Fractal Art

Here's my first piece of Fractal Art. It took me a long time to do this... I plan on doing more and more of these because they look stunning.

I like it

P.S. It'd be wise to actually click on it and see the larger one. The thing is so detailed, changing the shape or size of it at all has terrifying effects on the quality.:eek:

what is fractal art?

Fractal art is art created by a very complex math equation. You have to have a program to run the equation and help you change it unless you have years to spend on each picture...

dude, that thing is the BOMB! lol so, explain more about fractal art or just give a link lol i really wanna learn about this stuff. i bet it'd be fucking CRAZY when you're tripping!

NOTE:

Do not use this program if you have an old computer. It is very CPU intensive, especially when you're saving an image file. Even with a relatively fast computer, it can take anywhere from 1-100 hours to save one of these as an image file.

can't believe you were gonna wait 100 hours for that.... i mean it's cool.. but ... o.0 is it really worth 100 hours? and since it's cpu intensive it means you can't just run it in the back ground and go do other stuff (atleast, not the way i run my computer)

its like kinda cool, but i dont understand how to use it.

Here's what I whipped up with the basic tutorial. Cool program, Will surely make some trippy artwork with this and photoshop.

Seriously, don't even begin to judge these by the small pic in the post. Click on them to see the full-size versions. Something about cannabis.com's method of squishing them down make them blurry.

Fractals are generated by an equation using the square root of negative 1. Because it is not possible to square a negative number using real numbers we have a thing called the imiginary number: i.
