I can't believe with all the newbs blowing up the board asking about what to use, this went un-noticed...I guess it is time for me to take-off on another sabbatical...lw
You're not leaving again, are you?? That sabbatical, what do you mean about it?
I think that's very complex.. But then again, I stoned.. lol :p
This would be nice for people with a little more experience than a newbie.. Seriously..
But, thank's anyway Latewood!: )
not at all!!! It is what newbie's should be reading...Hell, it takes you right to the source of info on these nutrient co's products! Then you do some research. lw
Ok.. Then it might be only me.. lol
I just can't understand that.. lol.. (still stoned)
But, it's sad that the newbies don't check this out, after all, it IS quality info!:)
Hey LW, i know this is off topic, but i was wondering if a 430w Son Agro HPS bulb would work in a 400w HPS ballast.
Thanks
-SS
It might work then again it might explode all over you or your ladies. Its not really worth the risk. Always stick with a bulb the EXACT same wattage as your ballast :rasta:
What's up Krippy...I thought you were gone. Oh, the question, I concur...SCREAMING PIECES OF 1000 DEGREE GLASS! not good...
I think some people try that, and it might even work, but I always try to match bulb w/ballast...safe and efficient.lw
hey latewood u have to start some how better to ask someone who grew before than take guessing gamesbut anyway what u think about these nutes for flowering:rasta:Quote:

Not sure but 55% or 46% of phostphate seems like a crapload more than you need.
The nute percentages are starting to confuse me because before people used to say to get 20-20-20. I use a 19-31-17. And the advanced nutrients and other shit like that is like 3-2-0 or somewhere down there.
Goodluck <3
hey LW, i figured fuck it, if it breaks it breaks. And........IM VERY GLAD I DID. Nothing happend, it is a whole lot brighter than the normal 400w hps and i gues it has 30% more blue spectram light than the average 400w hps bulb, so it will make bigger, denser buds.
So , it all worked out. Thanks for your reply though

HEY L-W are there any of those products/brands that you would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend over the other:thumbsup:
Latewood.. this site is effing fantastic. I'll definitely use this for my next grow. I appreciate it :D
yeah thank a lot lw
teaching myself how to grow correctly thanx to peeps like yourself
Glad you guy's enjoyed...BDA...
I use Advanced Nutrients products; 3-part, Voodoo Juice, Bud Blood, Big bud,
Overdrive, and final phase/flush
Instead of AN's B-52 and Carboload......................................... ......
I use Botanicare products: Liquid Karma and Sweet; As well as Calmag+ and
Pure blend pro...
I use the pure blend, LK, CM+, and Sweet(carb synth)...all organic by the way
for my hydro tomato's and peppers...great stuff...The local Hydrofarmer...1442 tomato sites, laughed when I told him I was going to grow tom's inside...Well I have 3-4 little tom's and a bunch of flower's...plants are thriving.
so if you want to grow veggies, I say go Botanicare...
I love My AN chem nutes though. Voodoo is Organic. As well as BB and BB, I believe(I will check) and Overdrive and final phase are chem...
Hope this answered you Q.lw
HELL yeah.. Thanks I will try to do this hopefully I wont fail and mess it all up:o
I started with AN 3-part, and Liquid Karma...add calmag+...this recipe alone will grow nice healthy plants, in all mediums. Remember simplicity and consistency is the most important aspect of getting a fine finished crop. Imho.lw
And, Remember, When using ROwater these pro nutes usually balance your ph, so you have minimal need for ph up/down:thumbsup:
Bumpy:clap:
thanks, bda...Hell, I enjoyed going through this again.
Perhaps the powers that be could stick this thread somewhere where people in need can find it.
hint, hint or not the thread, but the link...huh Z, D, R?
have you ever used house and garden nutes?
hey humboldt-i used to use the ho and garden. the guys at the grow store were pushin it really hard so i decided to try it. i quit shortly after. my girls just didn'y really respond well to it, so i changed to cuting edge. now, there is just as big possibility that i was doin something wrong as it bein ho and garden's fault-but i just switched to something i knew worked and the ladies resonded great!!! that was the proof i needed. the more i checked into the H&G the more i learned the reviews of it were mediocre. you'd think the guys at the store were workin for H&G??? where you at in humboldt. i'm up north of arcata.:rasta:
Here is a little "tidbit" of INFO'...You can interchange Advanced Nutrients 3-part's w/ General Hydroponics #-part. since I am confident that they are the same product;
The last time I got a gallon of Bloom I got the GH Bloom.
I have always used AN 3-part. I still have AN-micro, and grow. I will probably never run out of grow, because i veg only a couple weeks, or only a couple seedlings at a time.
micro on the other hand is running low, and when I run out I will probably just buy the cheaper GH gallon of micro.
I just thought this might clear up 3-part differences for you, and/or save some of you folks, a BUCK. So I hope this helps. lw
another note. I use the same recipe for my potted soil plants, but if anything, I err on the side of less nutes in soil,
i.e.; I nute, then water 2wice, then nute, then water 2wice (every 2-3 days...according to soil dryness).
I could probably nute harder, but I lost a real pretty plant, right at the end, due to NUTEBURN...later lw
