First Acid Experience - Eyes Opened.

LONG story, but very important to some of you mind explorers.

Hey all. to start this off, ive only done weed and small amounts of salvia, never enough to get the full blown trip though. but last night, i heard there was a guy with acid. i couldnt let this opportunity pass me. i read about it somewhat, then told him to put 2 hits on a sugar cube.

I was keeping in mind that this was going to be intense, a journey, and a personal challenge/quest. a test of the mind and how strong i am.

I took the 2 hits hoping to explore my mind and nature while listening to moving music. such as The Doors and stuff. Well, i had 2 friends with me, one took 2 hits like i did, and the other took a mind blowing 4.

We all took them in a sober friends basement and after 20 minutes, we were all intensly tripping. The friend who took 4 hits, was acting very strange. And was turning into a buzz kill, which was a potential bad trip waiting to happen.

In the basement, the walls turned into an egyptian pyramid with hyroglyphics all over them. The walls whispered to me, they were sorry that they were holding me in. the lights got brighter, and flashed while the rooms turned colors. A girl was in the basement, and her eye lashes grew wildly out and swirled around the room. and the floor turned into nothingness.

there was no more acting normal, as the trip was intense and my mind felt free to roam

After a couple hours, we left the friends basement and went outside to explore, at this moment i was peaking on my trip. I layed on the grass and looked up at the sky.. The stars glowed, and swirled around, and as they did, millions of colors filled the night sky and its all i cared about. I took a walk down the road, but was very unhappy to be in the city. I felt like i needed to be alone with nature, no roads, lights, or anything. and civilization pissed me off because there was no escape.

Well, to tell you about my prefrence, i use weed, and hallucinigens to exlpore and expand my understanding, and my mind. The rest of my friends do it to get fucked up, and get as fucked up as the possibly can.

All my friends decided it would be a good idea to rent a hotel room and throw a party.. Which was a terrible idea to me because i didnt want to get as fucked up as i could, i wanted to explore the unknown and feel my trip to the fullest.

well we all piled into the car, (a sober person driving) and thats when i started to realize that i was beginning to have a bad trip because the guy who took 4 hits of acid was screaming whatever popped into his mind, and it scared me. - as acid distorts reality and your thinking.

We got to the hotel party, and the second i got in there, i wanted to leave... so eventually i wound up at this girls house, - they were all sober except me who was staring into plants and finally enjoying my trip.

now anyone whos done acid, knows how amazing the visuals really are. - you can see unbelievable motion trails - like a girl threw a pair of sunglasses to me and it looked like a big rainbow. then she swung her arms in a circle and i could see every millisecond of motion - completely unbelieveable.

eventually i decided to see the effects of weed while on acid, so i smoked some hydro out back. then layed down in the darkness. it somewhat enhanced the acid effects, but i felt the negative effects of weed - anxiety, depression, and stuff like that. which i usually dont feel when i just smoke weed by itself.

i realized pleanty of things - but the most important thing that i realized, is this - drugs have shaped society as we know it. drugs are responsible for trends, wars, and life.

and suddenly, i had a moment of clarity in my head . - i realized that i never want to do drugs recreationally anymore. I wanted to explore the effects they offered, i wanted to explore my mind, and i realized that when im by myself, nothing can go wrong, and nothing negative can happen. i realized that when i do it to get fucked up, it just clouds my perception and i end up being somewhat unhappy about just driving around and smoking all the time. and i feel very enlightened and happy with this. I could and can control anything going on with me, but i realized i couldnt influence others into doing what i thought was right .

im very very happy that i had this experience. and now that i know the truth, my truth, ill be buying 2 hits and taking them in the daytime, and walk around a nature preserve away from civilization. just me, my ipod, and my will to obtain the unknown.

Wow man, good for you. I've had a couple trips like that, and it really is the most fullfilling thing, at least for me. I always have a lot of questions about anything and everything dealing with life, and am searching for something. Most of the time I am trapped in a box so to speak, but acid lets me hop outta the box and roam for those answers. I too LOVE nature while tripping. The silence of nature and all its creatures plus the stars and moon make tripping the best. Glad you had a good time and learned something about yourself.

wow, you make acid sound sooooooo goood. i havent tried it yet, but hope to in the future.

Nuthin beats the ecstasy of re-awakening, and when in nature the effects seem to just really intensify, all your boundaries drift away, and you look at the huge spaces around you, the air filled with oscillating kaleidoscopes and mazatec patterns, and you forget everything you've ever experienced in the past, thoughts of the future fizzle away, and you are just left in the here and now, looking out of dilated pupils, inside wide curious eyes, realizing you have no idea how to control whats goin on, but at the same time completely accepting that the things that are out of ure control are not out of control, and you just float in a sea of perception, feeling the lights that enter your eyes, seeing and feeling sounds behind closed eyelids, humbled beyond belief and utterly fucking amazed that you can somehow determine your surroundings like this, regardless of whether a chemical induced it. If you ever have an intense psychedelic experience you can never look at the world in the same manner, because of the way in which these drugs allow you to delve and explore the things that are your only connection to existance, and they appear totally different, the same but determined by the mind in an alternative manner, like nothing you have ever seen before, but with an air of familiarity and comfort which will baffle you even more, if you dare try and interpret it through words. Feeling your utter insignificance, but accepting it, actually feeling greatful for it. The experience of psychedelics can't be put in to words, words can't even hint at it. One trip you may be writhing around covered in a cold layer of sweat, confused, heart erupting with the fear of apprehension, while the next week could be spent waving ure arms ecstatically about in a moment of clarity, smile from ear to ear, from the same fucking chemical, and it will be your doing which way you're gonna go. Strange that.

the feeling you have when your tripping is - you are finally exploring the unknown and solving lifes riddles. and you just know. but you snap out of it. still curious, but alot more the wiser.

im not sure if you can attain such levels of a trance and exploration on shrooms, but on my acid trip, i unlocked a door.

You, had some good words justinsane. I have never had a acid trip as powerful as you did, but the first time i tripped I was chilling iin the rain for some time and enjoyed my surroundings. The next time, I was with a friend and wewalked around a golf course and smoked and jsut looked at shit, it was great.

Then one time, I tripped on some very strong research chemical and saw visuals and hallucinations liek you described earliar. I hope to reach a stage like that when taking mushrooms. You seem to have got some very fresh and clean acid. Post another trip in the future.

But I took the psilocybe cubes for my first time, think about 20g fresh, in the middle of the country, and was taken completely by surprise, was expecting a kind of stoned/drunk happy feel, what I got was a mad trip, not as intense as the blue meanies, the 5g blue meanies were comparable to mimosa hostilis, but mimosa was more colourful, intricate and detailed. But there have been other times where I've took shrooms (cubensis) and I get no visuals, just improved thinking ability, increased appreciation of music and mild euphoria, like being very very stoned, without feeling tired, which is what most ppl seem to associate shrooms with.

Justin you should check out peyote and peruvian torch, fucking excellent trip, and would be great to take and stroll through a nature reserve/national park (except if you experience nausea, but you do have 12 hours :D)

actually, last year i attempted to grow peruvian torch cacti, but i didnt research the growing techniques well enough for it to survive.

i have yet to try mushrooms - very hard to find this time of year i guess.

as i re-cap on my trip, i remembered a few things while i was laying in the bed in the darkness ready to go to sleep.

I was laying still on the bed, just staring into the darkness, i had my ipod playing The Doors - The End and the sound was more detailed than id ever heard before, i could hear the echos, i felt as if Jim was singing right in front of me.

As i stared up, i saw many patterns, like colorful dragons swirling around in the air. Then, out of no where, a firework of colors exploded. - I connected this to my soul , or life force, blinking and dancing in front of me. Free as a bird, able to do whatever it wanted to do.. it was then when i felt complete freedom and happiness.

Wow, that sounds really amazing. I've got to look into this Acid stuff. I have smoked plenty of marijuana before, inducing some very thought provoking / life changing experiences. I have also done Salvia Extract before, but it wasn't very good. I felt very empty, and it didn't leave me fulfilled. I will do some research on Acid and if there's anything interesting I'll post it here.

yeah make sure you research any psychedelics before you try them, as you never really know what to expect.

also to note: before i tried acid, the rumors i heard of it scared the hell out of me. but look it up on erowid, you'll be calmed to know that its not dangerous unless a very high dose.

Yah, laying down after a LONGG night of tripping is wild as hell. you lay your head down, and it just sinks and sinks into the pillow. Usually at that point, I am ready for it to be over, but after I tripped a couple times I became used to the sinking feeling, almost like I was on a boat out at see trying to sleep.

i tried smoking weed to make me tired, but i had some hydro, which doesnt make me tired after the comedown....

i was almost wishing i had some shwag to knock me out.

while acid will have you fucked up and shitfaced, its best feature is when you finally understand things. the theories you come up with are amazing. and i wouldnt want to trip at a party either. i didnt like tripping around a shit load of people, but being with a handful of friends is a-ok.

Yah I always have to smoke a shit load just to even begin to feel tired. Almost like making myself fall asleep. I usually just watch Tv until I sleep, like I remember my first trip I ended up watching the whole first season of that 70's show.

I'ts good to see that you have embraced the teaching potential of halucinogens.
In an interview with Dr. Stanislov Grof, Albert Hoffman(The man who discovered LSD and whose famous bike ride home inspired my avatar) said that he was dissapointed by all the hippie kids in the 60's who just took acid to get high, because it had such potntial for more beneficial applications, namely in phsycotherapy.
I came to the same realization that the "party scene" is not a good enviornment for acid or shrooms IMO, when I was on a mountainside at a bonfire with like 40 other people only three of which I knew. Looking back I realize that I should have left the scene and wandered off into the trees to find a better trip, but I didn't want to abandon my friends who were tripping as well.
In any case I'm glad to see that there are others who realize the true potential of there sacred substances.

The truth of acid and me that night was this - i wanted to be with the 2 other people who were tripping . We were all experiencing the same things, and i wanted it to be somewhat of a "tribal" experience with these 2 friends of mine. I wanted to explore everything instead of doing what everyone else was doing on a friday night,..

i was finally outside the box, and wanted to venture as far away from it as possible while i could.

i have easy access to getting quality acid.. i just don't have the time and place to do it :( my parents are never out of the house for more than 12 hours at a time because of their schedules it sucks :(

i cannot wait until i get acid and can unlock my own door, i have done esctacy and shrooms, and both have given me mind blowing results.

Im thinking of eating an once of shrooms for mind exploring purposes. Like ill be walking through forests and fields all day with 3 of my best friends (so i dont get lost or hurt) and ill be able to see the full beauty of nature that only mushrooms let you see

Good story, sounds like you had a very fulfilling trip. I know what you mean. Near the ned of last year I had 2 weeknds where I got totally wasted on ketamine and (not together lol although that would be good for a disasociative experience). By the end of it I finally understood that life doesnt revolve around drugs and that they are there recreationally. The more you get on with your life, the more you enjoy drugs when you do them.

My perspective changes evry tiem I do drugs. The more extreme the drug is the more extreme the perspective change is. I really like acid for this reason. You approach all your problems and are able to answer them with a refreshed mind.
I find if you have a good friend to trip with then there should be no bad trips. Ive tripped with friends a couple of times and its been mad fun. Having a good friend there wasted with you makes it more enjoyable.

Nature is the best to trip in. Ive tripped at raves, parties and other places and tripping in nature is by far the best. You feel so much closer to the world when everything is natural. Nothin better than getting together with some good friends and trippin whilst going on an adventure through a forest or park :)

Man after reading your story I've come to conclude one thing...Drug's are my best friend lol. Not because it's evil, I dont think anything is wrong with any drug. It's just like...it's fuckin' amazing that a substance or something that was made to go into your body could trip you out like that. I mean it really is amazing to me.

Cool report, it sounds intense.. Are the visulas on acid way stronger than shrooms? Because ive done shrooms, alcohol, salvia, dxm, and K. (of course weed too) But this sounds like its more intense than any of those.

Yeah...They say that acid is 4000 times stronger than ecstasy or shrooms.

^ i doubt that, shrooms can be pretty intense.
