Free Seeds from Nirvana?

About a year ago me and my buddy ordered some Northern Light seeds from Gypsy Nirvana... the NL seeds came, and along with them came an extra bag of Black Domina seeds. They were complimentary, but they sell for like $120 bucks on the website.

Anyway, I am thinking that they may be duds and thats why they sent them. Out of ten seeds I have attempted to germinate 7 of them, all with 0 successes.

SO:
a) has anyone gotten a complimentary bag of seeds like this before, and if so were they duds?
and
b) has anyone grown black domina before that could suggest some alternate methods for germination (do they need higher temps? more moisture? etc...)

I've been getting a free Durban Poison cross from them, and it seems to be a cheap strain. I mixed my seeds up so I don't know if any of them germinated. But it seems highly likely that the free seeds are old, especially if they're some really expensive strain.

Gypsy Nirvana is awesome! 7 Days. Awesome packing. They used a plastic clip. To hide from the xray. Customs, suck. Haha. Mine was (007 top secret freebie mix) So what ever the hell it is ill keep you posted. Or are they old seeds not worth fucking with. Anyway im exited rockbud A+ yeah.

I've germinated seeds that were several years old, lying in a dresser drawer ... this is a very determined plant species ... can survive just about anything :smokin:

Dialtone420, it's very clever to tell publicly on the website the way they use to hide the seeds. Very clever !

Yes, could a mod please delete that post? Or could you edit the post so that that's not included? That's a very dangerous thing to post. We never ever post on here how seeds are hidden during mailing.

Openly revealing the manner in which your seeds were mailed to you is a big no-no...that is unless you want LEO to know all methods used.

The freebies are not old stock...on the contraire.

The Durban Skunk is from Sam the Skunkman (originator of Skunk #1)
The 007 Freebie Mix is the newest mix put together from Gypsy.
The Black Domina were given away quite some time ago, but when I germed mine they all popped above ground.

Perhaps it is the method?...not sure just a possability.

Here is a quick method to try for seed germination.

Soak in water until they sink. Take seeds and place inbetween dampened sheets of paper towel. Place towel inside a ziplock baggie, place baggie inside of a magazine and place in a warm area.

After being in the paper towel for 12 hours open it and give the seeds some fresh air. 12 hours later you should start to see your seeds crack open. Within another 12 hours most all of your seeds should be cracked and showing signs of their taproot.

If a seed has not germenated by this point, just put it back in and continue to check on it every 12 hours. Using this method, and keeping the towel damp (not wet) will give you a very high percentage of "workable" seed.

I have germed seeds that were saved from 83' using this method.

I purchased some blueberry, was sent the christmass freebee of two 10 packs. 1 was skunk #1 x Haze, the other was a strain called fruitbowl. 100 % germinated and are 5 weeks old. Looking good!

Do you realize that i used to be a federal security screener at the airport. I took xrays all day. Everybody knows guys, most xrayers just dont care, to look in every parcel that has a semi dense object is wasting your time. They have dogs and programs to pick out the really bad stuff. WOW, you all need to be nice ...you IP number is the number that anyone can trace you with ....if your on dial up it changes everytime you dial up ...lol if your on cable of anykind like DSL or any broad band connection the number stays with you ... you need to use a proxy on here, if you didnt know what an IP is a proxy is like nothing you will understand..lol Any way Leo has bigger fish to try to catch ....us peons on here unless you have 6000 posts and pics all over no worries...lol But if your real freaked out about all this ...just read and get info dont post anything...lol
