not f*cked up.. so anyways it was scary, and i was just wondering if anyone else has experienced that... oh and i wasn't coughing or anything.. i just slowly lost my vision until it was gone completely for about 15 min. and then i layed down for awhile and it slowly came back... soo yeah any input would be cool.

i remeber the first ime i toked it was in my buddystree house and he told me that you cant dye from weed (i was kinda scared lol) but he said that if you take like 666 consecutive hits you go blind. lol we were nly 12so i dont think thats gunna be very credible.
anyways i dont think its anything toworry about unless it happens everytime u toke .... when i getrealy good bud i loose vision for flashed of like 30-60 seconds wich feels like 5-10 minutes

that happened to me once, are you taking allergy medacines???that would probably do it ...or maybe you held your hits in too long lol
thats happened to me a few times but only for like 15-30 seconds at a time, i think its just from a lot of weed at one time...
Yeh thats happened to me after clearing 3 bowls consecutively, stood up and felt fine, then everything went a lil bit louder, then a lil bit brighter, then started to go black around the periphery of my vision until it took over everything I could see, and sounds were like if u taped a balloon to both ears. After I slumped on a bed, it slowly came back over the course of 5 mins, and I was off my tree, havin flashbacks of my first shroom trip, u jus pulled a whitey, sumtimes u puke, sumtimes u get all lightheaded, sumtimes u'll str8 pass out (saw a girl I knew do this and crack her head off the wall right in the middle of me talkin to her, rude bitch lol) I got the same thing a few years back aswell off of only 1/2 a spliff, was walking across the road and I couldn't see a fuckin thing, sounds were fuzzy, again it came back within 5 mins, so don't worry yourself, it probly won't happen again for a looooong time, been smokin 5 years and that shit has happened about 3 times to me.
I did some reading up on it and it said that you loose your vision when trying to hold hits in to long and it cuts off oxygen from your brain and you can loose vision anywere from 30 seconds to 10 minutes.

Well I didnt go blind when I was high but I had a hallucination that my vision was getting whipped away to the left side and I went blind but it was only for like 30 seconds.
yeh u coulda just closed your eyes without knowing.
i get black spots alot when i take big hits, and i get like im passing out but if i usually just chill for a few seconds it goes away.

yea that happened to me one time i was at the annual westport fair its pretty much a contained party with police there stopping it from being a party lol. But any way me and 2 my buddies met these 2 broads from Boston and they wanted to smoke with use so we smoked some of our dro and they had jamacian red (shit was good) and we went back in to watch the super modified sled pullers so i was watching then all of a sudden i went blind.
I could still hear but couldnt see anything and i was really trying to for a few mins and i know my eyes were open and that lasted for like 10 mins it was freaky. But it might also of been that i was drunk too so really stoned=really drunk might= sight loss i dunno but we killed one of the 1.75 liter bottle like and hour earlier before we met the girls.
I cant wait till this year cause im gunna try shrooming there itll be nuts all the rides and light and the sounds of the bigblock pullers.
You mean like your vision faded out like you totally were zoned out and everything like just slowly faded..? HELL YEAH THATS HAPPENED TO ME AND WHEN IT HAPPENS AGAIN, sheet ill let you know. i wasnt scared i was just so zoned out , i knew i wasnt blind but thats prolly why it was so fun.
Did you stand up and go blind? sometimes if your dehydrated and stand up fast you feel light headed and your vision tunnels and you can pass out or be blinded temporaraly.
Everyday.

hah. so i figured out exactly what this is and what causes it.
its called orthostatic hypotension. basically, smoking marijuana while sitting raises your blood pressure above average, and smoking while standing lowers your blood pressure. When you stand up after toking, since your blood pressure is higher than average, it drastically drops to below average. It causes dizziness, lightheadedness, and temporary loss of vision.

hmm.. last year, some chirstmas or something..we are smoking in some old garage box and just, i stand, i was looking, wtf. i had feeling, like half of my body is freezed. next i was feeling that my brain wants to be freezeed to. it was so fucking sick, before i got blind. i was screaming "wtf i'm blind i cant see enything, where the hell are you guys..." and then they took the phones out and making light for my face. (there was no light and anything) then i only saw this moblefone light, no more. then i want to got out, but some guy was front of me, i ran and kicked him. so, again,"wtf"and then i was falling right on the fucking garage door.
it was so fucking sick, blackout like. next time i woke up, some nail was injured my face near the nose so i touched this and i feel like there is fucking big injure.
ok, this was a fucking sick trip.
That would deffinetely scare me. I only time I went blind is when this girl I was playing baseball with years, years, ago(talking about when I was a kid) crack me in the skull with a bat. It was a total accident though. My vision slowly turned all white, then just went black for several minutes. I was scared shitless. I just ended up with a nasty bump on my forehead for a week or so.

Happened to me like twice. I got really dizzy too. You just gotta stay calm and sit/lay down with your eyes closed for a bit and it goes away nicely then you feel good cause it's gone. lol :rasta:
