Holocaust denier jailed!

Ok, I know the holocaust was real, ive been to the holocaust museum/memorial place in DC, not that i needed that to know it was real but anyways, this guy was jailed for 3 years for denying the holocaust. He may be a douche but that seems a little rough.

Oh by the way, if your ever in DC check out the holocaust museum, they really did a good job with it, the place is eerie how little people talk in it.

he's not the only one, either. there are quite a few out there, some on trial for denying it...

i don't deny it...i see the same mechanisms in place in this country where the same thing will happen...just as it always has and always will...but you still shouldn't go to jail for speech.

You don't have to go to a museum to find out if the holocaust was real - there are plenty of survivors still alive (many live in my town), as well as soldiers that liberated the death and concentration camps. They can tell you about it. My father, now deceased, was one of those soldiers.

Half the people in the Germanic countries probably deny that it happened - this guy happens to be British, and has since changed his tune. Europe has worse things than crackpot professors to worry about right now.

The whole point that most people are DENYING about the holocaust is the amount that died... I know MANY Jewish people who have said the same thing... If 6 million Jews died, then where did the all these Jews that are living come from????
There are many FACTUAL statements made by many countries that have LOWERED the amount that were killed in the holocaust..... 6 million was well OVER-estimated.

I live close to Coney Island, which is in Brooklyn.

Another picture that I sometimes post is of Ebbits Field (below), which was the home of the Brooklyn Dodgers. I was too young to remember them when they were here.

I've only seen "The Sopranos" once, but the guy in the middle (I don't remember him) used to hang out near where I lived. He later became an actor.

So if you deny the Holocaust you go to jail but if you deny billions of years of evolution it becomes required teaching in American schools. First off I want to make it clear that I am in no way shape or form denying the Holocaust! I am however pointing out the mind blowing hypocrisy here.

Someone tell me why we can deny any other historical event, including history itself. We can declare historical events without having any proof that they happened or existed (like the entire bible and the existence of God). But if you dare question the events that took place during World War II you go to jail! Something is very disturbing about this. Why is one form of outrageous claim permitted and the other punishable by imprisonment?

At least we have the means to prove that the Holocaust took place. If someone does not believe it then show him/her the proof. If they still donâ??t believe it then we should treat that person the same way that we treat people who see proof of stolen elections, government complicity in 9/11, evolution, secret societies, Satanist cabals, etc., yet they donâ??t believe that proof. Why are Holocaust deniers the only people who have to believe the proof that is presented to them? Who set this special standard and why? Who are the people who decide which segments of the historical record must be accepted by the public? If the answers are so clear why would someone who denies the Holocaust be such a threat to society that they have be imprisoned? Who would be so concerned about these deniers? I donâ??t get it. What am I missing here?

Who care if it was 6 million or 4 million or 10 million? At this point it doesn't matter. I've met survivors, and trust me, it was real. They didn't toture and tatoo themselves for fun.

And where did the jews come from? Are you retarded? I'll explain for you. In the early 1900's there was a massive influx of RUSSIAN jews that came to the united states. They were here before the Halocost and didn't die from it.
Also, many people moved to Israel during it and didn't die. Right now, there are about 13-14 million jews in the world. In 1945, there were estimated to be roughly 11 million. If about half of those died, but more were born, estimates say there were still about 11 million jews in 1950. Why does this add up? Take a biology class. Populations grow exponentially, so a growth of 0 actually means that many, many individuals died.

The halocaust happen. Millions of people died. Six million or five million? Who knows...but who really cares. The only people who care are the ones that want to make it look like the Jews made the who thing up. But guess what, they didn't. thhe holocost happened thats for sure, millions died defenetly, it was a liberty and should never have been alowed to happen but the thing that bothers me is ,freedom of speach , 3 years man for having an opinion man right or wrong is a bit grim in my opinion

Do you even know what hearsay is???? It's an out of court statement being offered for the truth. Is admissible non-hearsay evidence even possible online? No. Everything written is a statement. Actually a statement without and assertion isnt hearsay. So here's your evidence "The Holocaust happened."

Do you believe it didn't happen? I know people thats survived it, and many people whose families were killed. If you're looking for evidence, check out a local library or I'm sure there are organizations that can set you up with survivors in your area. Just because you didn't see it doesn't mean it didn't happen. Do you deny the exsistence of WWI? What about the civil war? Have you seen evidence besides "artifacts" and "testimonials"?

Sorry if I'm getting personal, this is just a really tough issue that I feel strongly about. No hard feelings, just trying to educate:thumbsup:

Well, unless all of those films I saw in High School were faked, then yes I have seen the evidence. Also have older relatives who were there in Europe and the South Pacific. The photographic evidence of bodies being bulldozed in to pits and people waiting in line for the "showers" is there for the viewing. The Germans were very thorough in their documentation.

I've been to the nazi death camp Dachau in germany, you cant tell me that shit is something to ignore and say it didnt happen.

Yet still i dont know if you can be jailed for voicing an opinion, even if its on a subject as delicate as the holocaust. I dont know, im not sure how anyone can have a 100% decision on this matter cause im sure conflicted on it.

No1s denying that ww2 happened or that LOTS of people died, I think people want to know what are they hiding from us... yes i know what hearsay is. there was plenty of it during the nuremburg trials. how about some forensics? holocaust means genocide by fire. theres no factual evidence that the nazis burned alive 6,000,000 jews.

survivors that saw nazis killing people with guns, not burning sticks.

Holocaust means a burnt sacrifice to god... It implies that the sacrificial lamb, as it were, is already dead. Therefore, it makes sense, since Jews were probably shot or gassed or whatever, and then their remains were burnt to eliminate evidence. Although it's not really a sacrificial thing, it's still a holocaust. But that's splitting hairs :D
