Pot and food

Alright, well I know that eating after you smoke can diminish or at least wear down the high (at least to me, I'm not sure what the general consensus is with everyone else). What about eating before you smoke? I've asked one of my friends and he said it actually intensifies it because of the natural chemicals and stuff that is flowing through your bloodstream via digestion. I'd rather get a second opinion of some more experienced tokers, so what do you guys think about eating before smoking or eating after smoking?

I have no idea as to the affect to the high.

But I have found myself skipping a meal so that I can go smoke and eat later.

same here. but i feel like a fatty after i smoke and then eat so usually, i try to eat a little bit before i smoke so im not craving food as much after. nothing worse than having a food coma after you smoke.

i like to eat while stoned, everything tastes SOOOO GOOD...


but sometimes, i like to just ride the buzz out, so i'll get stuffed before a hit... then i dont have QUITE as bad of munchies, and i wont eat my high away. :)

Same here, if I eat a lil before I smoke I wont have those terrible muchies that make you want to clean out the pantry :stoned:

I really think I get worse munchies when I drink. After a night of drinking, ALL I can think about is getting something to eat, whereas I have learned to control my munchies after smoking.

Do you get drunk more than you get high?

what's really strange is that when i get high, i get cottonmouth and my eyes are fried, but i have NO trace of the munchies WHATSOEVER! am i a biological anomoly, or does anyone else react like this?

i think i am the same as you.
but eating is interesting.


like eating things that are crisp like lettuce, even if im not hungry, it feels nice in my cottonmouth :D

I find I get really sleepy if I munch out. So I try and eat, then smoke up, but the other way around makes the food taste extra special :cool:

No, I actually don't. I probably drink an average of 2 nights outta the week. It used to be a little more, but I have hit the brakes a little bit since classes started. I smoke everyday though, and I still know that I get the munchies worse when I am drunk. That actually came to me last night while I was drinking.

i smoke, eat, then if the high wears off, i smoke some more. problem solved.

I don't eat after smoking. I resist the munchies.

I eat before I smoke, but haven't found the high to be any different if I hadn't eaten.

Maybe it has to do with the individual's body chemistry.

Yeah I dont ever notice a different high other than me being full and then get tired. That happens with anything though really. You eat, get full, and go to sleep. It's just science.

Yeah I find that I need to eat before hand so like have breakfast and then have a smoke other wise i would go straight back to sleep when if I have breaky it's all happening.
