One thing that erks me is people saying that they smoke an illegal drug called saliva. Salvia is by no means illegal salvia is from the sage family so if u smoke salvia divanorum the salvia that makes u high your not smoking something illegal you are smoking an herb thats like pot but the effects last only so long and your smoking a form of sage thank you for the clarification if any of you would like to argue this fact please do so but do your research first
ive never talked to anyone whos thoguht salvia was illegal but whatevs

yeah ive never in my life heard of anyone calling it an illegal drug, bragging that they smoke it, and just because soemthings illegal doesnt mean its not a herb..... and no one hear is that stupid but thats cool if u wanna tell everyone anyway it helps us learn when we hear things twice

I was under the impression that you chew it? Could someone clear this up for me, if theres diffrent types of salvia that can be smoked, and others chewed. Sorry if I sound newbish, I've just never bothered to look into the too deeply.
Ok chris, ur right about the fact that it is legal in most parts of the world, except australia, they banned it, and from what ive been hearing, atleast in Canada, there trying to take measures to get it out of headshops but not make it completely illegal, the thing i disagree is that salvia is nothing, and i repeat, nothing like smoking pot, ive been smoking pot for almsot 10 years, and i picked up a gram of 10x salvia extract about a year or so ago, and its nothing like pot, nothing at all. I dont know what ur smoking , i smoked the 10x, and it only took on toke and i was out of this world, i melted into my friends couch the first time, they second time and turned in a large vine and started rapping around my friends wall and under his mattress on his bed . It only last no more than 5 minutes i was told, the third time i was theodore the train(dont ask me its supposed to be theodore tugboat, that kids show, but somehow i was a train with theodore face), and i was, i hyad a bunch of other trips but needless to say, its never ever been like pot, first of all, u need a high temp to burn the salvinorum, 2nd, u need to hold ur toke in for 20-30 seconds, and u dont do that with pot, and if u dont put down that bong within the time u exhale, then ur gonna drop it cause it takes effect almost instanously. It feels like ur being forced into the ground then all hell breaks lose...lol. I dont want u to take this the wrong way man, i can just see a bunch of lil niave highschool kids going, hey man, its like pot we gotta try it, and then have them completely blown away by its effects. Its by fare the most potent hallucinogen ive ever tried, havent tried acid though but i here its similiar, just acid is like 6-8 hours of trippin instead of 3-5 minutes. So take heed with salvia, its quite the experience, and ur right dude, dont do it a a party, do it at a controlled environment with an onlooker to make sure u try and not get and move around and hurt urself. anyways figured id just clear some shit up

Of, You guys need to now the why its legal and not legal, but how it is "illegal" , basically it is sold as a legal esprit or incents.... for "spiritual purposes".... second if you smoke enough of it, you will likely hallucinate although it has almsot no effect on a number of people it gives some people the tripiest5-15 minutes of their life.... albeit salvia-d leaves would need to be smoked so fast and for so long its almost literlaly impossible to trip off it. Now get some of teh 10x, 20x or even more potent extract and you can be F*****& up really bad, do it around no more then a few people and hopefully around a sitter incase you start a bad trip, Some people like it some people do not, but you can go to the store and legally but it if you can find a place that sells it.... Use with care.

explain to them that salvia is legal to posess however smoking it is not tolerated if you are caught smoking salvia the cop will, and can take it away from you so this kind of defeats the whole "salvia is legal so you can smoke it anywhere" thing

Chris I am under the impression that you have NO IDEA what you are talking about. The only things that you mentioned that was correct were that it is legal and that you should not do it in a room of crowded people.
However your point about why you should not do it in a room of crowded people is completely incorrect.
The reason for not doing salvia in a busy location is because it TRIPS YOU OUT. Like any drug that makes you trip(shrooms, acid, etc.) it is not smart to do at a party or around a bunch of people you dont know because you more than likely will have a bad trip.
Now, where you are really wrong, salvia is NOTHING at all like pot. There are no ifs ands or buts about it, they do completely different things, it doesnt matter who you are. Salvia gives you an extremely strong trip and even can cause hallucinations.
I have been doing Salvia around 4 years. Sometimes a few beers can take that scary edge off of the experience. I have seen drunk people do it and have a great time with a full level 5 and when they came down they were sober. I have seen a lot of people do it at parties and have fun. I prefer to do it at home though and not often either.
Man, Chris, do you know what extract you've been smoking? It go's all the way up to 80x. I ain't never tried that strong an extract and i don't think i ever will.
Salvia is like a complete loss of perception of reality, you wouldn't be able to smoke it at a party and continue to keep on smoking it. (although i know a guy who smokes the stuff like it was pot).
Your friends who smoked it at that party must have had no clue what they we're doing with it, it only takes one small toke to fuck up your world. I'd do it more often if it didn't make my pipes smell like dead fish.

I like the smell of salvia, I smoke it like pot now that I have quit smoking pot.
It does fuck with my mind though. I will notice that I will see little things, things that aren't there, while I am in everyday situations. And it spooks me, for instance, when riding my bike I jumped and skidded and fell because I though somebody was in front of me. Nobody was there :(

yea salvia is definately not illegal. i recently baught a gram of 20x extract for 40 bucks from a headshop. i tried a little bit but im gonna wait to try its full effects
