do any of you belong to a neighborhood
anybody ever ran away and been on the streets or kicked out
or taken away from your parents.
from reading this websites posts and threads for like a year iv noticed that most people are pretty much all the same.
i would like to hear some stories from anyone whos had it bad growing up.

You don't have to live in a bad area, have been kicked out or taken away from your parents to have it bad. And I doubt anyone who actually has had it bad is going to talk about it here.
When I hung out at the oceanfront, by myself, I met a guy living on 17th St., from Queens, and we'd hang out right in front, next to a parking lot where a lot of homeless people, my age (at the time 22, or so) and younger, hung out, so essentially they'd hang out with us, because they were cool stoners. They just didn't want a home, anymore, and I didn't bother to ask them what happened.

I lived on the streets for a couple years,stealing food and stuff... In the summer I lived on tomato's and cucumbers from peoples gardens... It was a humble experience and makes me appreciate what I have now... :dance: :dance: :dance:

its like when the holidays come around and your a kid with no family and you see all these kids with there moms and dads all caring and having a good time its weird for someone whose never had that to imagine what it feels like.
growing up is very hard and it is even harder to do correctly when there is no guidance.im proud of myself for making it thru.i just wanna hear from others who thought they would never be where they are now.

I ran away at about 17. Got tired of hearing only about religion and not being listened to. Had several bad experiences when younger, but finally after years of self help and smoking weed I have myself together. Most of the time anyway.:dance: :stoned:
I lived under a bridge in the Bronx for a few weeks, with a homeless basehead named Norman... Well... I was homeless too, for a little while... Cops had tried to hold me down and cuff me for a good minute before my ass got loose, they were arresting me in my own home, I was so angry I just wanted to drop one of those pigs. The plan was for the cops to get me cuffed then throw me in a van and ship my ass off to Rikers (I had been previously arrested for possesion with intent, etc)... Luckily I got away, ran down the fucking stairs, opened my basement door and ran out the back way into the courtyard, I hopped a big wood fence only to realize I was in a contruction zone, so I ran across jumped the other fence and ran down the block to the riverside and ducked under a bridge with my man norman (I knew him previously, we'd be giving him a puff of our L if we was chilling under the bridge sometimes) It was definitely one of the hardest times in my but he's a cool cat, always stayed looking out for me if I dozed off, every night I stayed there i learned to sleep with one eye open... you never know what kinda base heads creep around in them parts especially durin the night... I remember waking up several times to a woman flailing around buggin on meth... bad times, indeed... But it taught me something I will never forget
Yea I am from the I.E. & know what you are talking about.I am proud of myself for the life I live now.It was hard as a kid my mom always working ,dad died when i was 11 so yea i know what ya mean.

as for living on the streets, not really once i ran from the cops and laid in a river for 6 hours, from midnight to 6 am, then walked a mile to get home covered in mud without socks, it was crazy, ive been told i "splinter celled" the cops

I never had it bad really, not until I hit high school. For some reason I think I had an invisable (to me) "kick my ass" sign on me.
I got high school, lets see, I was beat on and called names everyday. I once got hit in the head with a hammer, on purpose, so I slammed a 2 x 4 against his face, and I got suspended. Then, I got locked in the washroom for a good 4hrs.
I used a washroom in the welding/mechanics section because I couldn't even take a piss without getting a bloody nose. So I was in the shit stall, a teacher came in, left, locked the door solid behind him, and there I was. I ended up smashing a window to get out. Cut my arm in the process, and the stupid pricipal thinks I was trying to kill myself and there was something wrong with me. I said this entire city is fucked and you'd be lucky if I made it out of here today without killing someone. :D
People saying how useless, fat and retarded you are everyday, from complete strangers, kind of gets to a person after time and you start to believe it.
Then after 2 semester there, I dropped out of school because suicide was knocking on my door at least 3 times a day.
BUT, my folks did kick me out because I had a bad drinking habit then and I stole to feed my habit. It was in Feb., about -30degC outside, and all I had on was a sweater. All the homeless shelters were full, so I went to the hospital. They basically told me I couldn't stay there, not even in the waiting room, and kicked me out the door. No one helped me that night and I got a cold, grim of reality.
I ended up going home, getting punished for my actions. Like loss of trust, big time. I continued stealing from everyone to feed my booze habit until I quit well over a year ago now. :) I'm off the drink, no longer steal, and during the last 2yrs, I have built a relationship again with my folks. I apologized to them, and I finally felt so bad about everything, I completly broke down.
But anyways...that's just the tip of the iceberg and I have never told anyone my story about what happened in the bathroom. So enough already! Get out of my business you snoops!! ;) J/K

Yeah congratulations too all of you who have had hard lives, and have managed to salvage some type of life.
Well actually to all of you who have had it hard, very well done, you obviously aren't doing too badly now as you're on a computer which at one time would probably have been a luxury for you's. :)
