simple question, how do you hit your weed...
well shit the poll fucked up on me...
anyways..
1. 1 good long hit
2. 2 decent sized hits
3. 3. small sized hits
4. lots (more than 3) of small hits
personally i usually take 1 long hit... but i've known people that even hit it 5 seperate times.. so i'm just curious...
and if applicable what's your reasoning for hitting it that way... if it's just "natural" or that's how you learned you need to reply to this part.
oh yea... by how you hit it, i mean do you take pauses (if so) in the middle of your hit
also decided to add a 5th option...

I usually take a nice long iht, hold it in for at least 5 seconds. Either, blow O's, French inhale or blow it out my nose. :smokin:Quote:

On a blunt, for me, it's one big hit, one tiny hit after I exhale the first one, and then, take a really big hit and pass.

Well me and my friends usually smoke at least two bowls at a time from pipes. So I have learned to take small quick hits. Back in the day I used to take BIG hits every time. I found out the hard way that too many big hits kept in too long will:
a) Burn your lungs (which I didn't feel when I was high)
and
b) Resin your lungs over so that your lungs aren't able to absorb the THC as well, which over time accumalated and stopped me from getting high.
Two decent hits the first couple of passes, then 1 hit.
1 hit then pass it to a friend if it's a bowl/bong. But if it's a joint puff puff pass. unless you get a shitty hit then you get three. Oh and if you get a shotty only one.
hmm, i guess i just suck in till it feels like i'm going to cough and then i stop, hold it for a sec, and blow it out.
sometimes i stop hitting it and i feel like i can get some more in there so i take a bit more then blow it all out.
this all happens within like 5 seconds though
i've actually had someone have the audacity to demand to hit the joint (of my weed, which i payed for, which i didn't not buy from, nor around him) after i gave him a shotgun... we were smoking and all, he asked for a shotgun and i gave it to him, then he told me "i skipped his second turn" i looked stunned for a moment, and then the only thing that could go through my head was "OHHHH HELLLL NO!"Quote:

i take a big hit, breath in a little air, then finish off with another drag off of the pipe. this is how i've seen it done from when i first started so i've done it ever since without really thinking about it.
i do all, when the joint is just fired up i take long inhales then i take decent sized hit then some small hits then lots of small hits.

I tend to keep my lighter lit too long, i even put a flame on cherries ;) (Bowls only ofcorse).
On joints or blunts i kind of do something like: pull, open mouth, pull, open mouth, big pull, then inhale, i seem to have a habbit of getting alot of smoke around my face by opening my mouth before i take my hit. Kinda weird but oh well...
i take one huge ass hit from the bong, that seems to knock me out till it comes back to me
Long hits. Long as possible. Like so long I get baked. Like so long im so stoned. So long.
in a pipe 5 shortish puffs together, then exhail. so its like one long one just with more oxygen.
I switch it, but my friends think im a weed hog, i usually take a huge ass hit, or like 3 huge ass hits each serperated by a tiny little breath then i exhale a cloud.
Or if im smokeing to myself i will take a hit after hit after hit, pass it to myself and hit it again!
only rule i have about that is, once you blow out a substantiel ammount of the hit (coughing or voluntarily) that's a hit, whether you like it or not... now if you should happen to cough when you're in the process of hitting it (unless you blow out the weed or blow water up into it) i'll let it slide a couple of times... just don't expect to come take some huge ass rip off something, blow half it out, and take fill in your lungs again.. and i'm only really notorious for smoking etiquete when no one's stoned/buzzed... if everyone's fucked up all i care about is, pass it within a reasonable ammount of time but i'm not counting, don't drop it, dont' spill the bowl, don't spill bong water, or anything for that matter and anything else i could really care less about...Quote:

i never make a big deal about etiquette when i'm smokin cuz i don't want to ruin the mood. after the high is done or the next time i meet with em i'll joke around and say they messed up but i never scold anyone or anything... thats just an asshole move i think
