what type of bong is better?

what type of bong do i buy? how big? how long? how do you use it? do you let the stick that holds the weed touch the water? what are screens? what are they used for? what else besides a bong will i need? how do you clean the bong? is a bong with a box better than a bong without? how fast do they come? if i buy a smoking kit online, is it a bust? (like with roaches, a lighter, screens, etc...) if i buy rolling kits online are they a bust? how many stash boxes/hide boxes should i get? i have 4 other people living with me, cuz i live with my parents. what do i do? how do i get a joint? no one i knows will tell me.

hmm neat. You dont really need to buy a bong for your first time smoking just buy a small glass piece. dont worry about cleaning it for a while until some resin(black nasty stuff) builds up on the inside of the pipe. As for finding some weed just ask the kids at school that you know or suspect are stoners and start talkin with them and hangin out and u will be able to find some bud.

Yes you must let the water touch the stem. The stem has to be a few inches underwater. Thats how a bong works. I only have a pipe, works great for me.

I prefer a 1 footer to get anybody started.

Smaller bongs are more portable, but with bigger bongs the smoke has more time to cool before you inhale it, so your hits are smoother. I would say just don't go *too* small - if you want a really portable piece you'd be best getting a pipe rather than a bong. As for cleaning...I clean with my glass bong with surgical spirit and salt - pour it in, cover the holes and shake it up. Dunno if you'd use a different method to clean bongs made of different materials. I think some of the acrylic ones come apart for easy cleaning.

I dunno if you already bought something but bubblers are great, as small as a pipe and hits smooth like a bong.

Newbie... here are some snapshots of my bubbler. Piked it up for $50 at a local head shop. You can clean any glass peice by submerging it into water and bringing it to a boil for several minutes. It is very important that you not heat the water then put the peice in, the huge temperature shift will cause the glass to shatter. So, put in whatever peice you want to clean beforehand. You fill it up with enough water to drown the stem about 2cm and you smoke it. Do you see the little hole located on the bowl part of the bubbler? That's called a carb, you'll find it on all pipes/bongs/bubblers. The use of this little guy is to charge the hits, you hold your finger on it and inhale the smoke, then remove pressure and continue sucking to clear the chamber of any leftover smoke. Oh and then you pass it to the left hand side :rasta: :thumbsup:

Well, I bought mine at a headshop, and also had to haggle it down to $50 for an hour with some Idian guy named Abdul :D . The sticker price was actually $80.
