I like to cook a nice strip steak seasoned with garlic, oregano, tyme, and just a dash of cinnamon. Then on the side I like to make homemade augratin potatoes with garlic and parmesan cheese with a side of Cheesy Brocolli!
I like to make cereal, you pour a cup of milk over fine wheat clusters add sliced strawberries and just a dash of sugar, lol

I love cooking any meat dish and I can now make an excellent curry thanks to my dad who was taught by his asian ex-girlfriend, it is seriously good stuff (although it taked 3 hours to make from scratch)- and spicy, none of this bland nonsense, I just need to learn how to make chapatis now..........
I make pretty badass slow smoked bbq ribs. I'm also not too shappy on the grill with small meats either. My best indoor dish would prolly be stuffed manacotti (not sure how to spell and I'm too lazy to check) or biscuits and sawmill gravy.
in puerto nuevo mexico about a two hour drive from my pad i can order a big lobster tail some carne asada rice beans homemade tortillas beer tequila side of soup and salad and desert for like 15 bucks.i love mexico.its right on the water and your surround by cliffs.
I like to make steak with mushrooms, onions and a peice of bacon wrapped around it. wooo can't beat that shit.

I had an internship at a 4 stared resturaunt.. At first they didn't let me do anything else than peel potatoes.. (wankers) But then after to days or so they let me help them do more complex things.. They were VERY surprised to see my skill.. lol:) I can cook a PERFECT steak!:D Lamb is my specialty though..:)
They offered me a job, and I said no.. It was VERY stressfull..
I was planning on being a chef, but I had to let that go after that experience though..
I also had an internship on a fishing ship!:) Cooking once, and fiishing once... (not with a fishing rod though:p)
I don't think I would want to be a chef as a profession. I wouldn't want to cook for myself later, I would get sick of it. The girls love guys that can cook as well. Big plus in their book.
Mmmmm, when i be cookin i gotta be high or else it wont be the same for i never cook at all when sober...supose thats a bad habit but w/e. I like making breads the best, that way if you need bread you have some, ya kno? Like banana nut bread and honey buscuts with butter and jam MMMMMM!!! :D

I love to cook, like Powder Puff I also cooked in a resturaunt and at one point in my life I thought about going to school to become a chef. It's grueling work though, with long, long hours. I can certainly see why Powder Puff opted out. Plus there's a lot of competition. Top chefs can make a really nice living but for every one chef making the big bucks there's 100 barely getting by.
Now I do about 95% of the cooking in my house. My wife isn't a bad cook but she doesn't really enjoy doing it like I do so it gets left to me. Mostly I do a lot of Asian Fusion style of cooking. A lot of Chinese, some Thai, and Vietnamese. I like to cook Italian too. Lately I've been coming up with a lot of my own dishes. One of my favorites is a chicken roulade stuffed with cheese, basil, and roasted red pepper topped with a roasted red pepper sauce. Tastes great and looks good on a plate too if presented right.
Yeah.. A chef's life can be a drag.. lol

We have a really nice meat shop here that sells big, fat burgers. Sooooo damn good. Like, 6 McDicks burgers into one. Has chopped onions in the ground up meat, and I grill it using regular Bullseye, or Honey Garlic sometimes for a sweeter taste.
I can grill a really good Salmon, fresh water I usually get, which isn't very often becuase of the price, but I grill it nice and slow, using a lemon spice. That's it! No sauces or nothing.
I like keeping the sauces/spices simple(ish). I find putting too much flavour on there takes away the natrual flavour of the dead animal :D

Yeah me too Nochowder, I prefer to use fresh ginger/garlic/chillies & herbs rather than thick, processed sauces, they are too overpowering, fresh ingredients are best and garlic/ginger are very good for you :thumbsup:
Homemade burgers, mmmmmmmmmm *mouth watering*
I use to cook at a pretty good resturaunt some time ago, and showed me how to make the BEST banana split. It will make your knees weak :)
Banana split:
1 banana
1 Tablespoon of sugar
1 Tablespoon of brown sugar
a Dash of cinnamin (like a pinch worth)
1 tablespoon of butter
Southern comfort
Vanilla Ice Cream
Take the brown sugar, white sugar, cinn., and *melted* butter, mix up well, put in a saucepan at med. temp.
Take the banana, cut in half, then stand them up vertical, and cut in half again.
Put bananas in saucepan with the sugar and stuff, get the bananas covered in the sugars (which should now be a sweet, caramal colored sauce) and let it heat for about 2-5minmin.
Now, the fun part. Put about 2 small splashes of Southern Comfort. About, a shot glass full. Do it in small spurts though, as it is flammable and it will flame up just a little bit (no more than 1ft high flame, maybe lower)
Continue to heat it up, get it all mixed in really well.
Take some vanilla icecream, pout the sauce over the ice cream and put the bananas in with it :)
I use to get this for free every night I worked. We'd get all baked up and munch out on everything in that kitchen. :p

Hey Sensi, have you ever tried Jamaican Jerk? If you like spicy food it's fantastic. I have a recipe for a Jerk sauce that you put on chicken that is truly awesome. I don't remember the actual recipe right now but basically you put a bunch of fresh jalapenos, some white and green onions, some allspice, some cloves, sugar, and some salt into a blender and blend into a paste. Rub it on some chicken a few hours, or overnight, and then grill it up. The sweetness of the sugar, allspice, and cloves gives a really interesting contract to the spicy jalapenos and onions and gives it a really unique flavor. Not too mention the fact that if its from Jamaica you know it must go good with the ganj:stoned:Quote:

I make ass kicking soups and my favorite is a seafood chowder that I am still working on and it changes a bit every time I make it. Anything I make on the grill (charcoal, not gas) is awesome if I do say so myself. My newest thing is making sushi although I've only done it once. I also make a great variation on fried rice...sort of a breakfast version with Jimmy Dean sausage.

Maryland Crab Cakes!:thumbsup:
Add the following to each pound of FRESH, CLEANED lump or backfin crabmeat:
1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs (or regular bread crumbs with some italian seasoning - oregano, cilantro, garlic powder, etc.)
2 tablespoons mayonaise
1 1/2 teaspoons mustard
1 beaten egg
2 teaspoons worchestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
Mix by hand and don't break up the crab chunks too much, form into patties, and fry in butter or oil over medium heat until golden brown.
Each pound = around 6 medium sized crab cakes, serve with tartar and/or cocktail sauce.
Tartar Sauce:
1 cups mayonnaise
2 pods garlic
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 dill pickle -- (6" long)
1/2 small onion
Blend all ingredients in blender.
Cocktail Sauce:
1/2 cup bottled chili sauce
4 tablespoons lemon juice
4 tablespoons thinly sliced green onion
2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
4 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
Several dashes bottled hot pepper sauce
Combine in a mixing bowl.

i have a keen sense of taste when it comes to preparing and eating food. i love to mix things up a bit--marinades, herbs, vinegars, oils. you can taste the desired results from just thinking about it. utilizing this skill truly hieghtens my ability to cook. it takes practice though. experience is knowing without thinking.
